Added by valterbresolin, 25 Oct 2008 My Sonata for violin and piano was written soon after I had classes with Professor Almeida Prado in 2003 and I dedicated it to his daughter, the violinist Miss Constanza Almeida Prado. The 1st Movement describes a romantic Brazilian country landscape with touches of contemporary elements. The 2nd Movement(Amazonian Scherzo), as dubbed by Mr. Almeida Prado, evokes the wild life in the rainforest and I use some possible piano and violin techniques to imitate the sounds and noises from the Amazon. The 3rd Movement is a romantic piece evoking a "lazy" sunset by the Amazon river. The 4th Movement(RONDO) is a lively Brazilian dance in Rondo form where the piano "talks","dances" and "defies" the violin. |
