A three part canon repeats the command "Away with the winter, away with the cold" and successfully overthrows King Winter's hold. Teaching elements include chromatic passages, minor to major key changes and telling a story through music with dramatic dynamics. The Greensburg, Kansas high school choir received top ratings at contest with this piece. | |||
