Added by magataganm, 27 Feb 2013 Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (1689–1755) was a French baroque composer of instrumental music, cantatas, opéra-ballets, and vocal music. Boismortier was one of the first composers to have no patrons: having obtained a royal license for engraving music in 1724, he made enormous sums of money by publishing his music for sale to the public. His Sonata in G Major (Opus 44 No. 3) is from 6 Flute Sonatas and was published in 1733 and although originally written for flute(s) and basso continuo, I created this unusual arrangement for Flute and French Horn. Sheet central : | 6 Sonates pour Flûte (3 sheet music) | |
