The horn is a brass instrument also known as the corno
or French horn. It has 20 feet (6.1m) of tubing which
is wrapped into a coil, and ends in a flared bell. A
player of the horn is referred to as a "horn player",
or less commonly a "hornist".
The instrument has its origins in Germany, but is often referred to as the French horn. Since 1971 the international Horn Society has recommended that it simply be called the horn. However the name French horn persists in some countries today. <...(+) |
