Added by bhannavichaya-vadhanasiriphongs, 21 Aug 2015 Thai A380, BKK-NRT is the composer’s first piece for Brass instruments. The work was inspired after listened to Arthur Honegger’s Pacific 231. This piece stimulated the composer’s real situation when traveled to Japan with Thai Airways, A380 from Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi to Tokyo Narita Airport. The piece begins from boarding time, the sustain notes stimulated the engine sound that we may heard very often when get into the aircraft. The major-third melody stimulated the smoking and seat-belt sign which we also heard very often either. The second part, safety instructions and taking off, the motive came from Thai Airways safety video, before the vibrato of trombone means the aircraft is taking off. Cruising part, experienced turbulence, the motive is uncertain to feel the turbulence. Finally, descend and landing, the trill means that the aircraft has to use slats and flaps in order to landed. Slats and Flaps make the disturb sound. The climax trill means the landing gear reach the runway. After the aircraft landed, the safety video motive returns to review passengers’ memory on Thai Airways’ inflight. Thai A380, BKK-NRT lasts about 6.20 minutes. |
