To M Bell:Well it is not actually 'an organ piece'. Its from Handel's opera Scipione |
I am so used to hearing this piece as a military march (for which it is so suitable, with its mixture of pride at what has been achieved, and sorrow at the price that has been paid), that I was very surprised to read that it is an organ piece, maybe composed with a wholly different agenda in mind. |
good transcription. Just a couple of small errors. Bars 9 and 10 in the bass part have a spurious bar line that should not be there. |
