Added by FS, 06 Apr 2016 "Since First" is one of the most commonly-sung AICSA songbook pieces, and as such is a must-know for every AICSA chorister. History 'Since First' was first published in Thomas Ford's "Music of Sundry Kinds" in 1607. Note that Thomas Ford did not write the original (although it is commonly attributed to him); instead, "Music of Sundry Kinds" was a collation of pieces by unknown or obscure composers and songwriters. It is likely, though, that he introduced his own interpretation and alterations to the pieces; as such, with no other known claimant to the authorship of this piece, he is given composer credit 'by default'.
