| Added by michelnossorguine, 22 Nov 2022 The Slavonic liturgy receives at the end of the first millennium of the Christian Era, via Byzantium, a developed form of the celebration of the "Great and Holy Saturday", such as it took place in the Holy Sepulcher, in Jerusalem in the first centuries of the Christianity. At matins, verses of praise, interspersed between the verses of Psalm 118 “Blessed are the blameless”, content the amazement of the angels at the sight of the Lord laid in the tomb and glorify His saving resurrection of the human race. I composed for the attention of the men's choir of the Colline Saint-Serge in Paris, which I directed from 2008 to 2016, the first three stanzas of praise of each of the three "stanzas" punctuating this vast liturgical poem . | |||
