The arrangement for brass quintet is a beautiful setting of the second movement of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony in A Major. One of the more popular of his works, the movement weaves melodies in counterpoint under a continuous pulse growing in strength as the piece reaches a climax, then brings it back to a somber close.
