Score and Full Set of 4 Parts This well known children's song is based on the old German folk tune Lauterbach Hab' Ich Mein Strumpf Verlor'n dating back to 1827 and was first published with lyrics by Septimus Winner in 1864. It has been arranged for the younger Orff Ensemble performers using simple rhythms and basic note values. Sop Glock and Alto Met play the tune throughout. Alto Glock provides some harmony with a simple bass line played by Bass Xylo. Arranged in the key of F Major, players will need their Bb bars. Dynamics and tempo markings are suggested ones only and Marimba makes a nice substitute for the Bass Xylo.

Composed 2000. Duration: 4:00. For ensemble with instruments in C, Bb, F Eb, voices and percussion as directed in the score. The music is presented as a performing score. Where no clef is given, play with as if with a clef as directed in the score text (see Minute two). Transposing instruments play as written and do not transpose. It is allowed, however, for special transposed parts to be created in order to ensure an even distribution of the intended chordal harmony where this would otherwise be missing. There should be a few seconds silence between each of the four sections. During Minute one players other than the soloist strum their fingers rapidly on the body of their instruments, chairs etc., very quietly - producing an almost imperceptible dull sound (not 'tinny' or 'bright'). Programme Note: 'Four Minutes - Four Daydreams' was composed by Paul Burnell in 2000. It was first performed by the London CoMA Ensemble, conductor Simon Foxley, at Morley College, London on the 29th October 2000. The piece has four distinct sections, each 1 minute long. Like an extended daydream each section is progressively more developed. The piece was included on the 2013 album 'Cabbage Heads'.

Published by J Garratt Composer (A0.1029072). 'The Hammer & Anvil' is the piece that adorns the balustrade of the band stand in Parade Gardens, Bath, UK. The band stand was forged by the National Heritage Ironwork Group as a gift to the city during their 2018 'BathIron' festival. The piece is written for 2 treble clef parts and a bass clef part and can be performed by any group of instruments. For the original performance it was performed on 2 Bb Clarinets and a Bass Clarinet.About the piece:'The Hammer & Anvil' is derived from the melody of an English folk song about a blacksmith (ironworker) which has been adapted and augmented to be used as a melodic foundation throughout the piece, similar to an isorhythm in medieval compositions. The piece is in two sections: the A section where the folk melody is confined to the bass and the B section where the melody is split between all three parts. A repeated rhythmic motif, representative of an ironworker using his hammer and anvil, is used to accompany and/or decorate this melody.

This composition begins with a 12/8 rock tempo. Although it is written in C, the composition is begins in D Minor. The Marimba keeps the 12/8 going while the other three become punctuations. The punctuation continues while the Glockenspiel plays the melody. At measure 15 the song moves into a 6/8 feel. At measure 34 the song returns to the original 12/8 feel. The composition then splits to where the Vibraphone takes on harmony in the 12/8 feel while the Glockenspiel and Xylophone take on a 6/8 countermelody. A short bridge is created by stacking the other 2 on top of the Vibraphone and Marimba 12/8 feel. Then it splits again to where the Xylophone stays with the Vibraphone and Marimba pattern and the Glockenspiel goes off on it's own. During this time the Glockenspiel folds in the 6/8 melody, creating a pleasant conflict. The song D.C.'s to the original 12/8 content. The committee selected the best ones submitted and we brought the students and their families to Philadelphia where the Philadelphia Classical Symphony performed their pieces on a public concert. The title of Dandelion Wind comes from watching the white seeds blow off of a dandelion head in a strong breeze. Once in motion, the seeds travel with the wind until they come to a final resting place on the ground below. This piece flows along in that vein of a seedling's windblown journey.Although two marimbas were used in the sound file, the piece works equally well with vibraphones, xylophones, or a vibe/xylo/marimba mix. It has a slight Celtic feel to it, and it comes in at just over 1:30 if played at the minimum suggested tempo. It's a great choice for your percussion ensemble or to showcase a pair of mallet players in your program. Our Dream, is a work for small symphonic orchestra, multilevel, where the winds oscillate between a level 2 to 3 and the strings between 1 and 3. The emotion of seeing an orchestral movement born in the municipality of Piendamó, in the department of Cauca , Colombia, gave foot to the creation of this work, commissioned to be released on the day that the Piendamó Symphony Orchestra offered its first public concert.Nuestro Sueño, es una obra para pequeña orquesta sinfónica, multinivel, donde los vientos oscilan entre un nivel 2 a 3 y las cuerdas entre 1 y 3. La emoción de ver nacer un movimiento orquestal en el municipio de Piendamó, en el departamento del Cauca, Colombia, dio pié a la creación de esta obra, encargada para ser estrenada el dÃa que la Orquesta Sinfónica de Piendamó ofreció su primer concierto público.

It was conceived as a sequel to La rédemption (1882). The 1886 Paris premiere again featured Jean Baptiste Faure. Gounod considered this oratorio, and its predecessor La rédemption (1882) as his greatest achievements. This arrangement is designed for a double string orchestra, harp and percussion. The sonority obtained from this arrangement is unique in its conception and can be very well received by the public. Lacking original woodwinds and brasses from Gounod's score, the string orchestra will be an excellent choice for performing in concerts, recitals, funerals and church preludes.Flavio Regis Cunha is a pianist, conductor and composer from São Paulo - Brasil.
