Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797336 Arranged by Nancy Hurrell. Celtic,Classical,Concert,Holiday. Score. 106 pages. Afghan Press Music for the Harp #4807901. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp (A0.797336). Playing in a harp ensemble is bliss! Continuing in the tradition of Nancy Hurrell’s other ensemble books, these arrangements for mixed level groups are fun for everyone. The tunes are from Scotland and Ireland, and include a duet, and three-part and four-part ensembles. There are also seven great solos. In addition to the usual toe-tapping Scottish reels, the arrangements use melodic patterns to suggest ripples in the sea (Aran Boat Song), fluttering wings (The Butterfly), and jingling coins (Little Donald of the Sweets). There’s a wonderful range of styles from ancient harmonies to traditional Carolan to jazzy reels. These arrangements have multi-level parts so everyone can join in and play together. Solos are Loch Gamhna, Cliffs of Moher,The Birken Tree, Captain Campbell, Eilean Beag Donn a’Chuain, Little Brown Island in the Ocean (D. Morrison), The High Reel, George Brabazon, Second Air (Turlough O’Carolan). Duet Arrangements are Latha a’ Siubhal Slèibhe Dhomh, One Day as I was Travelling the Mountains.Three Part Ensembles are Domhnall Beag an t-Siucair, Little Donald of the Sweets, Cha Bhi Mi ’Gad Thà ladh, I Will Not Rock You to Sleep, The Butterfly, Miss Murphy (Turlough O’Carolan), The Aran Boat Song. Four Part Ensemble is Flowers of Edinburgh.

Small Ensemble Dulcimer,Flute,Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.963938 Arranged by Reba Lunsford. Celtic,Concert,Folk,Sacred. Score and parts. 53 pages. Reba Lunsford #4844837. Published by Reba Lunsford (A0.963938). Three beautiful and mostly familiar tunes in ensemble combination. Play them with all of the different instruments or as few as you want. The harp parts can be played on piano, as well, and the hammered dulcimer and flute lines can be used for other concert pitch C instruments. Mountain dulcimer parts are written in notation and tablature. Tunings are D-A-D and D-G-D, no capo required. There are no tricky rhythms or techniques, so busy musicians can work these songs up with little preparation. The harp part has two formats: medium difficulty level for full range lever or pedal harp and easy or lap harp. The lap harp parts are suitable for 22-string instruments ranging from G-G. All songs are written in the harp-friendly key of G. Words for each song are included as well as interesting facts about the music and writers. Guitar chords are also included. Notation, done in Finale software, is clean and easy to read. Table of Contents:Manx Lullaby, Simple Gifts, There is a Balm in Gilead

Lever Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1455787 By Brigitte Bonin. By Brigitte Bonin. Folk,Singer/Songwriter. Score. 3 pages. Brigitte Bonin #1034885. Published by Brigitte Bonin (A0.1455787). Here are the score of Le Taulier It's a late beginner piece with the left hand playing always in the same order the bass part and the right hand having a little more fun. I play this piece on a 38 strings harp tuned in Eb, the lowest note is B0 and the highest is D6. But music is not rigid, you can adapt it to your harp (and send me a video I want to see !!) Advices :- for the A and C : as you repeat the measure, to avoid buzzing, place fingers 432 and then 1, not the 4 fingers at once.- don't worry about the original tempo, if you play it without singing it, you can accelerate, but if you also learn the singing part, 132 is optimum.Note : it's a love song, you will know that you're playing it well when you'll feel love playing it ;) Lyrics (french)Il m’a dit au revoir Ce vieux briscard Il a dit au revoirRaconte pas d’histoiresOn a vécu tous les joursSur le fil de l’amourOn a vécu tous ces joursOn s’aimera toujoursT’as régies ma vieMon cœur est mes enviesTu m’as apprisL’alchimie Le Taulier Loge et nourritContre un peu d’or

Flute,Harp,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1174114 By Schwarz Matthew H. By Matthew H Schwarz. Arranged by Matthew H Schwarz. Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. 12 pages. Matthew H Schwarz #774278. Published by Matthew H Schwarz (A0.1174114). A four-minute haunting duet for flute and harp. Generally modal/melodic accessible music. There are some more advanced rhtyhms and high passages in the flute, and Bach-like runs in the harp that will require practice for intermediate musicians. The flute goes from low C to the B an octave above the treble cleff (but, only one 3-measure passage goes above the D above the treble cleff). The harp part can be played on a pedal harp or, with a little effort, on a lever harp. It starts in two flats, there's a middle section with F#s (with time to switch levers - the sheet music indicates some bass notes that can be skipped to flip levers), and the end adds Ab (which will require two levers flipped by reaching over with the right hand - unusual, but not too awkward with practice). The lowest note in the harp is the G below the bass cleff (however, all notes below the bass cleff are octave doublings and could be ignored on a smaller harp), and the highest is the D above the treble cleff.

This is an arrangement of a well loved Irish tune for lever (Irish ) harp. It needs a lever change. This tune is a must-have for one's wedding repertoire. One needs to be able to roll chords. If some of the chords are too fat they can be thinned out a little for a beginner. Dynamics and fingering are optional.

Harp - Digital Download SKU: A0.912238 Composed by Traditional Irish. Arranged by Harpoline. Celtic,Holiday. Score. 5 pages. Harpoline #6269711. Published by Harpoline (A0.912238). Get your feet tapping with these three Irish polkas. The Kerry polka is of course the most well known of the three, but the other ones fit very well with it. From the second to the third polka there is a lever change. With a little practice this is not too hard. The first two polkas are in D and the last one in G but it will keep a C sharp in the right hand. One can do more repeats if desired. One can also learn just one polka or two. Fingerings are marked but if you don't like them change them. .

Composed by Pyotr Ilich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Romantic Period, Repertoire, Recital. Individual Part, Solo Part. 6 pages. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira
The Children's Album is dedicated to Tchaikovsky's favorite nephew, Vladimir Davydov. On 12/24 December 1878, Tchaikovsky wrote to Lev Davydov: "Tell Bobik that the music has been printed with pictures, that the music was composed by Uncle Petya, and that on it is written Dedicated to Volodya Davydov. The silly little fellow will not understand what dedicated means... Even so, Bobik is an inimitably delightful figure when he's playing, and he might look at the notes, and think that a whole symphony is dedicated to him“.

In a letter of 30 April/12 May 1878 to Nadezhda von Meck, the composer wrote: "A while ago I thought that it would not be a bad idea to make a small contribution to the stock of children's musical literature, which is very modest. I want to create a series of little individual pieces just for children, and with an attractive title, like Schumann`s.

Some months before this letter was written, while staying in Florence on 14/26 February, Tchaikovsky told Pyotr Jurgenson that he wanted "to write a number of easy pieces, like Kinderstück“. Evidently, the idea of creating a collection of pieces for young people had not been abandoned by the composer, and after his return to Kamenka in April he decided to begin composition. In the aforementioned letter to Nadezhda von Meck, he informed her: "Tomorrow I shall start working on my collection of miniatures for children".

On 1/13 May the composer wrote to Anatoly Tchaikovsky: "I'm working well and have done rather a lot". On 4/16 May the sketches for all 24 pieces were ready. Shortly afterwards, Tchaikovsky accepted an invitation from Nadezhda von Meck to stay at her Brailov estate until the end of May/beginning of June, before spending a few days in Moscow; from there he went to spend five days with his friend Nikolay Kondratyev at Nizy, and in mid/late June he called at Kiev, before returning to Verbovka. In the days following his arrival, he began to put the finishing touches to all the pieces written in April and May. The fair copy of the Children's Album was begun, it seems, on 13/25 July.

By 20 July/1 August the copying out was completed, and on 21 July/2 August the composer told Nadezhda von Meck that he was working on the Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom.

On 29 July/10 August the manuscript of the Children's Album, along with a number of other compositions, was sent to Pyotr Jurgenson in Moscow. In October, after the proofs had been corrected, the album was published.

P.S.- Other than a modest suggestion for an interpretation, this arrangements remain absolute faithful to the original composition.

The first version is in the original key of g minor, the second is transposed to „a minor“, the third one is intended for a little lap harp and transposed to d minor. It sounds better in the original key of g minor. I used a lot the d minor version and performed it with my little harp very often, always experiencing a very deep musical feedback.

A little nuance was added to the arrangements, thus obliged by its minimal use on the original manuscripts.

I included the original long and expressive leggato bows and left out the staccatos for the left hand between the bars 17 and 20. I felt somehow awkward when applying this technic on the harp myself.

May be the staccatos suites you best, and you should try it.

The score was written on Finale.

The sound file was produced with samplers from Garritan,

intended as an audio support for the presentation of the score.

A reproduction of Tchaikovsky`s original manuscript is added to the file as a reference to the original sources of this composition, it is an extra bonus intentionally didactic and obviously not included in the price of the arrangement itself.

Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file.

I hope you enjoy the music.

The Children's Album is dedicated to Tchaikovsky's favorite nephew, Vladimir Davydov. Harp, Lever Harp Solo - Advanced Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791). Arranged by Stephanie Bennett. Classical Period, Valentine's Day, Anniversary, Wedding, Recital. 6 pages. Published by Harpworld Music Co.
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major) is one of Mozart’s most beloved works. Written in 1787, it was scored for two violins, viola, and cello with optional double bass. The German title means “a little serenade,” though it is often translated more literally as “a little night music.”

In this arrangement of the second movement (“Romanza,” meaning “Romance”), I have omitted two sections that were too chromatic to work well on lever harp. What is left is uniformly gracious, calm and romantic - lovely for concerts, for background music or for wedding processionals.

Meticulously notated with fingerings and muffles. Lever changes are indicated by diamond-shaped notes.

There are 3 pages of music, plus a page explaining all the notations.

For an easier version, you could play just the first section (the first page of music), in which there are NO lever changes. For advanced lever harpers wishing to play the entire arrangement, there are 21 lever changes (not counting the repeats). Full levers needed (there are Bb’s, F#s, C#’s and D#’s.)

Range of harp needed: at least down to the G at the bottom of the bass clef.Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major) is one of Mozart’s most beloved works. Harp - Early Intermediate - Digital Download Arranged by Steve Hill. Classical Period, Repertoire, Recital. 24 pages. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp
This is not your ordinary book of classical music for harp! When Mr. Hill first submitted his book, we played through each piece and noticed that the music is not just simplified piano type arrangements for harp, they are well thought out arrangements that are easy and interesting to play. Creative, work very well on harp, simple yet effective, retaining the correct harmonies. We also checked the table of contents, and these pieces have not been overdone. That makes this collection desirable for many types of occasions: weddings, therapy, recital, and many more. Classical music is acceptable in any situation, and these arrangements are a most welcome addition to the harp repertoire. Well edited with dynamic marks and fingerings.
Table of Contents: Minuet (Vitali), Passepied (Handel), Merry Dance, and Minuet (Rameau), Soldier’s March (Schumann), Scherzo (Clementi), Minuet (Handel), Les Moissonneurs (Couperin), Minuet (D’Anglebert), Courante (Schop), Dance (Vierdanck), Minuet (Couperin), Air (Paisiello), Romance (Beethoven), Little Dance (Haydn), First Loss (Schumann)This is not your ordinary book of classical music for harp!
