Thisarrangement of Apache has been madewith real-world guitar teachers and ensembles in mind.

Perhapsour instrument?s greatest joy is the fact that it exists in so many forms andstyles of music. Some players prefer the electric guitar and read from TAB,others have a classical background and are therefore more familiar with notes;others still prefer reading from chord charts with fretboard diagrams.

Thisdownload considers all of these musicians.

Guitar1 is the main tune, as played by Hank Marvin in The iconic recording made byThe Shadows. The music is provided in both notes and TAB.

Guitar 2is a part with chords. This is given with chord symbols, fretboard diagrams andrhythm patterns.

Guitar3 is designed to include the less-experienced player. It is in open positionand the part, being easy to read, is given in notes. This is an optional part.

Guitar 4is a transcription of the bass line. It is an interesting andrhythmically-exciting part. It is in simple positions and is given in notesonly.

Guitar4 can also be played by a bass guitar. The part is also given in bass clef(sounding an octave lower).

"Give me a boat that can carry two and both shall row, my love and I." From a rich, vibrant Celtic tradition comes the memorable tune "The Water is Wide," lovingly crafted to evoke misty Scottish landscapes with rolling green hills (you can almost smell the heather). This unabashedly romantic acoustic guitar quartet is perfect for weddings, ceilidhs (or any Celtic-themed event), recitals and concerts. For wedding music, this arrangement is recommended as a prelude, unity candle accompaniment, a bridal march or a bridesmaid processional.
As sacred music, "The Water is Wide" is effective as a prelude, postlude, an offertory, silent prayer accompaniment or special music for traditional church services and other worship events. This melody has been used in multiple hymn settings, including "The Gift of Love," "Though I May Speak with Bravest Fire," and as an alternate melody for "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross." 15 pages of music (that includes the score and separate two-page pullout parts for each guitar). The great advantage of these two formats is that you can listen to the piece played by the sofware dynamically (I painstainkingly added the dynamics myself throughout the whole score), plus other nuances like ligados and slides, to give a better understanding and aire of the whole piece. This is the seventh volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.
