Performed in its entirety, the musical makes the full journey from Palm Sunday to Easter morning and climaxes with Allen Pote's blockbuster anthem On the Third Day. The work may be adapted to work as a Lenten cantata by omitting either or both of the first and last pieces. An other variation would be to sing the Hosanna on Palm Sunday, then on Good Friday the bulk of the work, saving On the Third Day your Easter morning service. Accompaniment may be provided by just piano, CD track, or a small instrumental ensemble composed by Mark Kellner.
