(Phoebe Knapp's husband, Joseph Fairchild Knapp, was founder of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.) Phoebe Knapp played a new tune she had just written several times for her friend Fanny Crosby. What do you think the tune says? Crosby replied, Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine.
