The dedicatees of the work composed in 2014 for four- to eight-part choir are the (former) Cathedral's director of music Martin Berger and the Choir of the Würzburg Cathedral, two musical institutions of the region, which allows conclusions to be drawn about the high artistic value of this composition. Even the initial musical expression marking 'Atmosphärisch bewegt' [Atmospherically emotional] points to the intense sensual tonal spheres in which the award-winning composer puts both singers and listeners in this c. 8-minute sacred work using words by Edith Stein.

Just as the famous painter creates literary images with his letters and knows how to visualize landscapes and frames of mind, the award-winning composer knows how to musically capture such moods and atmospheres. His composition for two- to four-part women's choir (SSAA) and piano lives on dynamic nuances, changes of time, chromaticism and triplet figures as well as harp-like arpeggios which give the work a mystical quality. Due to its chord progressions with great chromaticism, the choral part of this c. 4-minute work contains some intonational obstacles which are worth negotiating while holding out the prospect of a unique sound experience.

German.Diesem Stück diente der Eingangssatz der „Desiderata“ (oder auch „Lebensregel von Baltimore“) von Max Ehrmann als Textgrundlage, in dem der Gegensatz von innerer Ruhe und äußerer Unruhe auf prägnante Weise dargestellt ist. Die Aufforderung, den in der Stille wohnenden Frieden zu bewahren, die der Text dabei zum Ausdruck bringt, gab diesem Chorstück seine Form und den immer textbezogenen musikalischen Gestus in nahezu motettischer Umsetzung.Die durch Halteklänge entstehenden Dissonanzen verfeinern das harmonisch tonale Klangbild. Eine Art „Begleitstruktur“, die auf einer Klangsilbe fast schon „instrumental“ zu singen ist, symbolisiert als Kontrast den Lärm und die Hektik – die Unruhe unserer Zeit.
