"Silent Night" (German: "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht") is a popular Christmas carol, composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr in the small town of Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria. It was declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2011.

In arranging this piece, I strove to avoid the overly dramatic and/or corny treatments that sometimes accompany this beautiful Christmas piece. This oboe arrangement of Silent Night is perfect for Christmas recitals and performances as well as church performances.

Silent Night for Easy Piano Duet.

A straightforward but enjoyable to play arrangement of Silent Night, written for a junior string ensemble with easy third violin, exactly doubled in a viola part (alto clef part included but not in the score). The piano accompaniment completes some of the harmonies, the notes of which were yet to be learnt by the players for which this arrangement was written for. In order to facilitate finding bar numbers easily, all parts have a standard eight bars per line. Score and parts (plus optional viola) included.

Silent Night has been arranged for the mid-to-late beginner harpist. Fingering suggestions and brackets are included. It is in the key of G, making it easier to sing if desired. 2 pages. The last page features some suggestions on how to vary the accompaniment while keeping it easy and fitting for a small harp of 22-26 strings.
