(+)
Piano Trio - Advanced - Digital Download Composed by 15th Century Traditional, 17th Century Traditional, 19th Century Traditional, Adolphe Adam. Arranged by Graham Yates. Contemporary Classical, Christian, Blues, Christmas, Pop. Score, Set of Parts. 29 pages. Published by Graham Yates
A medley of four Christmas carols of French Origin: Noël nouvelet (Sing We Now of Christmas), Un flambeau, Jeanette, Isabelle (Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabelle), Il est né, le divin enfant (He Is Born, the Holy Child), and Minuit, chrétiens (O Holy Night). Arranged as a "fantasy-sonata" the first movement is driving, the second is a sweet lilting waltz, the third is a lighthearted take on the melody that alternates between "jaunty" and "solemn" (briefly employing bitonal harmonization) before launching into a blues variation. The finale is a "slow R&B" reimagining of O Holy Night that can be thought of somewhat as the love ballad reprise at the end of a Disney movie.<br> <br> The trio lasts 9 minutes, and is suitable as a prelude or postlude for a church service or as part of a holiday recital. The difficulty is advanced, though the writing is simple enough that it should be able to be put together with minimal rehearsal time.<br> <br> For more information, please contact graham.yates@gmail.com

Guitar, (guitar trio or large ensemble) - Early Intermediate - Digital Download By John Williams & Sky. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Score, Set of Parts. 13 pages. Published by Derek Hasted
Arranger Derek Hasted writes "This is a very straightforward trio arrangement of the slow and gentle piece "Carillon", composed for, and played by Sky.<br> <br> (I've also written a duet version, where Guitar 2 and 3 are merged onto one guitar)<br> <br> Guitar 3 would suit a complete beginner with just a few months' experience - and what a thrill to be part of a piece that John Williams played!<br> <br> Guitar 2 is an arpeggio accompaniment that uses simple and common shapes.<br> <br> Guitar 1 ventures up the neck, but it's such a slow piece that this is really straightforward."<br> <br> This would be great in a school concert, but also an adult ensemble would find it a crowd-pleaser that takes little effort to perform! <br> <br> This is one of a growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts with no page turns in the part scores. Check out Derek's other arrangements - search SheetMusicPlus for Derek Hasted and you'll see the full list, all with soundclips and sample score.

Ode to Joy by Beethoven for Recorder Trio

Recorder Trio Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148908 Composed by Lud…

Recorder Trio Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148908 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Instructional,March,Opera,Romantic Period. Recorder Ensemble. 10 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #749041. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1148908). This arrangement adapted for recorder trio was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, that is, inspiring and significant to the already known choral symphony by Beethoven, indicated to be performed by young music students, who want to enter the symphonic music, moreover, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change in key, so that it is comfortable for all instruments in the formation, thus maintaining the essence of the striking melody, as well as using it for ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Op. 125 incorporates part of the poem An die Freude (To Joy), a hymn written by Friedrich Schiller, with the text sung by soloists and a choir in its last movement. It was the first example of a major composer using the human voice as prominently as the instruments in a symphony, thus creating a far-reaching work that set the tone for the symphonic form that was to be adopted by Romantic composers. This is the last complete symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. The choral symphony, better known as the Ninth Symphony or The Ninth, is one of the best known works in the Western repertoire, considered both an icon and predecessor of Romantic music, and one of Beethoven's great masterpieces, where it was first performed on May 7, 1824, the same year it was completed, at the Kärntnertortheater in Vienna, Austria. The conductor was Michael Umlauf, the theater's music director, and Beethoven - dissuaded from conducting by the advanced stage of his deafness - was given a special place on the stage next to the conductor. It was later rearranged by Herbert von Karajan to become the anthem of the European Union in 1972, the national anthem of Rhodesia from 1974 until 1979, Rise, O Voices of Rhodesia, used the tune Ode to Joy..

Clarinet Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.553769 Composed by Domenico Gallo. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Baroque,Holiday,Wedding. 11 pages. RayThompsonMusic #4283761. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553769). This music was originally attributed to Giovanni Pergolesi, as they were in a Mr R. Bremner's original 1780 London publication and also arranged by Hugo Riemann, and again wrongly attributed to Giovanni Pergolesi. It is actually made up of 3 different pieces: Gallo's 2nd Trio Sonata in Bb. Mvts I and III, and Trio Sonata No 8 in Eb.All 3 Gallo mvts were used by Igor Stravinsky in the 3rd mvt. Scherzinoof his Neo Classical Pulcinella Suite. There is few bars joining the 3 mvts...one is Stravinsky's own, one is from a Pergolesi Opera. The Pulcinella Suite for small chamber orchestra and 3 vocalists which was derived from the ballet, was written in 1922 and has no vocal parts. But even though Stravinsky used Pergolesi's(which were in this case Gallo's) melodies and bass lines with little change, he managed to put his own unmistakable stamp on the music through his use of modern harmonies and occasional rhythmic modifications.I have used transcriptions of the original pieces, but have transposed them into the keys used by Stravinsky. I have included the original Pergolesi Aria as the first link, and a scale passage of my own for the second. My arrangement is in the same format as Stravinsky's so is a complete work.I have another upload with the 3 separate movts in their original keys. This arrangement is interesting to play and  do not sound too dissimilar to Stravinsky's final work.It is arranged for clarinet trio (2 Bb and bass)https://youtu.be/PMC-84MmuYw

Recorder Trio Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1147408 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Film/TV,Instructional,March,Romantic Period. Recorder Ensemble. 10 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #747616. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1147408). This arrangement adapted for recorder trio was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, in order to be performed by young music students who want to enter the symphonic music. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change of key, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as for use in ensemble practice between musicians of different traditions. Ludwig van Beethoven began concentrated work on his Symphony No. 7 in A major Op. 92 in 1811, it was completed in 1812, and was dedicated to Count Moritz von Fries, and premiered in Vienna on December 8, 1813. It is considered a remarkable example of the more ebullient side of Beethoven's compositional personality and evidence that even after the onset of deafness, he still found cause for musical optimism. The second movement Allegretto is a funeral march in everything but name. Often several contrasting melodic ideas are made to coexist, as if Beethoven were imagining several processions converging on the cemetery at the same time. As he was working on this symphony during the years of the Napoleonic Wars, this experience was probably within his experience. It was also used as the soundtrack to the film Knowing, by director Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage, where it is used in the final scene of the film. Beethoven called Symphony No. 7 his most excellent symphony, and a music critic of the time reported, this symphony is the most melodically rich and the most pleasing and comprehensible of all Beethoven's symphonies..

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1439047 Composed by Todd Marchand. Christian,Sacred. 5 pages. Con Spirito Music #1019076. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1439047). “Let All the World in Ev’ry Corner Sing” is a short poem from the collection, The Temple, by Anglican priest, poet, and orator George Herbert (1593-1633). A contemporary of William Shakespeare and John Milton, God-child to poet John Donne, Herbert is associated with the 17th-century Metaphysical poets and “is remembered as a pivotal figure: enormously popular, deeply and broadly influential, and arguably the most skillful and important British devotional lyricist of his or any other time.” Shortly before his death in 1633 at age 39, Herbert directed that a manuscript of his religious poems be sent to his fellow clergyman and friend, Nicholas Ferrar, reportedly saying, “Tell him ... if he can think it may turn to the advantage of any dejected poor Soul, let it be made publick: if not, let him burn it: for I and it, are less than the least of God’s mercies.” First published in 1633, The Temple was an enormously popular work, totaling more than 20,000 copies printed in 13 editions between 1633 and 1679.“Let All the World in Ev'ry Corner Sing” is the refrain of Herbert’s poem, “Antiphon (I),” which appeared in the “Christian Life” section of The Temple. An antiphon may be defined as a short sentence or refrain sung or recited before or after a psalm or canticle; and in Herbert's short poem of two stanzas, he may also have intended that the verses be recited antiphonally (alternately) by two groups. The third stanza in this setting for SATB voices and organ, a doxology by an unknown author, was added in the 19th century. ©Copyright 2024 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP).
