Calixa Lavall�e was a 19th Century Canadian composer best known for his stirring national anthem, O Canada. Meditation is a glorious lyrical solo in the romantic style, composed for the famous cornet virtuoso, Matthew Arbuckle and is about 4 minutes in length for advanced peformers.

With works by Oskar Boehme, Anton Rubinstein, Anton Doerfeldt and others. The editor Kristin Thielemann has recorded all the pieces together with trumpeter Reinhold Friedrich and pianist Eriko Takezawa-Friedrich as demo versions.
