Written in 2007 on the occasion of a friend'sbirthday, these variations are inspired by the music of the classical andromantic period. Among the most famous collections of the flute repertoire, forexample, are those of Mercadante, Beethoven and Chopin. In particular, those ofMercadante were taken as a model.

The theme is followed by four variations and a coda,bright and virtuosic.

The choice of dynamics and articulation is left to thediscretion of the performer, who will have regard to the execution practicetypical of the classical era.

This collection includes six arrangements for piano duet (one piano, four hands) to celebrate holidays throughout the year, plus a bonus arrangement of the traditional \"Happy Birthday\" song. Each of these pieces is arranged creatively to provide a memorable musical offering suitable for church services, recitals, or other special occasions. Primo and secondo parts are fairly well balanced in difficulty and involvement, and are accessible to the intermediate pianist. \"Danse Macabre\" could be classified as intermediate or late intermediate, depending on the tempo you choose. 64 pages.
