Piano Accompaniment - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1477614 By Stacey Plays Hymns. By Stacey Plays Hymns. Arranged by Anastace. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Accompaniment. Duration 235. Anastace #1054994. Published by Anastace (A0.1477614). As of this publishing, over 140,000 people have found my one video collection of funeral hymns on YouTube, not including separate postings of each individual song. Because of this it's been on my mind for a long time to write a funeral song, but it was somehow just never the right time until just a few weeks ago when this one came pouring out in 5 minutes flat [which does not happen often, I can assure you!]. The culmination of years of playing for funerals, a bachelor degree in theology and sacred music, and many more years of writing and playing music through good times and also times full of grief, Lord of All Our Days is my very best and heartfelt attempt to serve those who are also dealing with the absolute heartache of loss, be it the acute, fresh grieving of just losing someone or the flashbacks that come time and time again, years and even decades later. This song carefully and tenderly handles the true earth-shaking grief that it is to lose someone you love, while holding out a strong hope of the life to come for those who trust God. I had a very difficult time recording it without being moved to tears over and over, and I pray it will reach many in need of comfort, being of service to anyone who is looking for a Christian, Biblical funeral hymn for a memorial service or a celebration of life service. Also available, by searching Stacey Plays Hymns and the song title on this site, is an accompaniment track with the full backup vocals as well as the following sheet music versions:Piano Vocal in Bb Minor to match the original recording [vocal range: Bb3-Bb4]Piano Vocal in C Major for easier playing and a better congregational vocal rangeLead Sheet for piano or guitar in C Major - best key for singing without a capoLead Sheet in G minor for piano or guitar [play capo 3 or more to match the original key]For other formats including large print, a different key to match a soloist's preferred range, or piano solo for a matching prelude or postlude, please write me at staceyplayshymns@gmail.com and I'll be glad to make them especially for you. Purchase includes a free license for one funeral or memorial service with under 1000 people, with proper attribution and credit in all printed or online materials. For a license to use this work on a larger scale, please contact me for permission and other usage details including lyrics formatted for printing in church bulletins or for powerpoint. Please let me know if there is any other way I can serve you as a congregation or fellow music/choir director as I endeavour to write several new choral anthems per year, along with my other recording work.Thank you for supporting modern hymnwriters and musicians!

Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow / Bach 2-part Invention #13 (Solo Piano)

Small Ensemble Flute,Harp,Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.774290 Composed by Public Domain. Arranged by Peggy Duquesnel. 20th Century,Holiday,New Age,Sacred,Spiritual. Score and parts. 5 pages. Duquesnel Music Publishing #6630965. Published by Duquesnel Music Publishing (A0.774290). Peggy's unique arrangement of this classic hymn combines with J.S. Bach's 2-part Invention # 13 in Am is fresh and inspiring and a new approach to this traditional piece. The solo piano arrangement is suitable for intermediate level pianists and great for church services, memorials concerts and recitals. I've enjoyed playing the music of J.S. Bach since my early years. One day I was studying Bach's Invention #13 and was inspired to combine it with the popular hymn, Praise God From Who All Blessings Flow, also know as the Doxology. Enjoy! https://orcd.co/praisegod_bachinventionhttps://www.pianoorchestrations.com/MusicCDs/PraiseGod/https://joyspringmusic.com/product/praise-god/Nature Video: https://youtu.be/p-CJYxVcvkQDuquesnel Music Publishing Page on Sheet Music Plus: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/duquesnel-music-publishing/2288 Piano Orchestrations Website Sheet Music: https://www.pianoorchestrations.com/MusicCDs/sheetmusic.asp Peggy Duquesnel Music & Social Media Links: https://www.pianoorchestrations.com/MusicCDs/sheetmusic.asp https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/duquesnel-music-publishing/228 https://joyspringmusic.com/ https://open.spotify.com/artist/3jMbAF5hPhRw3o6H8mD3ee https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/peggy-duquesnel/id4259082 https://www.youtube.com/user/peggyduquesnel https://www.amazon.com/s?k=peggy+duquesnel+cds&ref=nb_sb_noss https://soundcloud.com/peggy-duquesnel https://twitter.com/peggyduquesnel http://www.reverbnation.com/peggyduquesnel https://www.facebook.com/PeggyDuquesnel https://www.linkedin.com/in/peggy-duquesnel-malbon-834aa19/ https://www.instagram.com/peggymusic1/

Bach: Wachet auf for Bass Flute & Piano

(+)
Bass Flute,Instrumental Solo,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549846 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Baroque,Concert,Easter,Sacred,Standards. Score and individual part. 12 pages. Jmsgu3 #3554877. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549846). Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Awake, the voice is calling us) from Cantata BWV 140. Duration: ca. 4:00, Score: 6 pages, solo part 1 page, piano part: 4 pages. Program this for church services during the Easter season, weddings, or as a recital encore.Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Awake, the Voice is calling us) also known as: Sleepers Awake Bach composed his church cantata Wachet auf (BWV 140) as part of his second annual cantata cycle covering the entire annual church calendar. It is based on the hymn of the same name by Philipp Nicolai (1599). The hymn text covers the readings for the 27th Sunday after Trinity. Bach designed the cantata in seven movements, setting the stanzas in various forms. Among these forms are the chorale fantasia, the chorale prelude, and a four-part chorale. He casts the new lyrics as recitatives – in a manner similar to the opera. Fourth Movement Bach writes the fourth movement, Zion hört die Wächter singen (Zion hears the watchmen singing), in the style of a chorale prelude with the chorale phrases performed as a strict cantus firmus. The phrases seem to enter at times erratically against the famous lyrical melody. The violins play this melody in unison as a foil against the cantus phrases. The violin melody is so independent and complete that when the cantus melody appears it catches the listener at times totally off-guard. Bach later transcribed this movement for organ (BWV 645). This transcription became No. 1 of the Six Schübler Chorales. Bach Overview First of all, Johann Sebastian Bach is maybe the greatest composer in music history. Certainly, he was prolific. As a result, everyone has heard of his works. Furthermore, these works number well over a thousand. It seems like people are probably most familiar with the instrumental works such as the Brandenburg Concertos, and the Goldberg Variations. But, similarly famous are such noteworthy works as the Well-Tempered Clavier, the Musical Offering, and certainly the Art of Fugue. Seems like his most famous vocal works include the most noteworthy Mass in B Minor. Also, most noteworthy, though, are the St. John Passion, and certainly the Christmas Oratorio. History Bach came from a long line of musicians and above all, composers. Consequently, he, first of all, pursued a career as a church organist. So as a result, he gained employment in various Protestant churches in Germany. For a while, he worked as a court musician in Weimar and Köthen. Here he probably developed his organ style and likewise his chamber music style. Eventually, he, therefore, gained an appointment as Cantor of St. Thomas in Leipzig. Here he worked until difficulties with his employer ultimately drove him away. The King of Poland finally appointed him as court composer. Style It seems like Bach created a fascinating new international style. He synthesized elements of the most noteworthy European music ideas into his new style. Even more, this new style was probably his synthesis of European musical rhythm and form. Furthermore, he demonstrated a complete mastery of counterpoint and motivic development. His sense of harmonic organization probably propelled him to the top. Revival Mendelssohn conducted a Bach revival in the nineteenth century. His effort probably helped to re-familiarize the public with the magnitude of Bach’s works. During this period, scholars published many noteworthy Bach biographies. Moreover, Wolfgang Schmieder published the BWV (Bach Werke Verzeichnis). As a result, this is now the official catalog of his entire artistic output. The BWV number allows us to locate a work in the catalog. Sometimes scholars will simply use an S (Schmieder) as an abbreviation for BWV. &n.

Small Ensemble High Voice,Low Voice,Medium Voice,Piano Accompaniment - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.931668 Composed by 1. Hans Leo Hassler 2. J.S. Bach. Arranged by Wanda J. Cooley. 20th Century,Classical,Easter,Sacred. Score and parts. 14 pages. Wanda J. COOLEY #6270121. Published by Wanda J. COOLEY (A0.931668). Classical Style - This piece begins with a simple plaintive motif in flowing triplets, which is interrupted by occasional duplets. Each verse is text-painted to enhance the words, from minor key reflective verse at the crucifixion scene leading to exciting rapturous cascades in the final verse. The simple style of the original motif returns at the end. It is definitely a reflective piece, appropriate for the Lord's Supper or Easter. Singers will find the accompaniment simple, supportive, and the vocal range narrow [C Major and D Major]. The piano is a straightforward accompanyiment to a singer or instrumentalist, yet it speaks well on its own when sequenced with Overhead PowerPoint Text to provide deeper reflection opportunities. Length is 4:10 minutes. O SACRED HEAD, NOW WOUNDED is available at SheetMusicPlus.com within IN THE CROSS, a complete Pianist's Kit for presenting the Gospel thru 10 hymns arrangements with sequenced Overhead PowerPoint Text. Also included are program and organizational aids, narratives, and promotional graphics so that the pianist's only responsibility is playing the music!

Bass Flute,Instrumental Solo,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.548712 Composed by Martin Luther. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Easter,Instructional,Standards. Score and individual part. 4 pages. Jmsgu3 #3411731. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548712). Out of the Depths I Cry to You by Martin Luther arranged for bass flute & piano. The first verses feature modified counterpoint and harmony proceeding at quarter = 82. The final verse is reharmonized for maximum dramatic effect at a more contemplative tempo such as quarter = 64. Features the entire range of the instrument. Very powerful selection for Lent or Easter. Duration (3 verses) 3:05, 36 ms. Score: 3 pg. Solo part: 1 pg. The piano reads from the score. Out of the Depths Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir (From deep affliction I cry out to you), is, of course, a hymn composed by Martin Luther. Moreover, Luther also wrote the lyrics, essentially a paraphrase of Psalm 130. First published in 1524, it is also one of eight songs in the original Lutheran hymnal. It appears likewise in many hymnals and in different translations. The lyrics furthermore stimulated compositions from the Renaissance to the contemporary. Consequently, composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach built an entire chorale cantata on it. Other composers similarly contributed pieces, such as Felix Mendelssohn and Max Reger. Luther Background Martin Luther, (1483 –1546) was a German professor of theology, composer, priest, and moreover, an influential character in the Protestant Reformation. Luther had a momentous impact on church and society due to his contributions to the musical arts. He wanted to disseminate the gospel among mankind and with this intention thought that the best way to do that was through music. Influence It is important to realize that other musicians, and their descendants, were encouraged by Luther’s songs and wrote their own hymns. Luther, to be sure, had a thorough musical education. For example, he knew secular and sacred songs from an early age. He, in particular, played the lute well and sang in the monastery when he was a monk. That is to say, music was an essential part of his life. He in fact first began writing songs in 1523, sometimes writing the melody as well as the lyrics. Luther was certainly able to evaluate the composers of his time. He thought especially highly of Josquin des and Ludwig Senfl. He was also acquainted, with this in mind, with other composers and their works. Legacy The Lutheran musical ethos soon covered all of Germany and later significantly fashioned Protestant musical culture. Heinrich Schütz and Johann Sebastian Bach are the most compelling evidence of this Protestant musical culture. Additionally, as a point often overlooked, the pedal organ, first refined in northern Germany, became universally prevalent. As a matter of fact, Dieterich Buxtehude established a regular evening organ concert series in Lübeck. Another key point is that this concert series, in turn, spread North German Musical ideas worldwide. Luther was especially convinced that music is a beautiful and exclusive offering of the divine.

Digital Download SKU: A0.1071344 By Jubal's Lyre Music. By Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Martin Dicke. Baroque,Christian,Classical,Lent,Sacred. Full Performance. Duration 348. Jubal's Lyre Music Publishers #1986873. Published by Jubal's Lyre Music Publishers (A0.1071344). This is the downloadable audio file of From Depths of Woe, BWV 686 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) arranged for Brass Choir by Martin Dicke. A full score and set of parts are available on www.sheetmusicplus.com (S0.114465). This intense setting of the Martin Luther (1483-1546) hymn AUS TIEFER NOT was originally composed for organ by Bach as a part of his Clavier-Ãœbung III (Keyboard Practice III). It is a unique six-part setting in which four voices are played by the hands and two by the feet. Bach places the melody of the hymn in the top pedal part. Scored for two trumpets, French horn, two trombones, Euphonium, and Tuba, this arrangement for Brass Choir places the chorale melody (cantus firmus) in the Trombone 2 part. This part can be doubled by a French horn so that the hymn tune stands out from the thick polyphony. The original setting has been transposed down a major third. For more music and information, visit
