Published by Moni Bergo (A0.1012752). Music and song composed by meOF LIGHT AND SHADOW (A new year) Lights that shine On these days of mine Shadows that kill My enthusiasm but there is A whole journey that has been written for me Like a novel, its plot will unveil Another year on me And new days to be invented Find out what will happen It's a good reason to fight The light will illuminate me Or there will be new pain Find out what will happen It's a good reason to stay And I always run so strong For fear of falling Maybe this year I will learn How to do walk And I never slow down my pace Back I can not come back Because I would meet myself And inside me I should look I will fill with light and shadow This my eternal emptiness That I can not placate A thousand songs I will invent If there will be someone who will want to listen In connection with the world singing of fairies, magicians, elves, witches and intrigues always uncomfortable in my time looking for a place, a role in this year new I know that nothing will change yet Of light and shadow I will live I steal from the moon her mysteries I will give them to the sun In exchange for the eternal heat in the heart And like a witch burning at the stake I fire, I melt And born again And the alignment of Jupiter in Pluto The lunar eclipse gives me protection I wish the night would go down fast When my pain never finds peace I wish the sun would shine forever In every season, summer and winter A new year here Before me I mess up his days The gray of November With the warmth of September with lights and shadows I will confuse I will steal the sun in June and my Christmas will heat up and the January ice at Easter I will donate I will confuse the night and the day always mistress of my time in that mirror I will look happy with what I will see and new trips and experiences and emotions on the skin I will live with joy and intensity the light and the shadow that will come how many smiles on my lips will form new wrinkles happy with my age it's a nice finish line to be here and how many tears again will come down on my face will be joy or pain of light and shadow I will live It will be a new year of joys and sorrows of light and shadow of cold and heat ... .. Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797814 By Captain & Tennille. By Toni Tennille. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 13 pages. Derek Hasted #6306437. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797814). DO THAT TO ME ONE MORE TIME - GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This fantastic melody deserves more fame than it gets, though when it first came out it was Captain and Tennille’s second No 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. My arrangement captures the three verses that feature in this piece, and also contains the instrumental break (originally on the lyricon), with most of the ornamentation (except for the big bends that the lyricon can do electronically). This arrangement is set in the same keys as the original, and modulates from C to G (for the instrumental) and then to D.The accompaniment fits nicely on guitar, and it’s ideal for an intermediate duo. With the exception of the instrumental break, which is taken by Guitar 1, neither guitar part comes out of first position all that much, and both parts use familiar chord shapes, whichever key the piece is in at that moment...The roles of tune and accompaniment change over at each verse, so there’s plenty of variety for the players and audience alike. This is one of those pieces that a concert audience will be humming all the way home...I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Voice Duet Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.779671 Composed by Arthur Le Clerq. Arranged by Kim Kirkman. Broadway,Contemporary,Musical/Show,Traditional. Score. 4 pages. Kim Kirkman #6697501. Published by Kim Kirkman (A0.779671). This is a wonderful old comedy song. This is in C major - the high key for sopranosI have put in the first verse that Tessie sings, plus the spoken part. I have changed some of the words of the spoken part to update them.I have then constructed a third verse from other verses that Le Clerq wrote. To sing it exactly like Tessie please repeat first verse.Words:Verse:For years a fairy queen I've bin', For years I foiled the demon king. But alas, I'm getting on, The years have flown somehow,And I feel that Fairy Snowdrop isn't wanted now.Chorus One:Nobody loves a fairy when she's forty.Nobody loves a fairy when she's old.She may still have her magic power, But that is not enough,They like their bit of magic from a younger bit of fluff. When once your silver star has lost its glitter,And your tinsel looks like rust instead of gold.Your fairy days are ending when your wand has started bending.Noone loves a fairy when she's old.Spoken:T'was I who found the magic wand, I will not tell you where.T'was I who found young Tinkerbell, her head was full of airI’ve been a fairy of the flowers, and fairy daffodils,I’ve been a fairy of the wind, and suffer from it still! In certain covered valley hills I go down to the glenBeen loved by all the children and run after by the men. Huh!Noone could touch me at me splits, me splits were all the rage,Until the night woodman left his chopper on the stage, what a mess!Verse 2:Nobody loves a fairy when she's forty.Nobody loves a fairy when she's old.As far as I can see they try to push you off the map,When once your wand has withered and your wings refuse to flap. When you have lost your little fairy dimples,And the mothholes in your dress let in the cold,It seems that they would sooner listen to a blinkin' crooner,Noone loves a fai-y when she's old!

Small Ensemble Medium Voice,Piano Accompaniment,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534375 Composed by Paul Wehage. Concert,Contemporary,Holiday,Love,Standards. Score and parts. 41 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3396161. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534375). To You for Baritone, Tenor Saxophone and piano is dedicated to the American Baritone Kurt Ollmann, who has done much for the promotion and performance of American music both in the United States and abroad.Whitman’s poem speaks of seeing a stranger and feeling love for this person. In contrast to Poe’s To Helen, which treats a similar subject of a chance meeting of a stranger that the poet loves, Whitman does not idealize his subject but rather pointedly and brutally describes how he sees this person and what feelings (both negative and positive) this contemplation provokes in the poet’s mind In order to reflect this musically, there is an alternation between more introspective and brooding sections which are then followed by more ecstatic outbursts. The piece ends with the poet watching the stranger leave, expressing what the composer felt to be acceptance and release. As in any chamber music with voice, it is important that the two instruments allow the voice to predominate, regardless of the dynamics marked in their parts. The saxophonist should try as much as possible to match colour with the voice,in order to allow the contrapuntal exchanges between the voice and the saxophone to blend evenly. The pianist should play the passages at rehearsal marks E, G and K in a more soloist manner, always taking care not to cover the voice..To YouWhoever you are, I fear you are walking the walks of dreams,I fear these supposed realities are to melt from under your feet and hands,Even now your features, joys, speech, house, trade, manners, troubles, follies, costume, crimes, dissipate away from you,Your true soul and body appear before me.They stand forth out of affairs, out of commerce, shops, work, farms, clothes, the house, buying, selling, eating, drinking, suffering, dying.Whoever you are, now I place my hand upon you, that you be my poem,I whisper with my lips close to your ear.I have loved many women and men, but I love none better than you.O I have been dilatory and dumb,I should have made my way straight to you long ago,I should have blabb'd nothing but you, I should have chanted nothingbut you.I will leave all and come and make the hymns of you,None has understood you, but I understand you,None has done justice to you, you have not done justice to yourself,None but has found you imperfect, I only find no imperfection in you,None but would subordinate you, I only am he who will never consentto subordinate you,I only am he who places over you no master, owner, better, God,beyond what waits intrinsically in yourself.Painters have painted their swarming groups and the centre-figure of all,From the head of the centre-figure spreading a nimbus of gold-color'd light,But I paint myriads of heads, but paint no head without its nimbusof gold-color'd light,From my hand from the brain of every man and woman it streams, effulgently flowing forever.O I could sing such grandeurs and glories about you!You have not known what you are, you have slumber'd upon yourselfall your life,Your eyelids have been the same as closed most of the time,What you have done returns already in mockeries,(Your thrift, knowledge, prayers, if they do not return inmockeries, what is their return?)The mockeries are not you,Underneath them and within them I see you lurk,I pursue you where none else has pursued you,Silence, the desk, the flippant expression, the night, theaccustom'd routine, if these conceal you from others or fromyourself, they do not conceal you from me,The shaved face, the unsteady eye, the impure complexion, if thesebalk others they do not balk me,The pert apparel, the deform'd attitude, drunkenness, greed, premature death, all these I part aside. There is no endowment in man or woman that is not tallied in you,There is no virtue,.

Marimba,Multi-Percussion,Timpani - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167742 Composed by Mudiwa Williams. Chamber,Contemporary. 13 pages. Mudiwa Music #768107. Published by Mudiwa Music (A0.1167742). FOR PARTS EMAIL ME: mudiwamusic@gmail.comThis was my first real attempt at a more challenging percussion ensemble piece. I am very passionate about writing music for all instruments, and the world of percussion is hungry for new repertoire. Writing this piece taught me so much about composing for percussion in a way that makes sense to the performers. I’ve always been intimidated by percussion music, and forcing myself to write a piece I’m proud of for percussion has been a journey worth taking. The name comes from the zombies mode in Call of Duty: Cold War. When you “pack-a-punch†the Bullfrog (making it deal more damage) the name changes to “High Anxiety,†which this piece gives me. The harmonies in the marimba are based on an A fully diminished 7th chord, which is a chord with a lot of tension and no resolution.

Large Ensemble Choir - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1022039 Composed by Fredrik Schwenk. 20th Century,Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 2 pages. Fredrik Schwenk #6319845. Published by Fredrik Schwenk (A0.1022039). The present edition contains the score of the interludio ecclesiastico come inserto tra il Credo e il Sanctus della Messa in re maggiore di Antonin Dvorak per coro, organo ed orchestra. The idea to compose a shorter work closely related to Antonin Dvořák's Mass in D major op. 86 came from the director of the course, Prof. Annedore Hacker-Jakobi, from which, after the composer's intensive study of Dvořák's tonally very bright Mass, a dark intermezzo developed as an insert between the Credo and the Sanctus. In the process, Dvořák's scoring was adopted unchanged. The frame text comes from the Credo and was deliberately chosen in reference to Olivier Messiaen's work of the same name. The central text Salvum me fac comes from Psalm 68 and has come down to us as a Gregorian responsorial chant. The title et expecto, intentionally omits the s in et exspecto contained in the ordinarium missae and emphasizes the contradictory meaning between the (Er)warten and the (Er)schauen.

Kommos (Lamentation) / "When the World Moved On" - Timpani

Percussion Solo,Timpani - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018954 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 1 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6078699. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018954). Programme Notes: This composition was written to be considered for pairing alongside Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony #3, the Eroica, but can stand on its own virtues as an intense and slow meditation on heroism. The music is like a boiling pot on the stove that’s just began to overflow its bubbles. The first part of the title, kommos, is a Classical Greek term from Attic dramaturgy, literally meaning striking but specifically referring to beating oneself up during lamentation--ripping at the hair, gouging out the eyes--like Oedipus--slapping the forehead, and other acts amid moments of extreme emotional turmoil. For example, from Aeschylus's play Agamemnon, a character bewails: Apollo, Apollo! God of the Ways, my destroyer! For you have destroyed me-and utterly [...]What is this fresh woe [...]what monstrous, monstrous horror, beyond love's enduring, beyond all remedy? And help stands far away! We can easily imagine physical accompaniment to the script; rather than bottling up the pain, the hero lets it all explosively come out.  The second part of the title, When the world moved on, is an epigraph taken from American author Stephen King’s The Dark Tower epic. The primary setting of the novel, a world similar in many ways to our own, is experiencing a dark age where the glorious past is all but a distant memory and all good things are referred to wistfully as occurring, When the world moved on. Yet, the main protagonist, Roland, the last gunslinger, emphasizes that it is not just a figure of speech, but the literal distances between destinations have increased, the positions of the stars have changed, as well as the occurrence of other unnatural phenomena. The world has become a gulf of isolation from all corners. Taken together, this piece is a lamentation for when the world moved on. Truly completed on Yom Kippur during the Covid-19 Pandemic, being unable to fast or go to synagogue, this is my atonement.About the Composer: Benjamin Sajo (b. 1988) is a Canadian composer of contemporary classical music, as well as an educator. Since developing a fiercely independent creative voice upon the completion of his studies at Western (2010) and McGill Universities (2013), he continues to find inspiration from the intersection of mythology, art, and nature upon the contemporary human experience. In 2019, he released his premiere album of original music, The Great War Sextet: Canadian War Poetry with Trombone & Strings, with support from the Ontario Arts Council. He is a member of SOCAN and the League of Canadian Composers.

Cello,Piano,Steel Pan,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1095566 Composed by Aaron Gage. 20th Century,Chamber,Contemporary. 38 pages. Aaron Gage #699558. Published by Aaron Gage (A0.1095566). At the time this piece was conceived, the world had fallen into chaos. We were in the midst of a vast economic crisis leaving millions in poverty, racism had once again found its foothold in the foreground of US culture, climate change had decimated the west coast in flames while southern coastal cities were being bombarded with floods from storms. We have also been forced to see the ugliness of domestic terrorists establishing themselves in the hopes of hurting their fellow citizens. However, these issues pale in comparison to the utter devastation we have faced from COVID-19. As I write this note, we are just shy of nearly a quarter of a million people having senselessly died from COVID-19. The utter failure we’ve had in leadership and lack of empathy from our fellow citizens have caused countless families to now have empty seats at their table. There was no need for this. Hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children have died from means that could have been completely preventable. When I was asked to write this piece, I wanted to come up with a simple concept as an elegy to those lost to the virus. A simple question arose; What will we say? 50 years from now, how will we answer to those younger generations while we collectively sat by and did nothing to help each other? How are we going to excuse letting the rot that has sunk in go unpunished? How do we defend the indefensible? This question haunts me. The music you will hear channels my answer to that question. There is no true resolution. There is no happy ending. When we have finally moved on past this pandemic, we are still left in the wake of hundreds of thousands of dead citizens. One day it will hit us all how many lives we really lost. So I ask this; while you listen, reflect on every individual who suffered at the hands that did not act. Allow yourself to absorb the true gravity of what we have experienced. Give those victims a few minutes of your time. When the time comes for you to be asked, what will you say?

Euphonium,Low Brass Quartet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1451869 Composed by Jonathan P. Kochik (ASCAP). Chamber. 29 pages. Jonathan Kochik Music, LLC #1031179. Published by Jonathan Kochik Music, LLC (A0.1451869). Times of change are not always easy to go through in life. Maybe you have become comfortable with the way things are or, perhaps, you are so scared of change that just thinking about it gives you anxiety, but not all change is bad change. If we take a moment to observe the natural occurrences that take place around us every day – sunrises and sunsets, tides coming in and going out, the transformation of winter to spring – we can begin to see that change is a necessary part of growing and developing into who we. However, these moments in your life are not always easy ones. Anew explores the journey of someone experiencing a moment of great change in their life. What sort of emotions are they feeling? What thoughts are going through their head? As someone who has gone through a big shift in my career path, I wanted to compose a piece to help me process my emotions and organize the thoughts in my head on why I felt this change needed to happen. Having the motto “words fail music speaks,” I was inspired as a composer by way of ostinato rhythms, melodic extension, and juxtaposed musical styles to help unpack what words simply could not quantify.

Small Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Saxophone,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.938331 Composed by Dr Anthony Costandius. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 72 pages. Anthony Costandius Music #14899. Published by Anthony Costandius Music (A0.938331). A piece for solo Alto Saxophone and String Orchestra. The church was made a cathedral in 1564 when the city was granted its bishopric. The cathedral was built on the site of the Aljama Mosque in the first third of the 14th century. The name of this structure, El Salvador Cathedral, literally means the Cathedral of the Transfiguration. The cathedral has three portals: the Puerta de las Cardenas (Portal of the Chains, 14th century) is in Islamic style, the Puerta de Loreto (mid-15th century) is Gothic, and Puerta de la Anunciación (Portal of the Annunciation, built in 1588 by Juan Inglés), which has a Renaissance-style triumphal arch-shape. Part 1: Introitis. The saxophone mimics a chant based on the metre of the Introitis: Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant iustum: aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem (Bedew us, heavens, from above; ye clouds, rain down the Just One. Let the earth be opened up, and produce the Saviour. The intervals 1 (tonic), 5 (dominant), 6 (super-dominant) and 4 (subdominant), based on the year 1564 referred to in the section above, are used as the basis for the harmony progression for the string section. Part 2: Puerta de las Cardenas Acts 12:3–19 says that Peter was put into prison by King Herod, but the night before his trial an angel appeared to him, and told him to leave. Peter's chains fell off, and he followed the angel out of prison, thinking it was a vision (verse 9). The prison doors opened of their own accord, and the angel led Peter into the city. The visit from the angel, release from the chains and the prison, as well as the journey into the city is expressed against the background of the Islamic design of the portal, hence the referral to Arabian rhythms and scales in the music. Part 3: Puerta de Loreto The Puerta de Loreto is of gothic design. Loreto refers to the Italian city of Loreto in the province of Ancona. It is said that the holy house where the Mother Mary lived in Nazareth was translated miraculously to Loreto on December 19, 1294 - more than 700 years ago. The house did not go straight to Loreto, but in the year 1291 it was miraculously transported from Nazareth to the town of Tersatto in Dalmatia (Croatia). The local population, filled with astonishment, did not know how to explain its sudden appearance. Their Bishop, who was gravely ill, now appeared in their midst cured. He had prayed to the Virgin Mary that he might be strong enough to see the prodigy for himself, and the Mother of God appeared to him, surrounded by Angels, saying: My son, you have called for me, and here I am. I came to give you succor and to reveal to you the mystery [of the translation of the Holy House] you desire to know. The holy dwelling is the very house where I was born and raised. It was there that I received the good news brought by the Archangel Gabriel and I conceived the Divine Infant by the operation of the Holy Ghost. It was there that the Word was made flesh... For you to bear witness to all that I am telling you now, you will suddenly be cured and return to full health after the long illness you have borne, so that through you all will believe in this miracle. Part 4: Puerta de la Anunciación The Annunciation is the Christian celebration of the announcement by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, the Son of God, marking his Incarnation. Gabriel told Mary to name her son Jesus, meaning Saviour. Part 5: Exit The work ends with a re-interpretation of the first section, the Introitis. This is to bind the work together, but also to again reflect on the text, as stated: Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant iustum: a periatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem, and to comtemplate how that gives meaning to the being, essence and history of the Catedral de Orihuela.
