Mixed Percussion B-Flat Tuba,B-Flat trombone,Baritone Horn TC/Euphonium,Bass Trombone,E-Flat Cornet,E-Flat Tenor Horn,E-Flat Tuba TC,Flugelhorn,Percussion 1,Percussion 2,Tenor Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.746179 By Caro Emerald. By David Schreurs, Jan van Wieringen, and Vincent Degiorgio. Arranged by Michael Pilley. Pop. Brass Band. 49 pages. Michael Pilley Music #3925319. Published by Michael Pilley Music (A0.746179). From the popular Dutch jazz singer comes a catchy tune you won't get out of your heads once you start playing it. Written for Tredegar Town Band for their performance at the Dutch Nationals in 2015, this arrangement features a solo for trombone, but can be played by any soloist in the band. The arrangement follows the original track for a couple of verses, but then breaks into a samba feel to give it some interest. Featuring two mallet percussion parts plus drum kit and aux percussion, this arrangement will certainly bring some sparkle to your concerts.Beautifully laid out, the A4 score and parts are easy to read. We suggest you print on 80gsm paper, to ensure that the copies last longer in your library and make sure that you fit to size if you are printing on letter. Medium Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1116039 Composed by David Warin Solomons. Classical,Singer/Songwriter. 6 pages. David Warin Solomons #717738. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1116039). Poem by Mark Haviland, et to music, with permission, by David W Solomons Tonight when I got your letter I went for a walk in the woods Where a full moon baled by a flume of cloud and glowing ghostly through the trees and glistened on a glimmering stream while the wind as it coasts through the branches hissed like escaping steam. And I sat on the bridge that crosses the stream and settled down to dream a night dream I dreamed of you somewhere in the sun As I sat alone in the moon And I thought of the night when I will set out To bring you home to me To a house that looks onto this scene I thought of the night when I will set out To bring you home to me To a house that looks onto this scene And there where the dark forest path leads down To the dappled moonlit glade Two trees stand silent like watchers all a-grey And in my night-dream I saw you there smiling a smile of the brae.

Woodwind Ensemble Alto Flute,Bass Flute,Piccolo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1071669 By The Moody Blues. By Justin Hayward. Arranged by Diane L. Correa. Folk,Pop,Rock. 13 pages. Diane L. Correa #675354. Published by Diane L. Correa (A0.1071669). #DianaFlutist Are you performing this piece? This is a Flute Ensemble arrangement of the of the Moody Blues classic. In the words of Justin Hayward, (Performing Songwriter Magazine; issue(vol.)13, “Nights in White Satin was about a very romantic set of white satin sheets, about Love, about the end of one big affair and the beginning of another. It was about real things that were happening in my life.†“It sort of had that double meaning, which was intentional, sort of medieval knights as well..†Justin Hayward (Performing Songwriter magazine: issue (vol.)13. This is a flute choir ensemble arrangement of the interpretation of a romantic set of white satin sheets, that has a strong thread of Love weaved in and out throughout the piece if you listen with extra care, wrapped up carefully in unrequited Love. Additional note: In the original album where Nights in White Satin first debuted is a concluding poem written by the group’s drummer Graeme Edge. The poem was called “Late Lament†which gave Nights in White Satin it’s carefully written ornamental completion. The original album was called Days of Future Passed, and the beginning lines of the poem Late Lament goes like this…â€Breathe deep the gathering gloom, Watch lights fade from every room,..please enjoy performing this flute choir ensemble arrangement of Nights in White Satin, it was arranged with Love.

Guitar,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.747044 By Dizzy Gillespie. By Dizzy Gillespie and Frank Paparelli. Arranged by Keith Terrett. Jazz. Score and part. 12 pages. Keith Terrett #5953127. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.747044). A great sounding arrangement of A Night in Tunisia arranged for Guitar (notaion) & Piano, Guitarists will love this! Tab is available on request: keithterrett@gmail.comA jazz solo is written out for you, if you wish you can improvise on the given chord symbols!A Night in Tunisia is a musical composition written by Dizzy Gillespie around 1941–42, while Gillespie was playing with the Benny Carter band. It has become a jazz standard. It is also known as Interlude. Gillespie called the tune Interlude and said some genius decided to call it 'Night in Tunisia'. He said the tune was composed at the piano at Kelly's Stables in New York. He gave Frank Paparelli co-writer credit in compensation for some unrelated transcription work, but Paparelli had nothing to do with the song. A Night in Tunisia was one of the signature pieces of Gillespie's bebop big band, and he also played it with his small groups. In January 2004, The Recording Academy added the 1946 Victor recording by Gillespie to the Grammy Hall of Fame.On the album A Night at Birdland Vol. 1, Art Blakey introduced his 1954 cover version with this statement: At this time we'd like to play a tune [that] was written by the famous Dizzy Gillespie. I feel rather close to this tune because I was right there when he composed it in Texas on the bottom of a garbage can. The audience laughs, but Blakey responds, Seriously. The liner notes say, The Texas department of sanitation can take a low bow.The complex ostinato bass line in the A section is notable for avoiding the standard walking bass pattern of straight quarter notes, and the use of oscillating half-step-up/half-step-down chord changes (using the Sub V, a tritone substitute chord for the dominant chord) gives the song a unique, mysterious feeling. The B section is notable for having an unresolved minor II-V, since the chord progression of the B section is taken from the B section of the standard Alone Together, causing the V chord to lead back into the Sub V of the A section.Like many of Gillespie's tunes, it features a short written introduction and a brief interlude that occurs between solo sections - in this case, a twelve-bar sequence leading into a four-bar break for the next soloist.

Clarinet & string quartet - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMF183 Composed by Samuel Livi…

Clarinet & string quartet - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMF183 Composed by Samuel Livingston. Score and Parts. 88 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMF183. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMF183). 9 x 12 in inches. The clarinet is my instrument, and I think the two greatest works in its repertory (and two of the greatest of all chamber works) are the quintets for clarinet and strings by Mozart and Brahms. In writing for this combination of instruments, I borrowed ideas shamelessly from both.I would describe the style as folk-inspired classical chamber music. The melodies are song-like or dance-like; the harmonies are simple, modal, and consonant. The time signatures of the three movements are 7/8, 5/4, 7/8 - unusual in classical music but common in the folk music of some eastern European countries. The texture is homophonic in some places and contrapuntal in others, always with at least one melody, often with more than one. The clarinet is not treated as a solo instrument but is integrated into the ensemble. The first movement is in sonata form. As in the Mozart and Brahms quintets, it begins in the strings, with the clarinet entering a few bars later on a rising arpeggio. The first theme is song-like; the second theme is dance like. The movement ends quietly on a phrase from the second theme. The form of the second movement begins with a song for the cello, repeated in the clarinet. The next section features a dance-like melody in the second violin, repeated in the clarinet with a descant in the first violin. Then a brief section in the minor, featuring the viola, leads to a repetition of the song that opened the movement, this time in the viola, repeated in the violins and the clarinet. The third movement is a set of variations on a brisk, dance-like theme. After several variations, including two in the minor mode, the tempo slows to adagio for the next-to-last variation (as in the last movement of the Mozart quintet). That variation features a duet for the first violin and the clarinet (as in the slow movement ofthe Brahms quintet). The final variation returns to the brisk tempo and brings back the melodic figure that ends the first movement. A brief coda on this melodic figure concludes the piece.

Published by Moni Bergo (A0.1012752). Music and song composed by meOF LIGHT AND SHADOW (A new year) Lights that shine On these days of mine Shadows that kill My enthusiasm but there is A whole journey that has been written for me Like a novel, its plot will unveil Another year on me And new days to be invented Find out what will happen It's a good reason to fight The light will illuminate me Or there will be new pain Find out what will happen It's a good reason to stay And I always run so strong For fear of falling Maybe this year I will learn How to do walk And I never slow down my pace Back I can not come back Because I would meet myself And inside me I should look I will fill with light and shadow This my eternal emptiness That I can not placate A thousand songs I will invent If there will be someone who will want to listen In connection with the world singing of fairies, magicians, elves, witches and intrigues always uncomfortable in my time looking for a place, a role in this year new I know that nothing will change yet Of light and shadow I will live I steal from the moon her mysteries I will give them to the sun In exchange for the eternal heat in the heart And like a witch burning at the stake I fire, I melt And born again And the alignment of Jupiter in Pluto The lunar eclipse gives me protection I wish the night would go down fast When my pain never finds peace I wish the sun would shine forever In every season, summer and winter A new year here Before me I mess up his days The gray of November With the warmth of September with lights and shadows I will confuse I will steal the sun in June and my Christmas will heat up and the January ice at Easter I will donate I will confuse the night and the day always mistress of my time in that mirror I will look happy with what I will see and new trips and experiences and emotions on the skin I will live with joy and intensity the light and the shadow that will come how many smiles on my lips will form new wrinkles happy with my age it's a nice finish line to be here and how many tears again will come down on my face will be joy or pain of light and shadow I will live It will be a new year of joys and sorrows of light and shadow of cold and heat ... .. Silent Night Prelude for five marimbas

Small Ensemble Marimba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.935384 Arranged by Pharaoh Publications. Christian,Christmas. Score and parts. 21 pages. Pharaoh Publications #5363017. Published by Pharaoh Publications (A0.935384). Silent Night Prelude for five marimbas arr. by Dan Heslink This work is based on the well-loved Christmas carol, composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber. This theme is so popular that it was declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2011. And the version sung by Bing Crosby in 1935 is the fourth best-selling single recording of all-time. It’s sure to motivate your audience close to Christmas. The Prelude begins with a brisk tempo. Although notated in 3, as is customary in more modern renditions (the original theme was notated in 6), the tempo must be fast enough that two measures of 3 create a binary pairing (like 6/4 in two). It may be necessary to slightly slow down the roll speed to avoid a frenetic sound. The difficulty level is easy. There are no changes of key, and keyboard parts require only two mallets each. The expression of this beautiful tune will be greatly enhanced by exaggerating the contrasts of dynamics. Accompaniment and ornamental figures must at all times be sublimated to the familiar theme. At letter D, players should sing the well-known words in order to lead the audience or congregation in group singing. It would be helpful for the conductor to turn and face the audience at this point. This closing passage may be repeated for any number of sung verses. Use a smooth, relaxed stroke to elicit as much legato as possible. At points a continuous arpeggio accompaniment is divided among the instruments. Care must be taken to keep the sixteenth note speed consistent. Prelude on Silent Night would serve equally well in recital or in a church service. Duration is 2:20. A recording of this arrangement scored for percussion octet is available under the listing for Silent Night Prelude for Percussion Octet. The arranger, Dan Heslink, can be contacted at dan@dheslink.com

Brass Ensemble Euphonium - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813984 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 11 pages. Regis Bookshar #6636627. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813984). Euphonium Octet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of Silent Night, or in German, Stille Nacht, would be a wonderful addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts, recitals, and, especially, church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (11 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Silent Night is probably the most popular Christmas carol ever written. It was composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr and was first performed on Christmas Eve at St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a small village in present-day Austria. A young Catholic priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had written the poem, Stille Nacht, in 1816 and had gone to Oberndorf in 1817. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. On Christmas Eve, 1818, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for that night's mass, after river flooding had possibly damaged the church organ. The church was eventually destroyed by repeated flooding and has since been replaced with the Silent-Night-Chapel.According to Gruber, Karl Mauracher, an organ builder who serviced the instrument at the Oberndorf church, was enamored with the song, and took the composition home with him to the Ziller Valley in Tyrol, Austria. From there, two traveling families of folk singers, the Strassers and the Rainers, included the tune in their shows. The Rainers were already singing it around Christmas, 1819, and once performed it for an audience that included Franz I of Austria and Alexander I of Russia. They also gave the first performance of the song in the United States in New York City in 1839. By the 1840's, the song was well known and was reported to be a favorite of Frederick William IV of Prussia. During this period, the melody changed slightly to become the version that is commonly heard today. The version of the melody that is generally used today is a slow, meditative lullaby, or pastoral, differing slightly from Gruber's original which has a moderate tempo. The song has been translated into about 140 languages and has been recorded by many singers across many music genres. The version sung by Bing Crosby in 1935, has sold over 10 million copies as a single. In this arrangement of Silent Night, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic form of this familiar Christmas carol, but has also included a descant during the third verse. Also, in addition to this version for a Euphonium Octet, written in Bass Clef, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. There is also a version for a Euphonium Octet, written in Treble Clef, if you prefer. There are Quintets and Octets readily available for purchase. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Silent Night will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

String Ensemble Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813995 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 12 pages. Regis Bookshar #6636653. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813995). String Octet - Intermediate - Digital Download. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (12 pages). Also, in addition to this version for a String Octet, consisting of 3 Violins, 2 Violas and 3 Violoncellos, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles.
