It is an odd form in that it does not contain any departure from the central idea; therefore there is no return. The story has a beginning and ending but uses subtle variation to push the idea along its way. .. much the way loving relationships evolve. The equivalent of the story song in classical music is a Poem, and this is what I have called this piece. An inspiration I used for my musical poem was the ocean and itâ€™s repetition of waves as they fall in to the shoreline. I grew up near the ocean and remember how the sounds of the relentless waves used tocalm me. While it was the repetitive sound of the sea that moved me as a child, today, I observed that each wave was not the same but in fact slightly different. I was amazed that it seemed that no two waves looked or sounded the same to me. This natural occurrence seemed to mirror my love for wife Carla. Each day was just something a tiny bit different. It was very natural to make these kinds of life experience connections. Bridges that joined nature, love and art. The poem begins slowly and inquisitively and builds through in intensity with loud and mightily passionate moments of emotion before the music comes down peacefully and reflectively, until the last statement played by the violin signifies that the sea is calm once again. Published by Petey C. (A0.873898). This is an edit for trombone of an arrangement I made for horn quartet, with a couple tiny changes. Geared toward university students and professionals. May be a bit difficult for beginners and even intermediate players. The key has been altered to make it in a slightly more comfortable range for trombone, although it maybe sits a bit high in the melodic parts and a bit low in the bassline at times. Melody and bassline get switched around a lot between parts. Makes it more fun and interesting, but requires some skill in all ranges by all players. Doesn't go below a low E, so you should be able to play without a trigger, but I've been told it can get squirrelly down there without one for some players, so... yeah.I had some consultation with a couple trombone player friends about how to best adapt my horn quartets to trombone, but I'm not a trombone player, I'm a horn player, so if you purchase this and notice any errors (notational, range, clef, etc.) that could be pretty easily fixed, let me know! Guitar 4 is supplied in both treble and bass clefs to suit classical guitar, contra or bass guitar. Itâ€™s been performed in the past by Hampshire Guitar Orchestra, so this is a well-proven arrangement that has featured in dozens of concerts, and is arranged to produce a big sound without a big effort!
