Bassoon,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1488743 Composed by Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 19th Century,Romantic Period. 20 pages. RayThompsonMusic #1065594. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1488743). The two Serenades, Op. 11 and 16, represent early efforts by Johannes Brahms to write orchestral music. They both date from after the 1856 death of Robert Schumann when Brahms was residing in Detmold and had access to an orchestra.Brahms had a goal of reaching Ludwig van Beethoven's level in writing symphonies, and worked long and hard on his first symphony, completing it only in 1876 when he was 43 years old. As preliminary steps in composing for orchestra, he chose early on to write some lighter orchestral pieces, these Serenades. The second serenade was first sent to Clara Schumann, who was delighted by it. It was written in 1859 and dedicated to her.The first public performance, reportedly for full orchestra (version lost?), was in Hamburg on 10 February 1860.Brahms himself reworked the piece for piano 4 hands in 1875.The same year he revisited the orchestral version, this time for a small chamber orchestra. The new scoring was for :piccolo,2 flutes,2 oboes,2 clarinets (in A for movements I, IV, V; in C for movement II; and in B flat for movement III),2 bassoons, 2 horns, violas, cellos, and double basses.(omitting violins, brass, and percussion)The five movements take approximately thirty minutes to perform.Allegro moderato (A major)Scherzo. Vivace (C major) – Trio (F major) (This arrangement)Adagio non troppo (A minor, ends in A major with a Picardy third)Quasi menuetto (D major) – Trio (F♯ minor)Rondo. Allegro (A major)Arranged wind dectet/decet/double wind quintet and bass.Horns in C basso ( as in original) but alternative Horn in F parts provided. My clarinet parts are for Bb clarinets.

Large Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1082372 Composed by Franz Schubert / Ray Thompson. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 106 pages. RayThompsonMusic #686525. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1082372). Written for wind octet :2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns and 2 bassoons. Composed in 1813, and publised in 1889, Schubert's wind octet D72 is incomplete. The minuet and trio, and finale exist, along with a fragment of 100 bars of the first movement. The 2nd slow movement (if there was one) is missing. This is my 4 movement octet: 1.Allegro (finished by me from the “fragmentâ€) 2. Allegretto (from Rosamunde string quartet†3. Menuetto and 2 Trios (original) 4. Allegro (original) Mvt.1.The fragment seems to show the end of the development, flowing into the recapitulation. I have now completed the first movment, with the expostion starting in F, and 2nd theme moduating into the Dominant C major. An optional repeat has been added, the 2nd time bar has a diminshed 7th chord I have created a new deveopment section in D minor, using themes from the fragment , which then leads into the start of the fragment., which leads to the recapitualtion. This has both themes in F and brings the movement to an end The new movement is 232 bars long. I have made some light tweaks to Schubert's original work. My new 1st mvt. lasts 5 mins 2 seconds without my repeat. (About 7 mins 20 secs with) Check out my other arrangements for wind quartet, wind quintet and wind dectet Mvt.2 is an arrangement of the slow movement of the “Rosamunde†string quartet. I have transposed this into Bb. (NATURAL HORN PARTS in Bb basso)(Hn in F provided) Mvts 3/4 are Schubert’s originals, but the clarinet parts are in Bb, rather than C. The mp3 is of the 1st movement.

An arrangement for brass band of the last movement of symphony number 1.Beethoven's 1st symphony established Beethoven’s reputation as a major orchestral composer in Vienna. The symphony is dedicated to Baron Gottfried van Swieten, an early patron of the composer. This movement opens with an introduction consisting only of scale fragments played slowly by the first violins alone(here transcribed for the solo cornet) beginning on F and gradually adding more notes. After finally reaching an Eb, the real start of the finale Allegro molto e vivace begins.

Arranged double wind quintet Dvořák initially wrote the Suite in A major for piano, Op. 98, B. 184, in New York between February 19 and March 1, 1894.[1] He orchestrated it in two parts more than a year after his return to the United States and immediately before his departure for Europe. The piano version was performed soon after its composition, but the orchestral version waited some years. The orchestral version of the American Suite was first played in concert in 1910 and not published until 1911, seven years after Dvořák's death in 1904. SCORE @ Amazon ï¼?https://amzn.to/34qCMdz The Symphonic Concert No.2, is Huangâ??s second serial symphonic work in a large form. ----- The first part, Op.47a, is The Symphonic Overture No. 2, the second part, Op.47b, is the Violin Concerto in B in three movements. They are all published by Amazon. And the third part, Op.47c, is this Symphony in A flat major 'Phoenix' in 5 movements [62 minutes] The first two parts of the Symphonic Concert No.2 were premiered in Beijing by the China Youth Symphony Orchestra in 1997. However, the composing of the third part has been delayed. The reason is the author's Chinese heart: for thousands of years, the word deep disaster has been following this nation, but, however, the Chinese finally rise in the east of the world from the deadly dark. How can the composer present this symphony in the most appropriate form, and bring blessings to the world? Until the idea of Phoenix sigh inspired the author's rolling music. As a result, the structure of the entire symphony is: a total of five movements, the order is: 1.-ESSENCE ç²¾ Andante con molto 2.-SPIRIT æ°? Allegro assai 3.-DIVINITY ç¥? Larghetto 4.-PEACE å?? Vivo 5.-REVIVAL è?¾é£? Allegro assai con brio The fifth movement of this symphony, Revival, is the end of the entire Symphonic Concert No. 2. Its Phoenixâ??s Flame of Fire symbolizes the composer's powerful belief in the whole composition: Defeat death to obtain the eternal life. This point has a distinct manifestation in this final movement: from the beginning of the world turmoil to the evolution of the huge contrast of the brilliant chorus of the Phoenix; from the disaster making the Phoenix smashes into the fire of hell from the high heaven; its shocking description of self-immolation to the sound of the resurrection and the vitality of the folk instruments which simulate the voice of life from afar; and from the brilliant fire of the phoenix soars to the sky with roar of the organ at the end. The themes of all of the previous music are also interrelated. All of the players join the forces to create the powerful music that The Chinese symphony has never been sounded like this before, and it is all about achieving a brilliant future, the critic said in Peopleâ??s Music, the major music magazine in China, 2009.

Small Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Trumpet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - SKU: A0.813613 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 10 pages. Regis Bookshar #6431449. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813613). String Quintet with a Trumpet Solo - Advanced/Intermediate - . This arrangement of the Allegro movement from Henry Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services. It is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. This selection is one of the arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library, many of which are being made available for the first time. They have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The original composition was written in D Major but Regis Bookshar has transposed it to Bb Major, making it a little easier for many modern musicians. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (10 pages). The 17th century composer, Henry Purcell, is generally considered to be one of the greatest English composers of his generation. His Sonata for Trumpet and Strings in D Major, composed in 1694, was probably written for the London Theatre, where a fine tradition of trumpet playing had developed. Purcell almost certainly had in mind either John Shore or his brother, William, the most renowned trumpet players in England at the time. The trumpets of the time were normally tuned in D and there were no valves on the Baroque trumpets, so they were limited in the number of notes that they could play. The term Sonata here probably means no more than a piece of incidental music and looks forward to the style that would become the solo concerto where soloist and strings are pitted against each other but also looks back to an older type of instrumental music which emphasized equality between members of the ensemble. The music is in three movements and looks forward to the fast-slow-fast plan popularized by Vivaldi's concertos. Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists, besides trumpet players, could also have the opportunity to play the Allegro movement from Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet, so he has created other arrangements of this selection. However, this particular arrangement does feature a Trumpet Solo and has been arranged for a String Quintet, consisting of 2 Violins, 1 Viola, 1 Violoncello and 1 Double Bass and features the Trumpet on the melody, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this piece. You may find something else that may suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check back periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Purcell's Allegro from his Sonata for Trumpet will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Included are a score and a complete set of parts (13 pages). However, this particular arrangement does feature a Trumpet Solo and has been arranged for a String Septet, consisting of 2 Violins, 2 Violas, 2 Violoncellos and 1 Double Bass and features the Trumpet on the melody, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles.

Brass Ensemble Euphonium - Level 4 - SKU: A0.813584 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 8 pages. Regis Bookshar #6429791. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813584). Euphonium Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - . Included are a score and a complete set of parts (8 pages). This particular arrangement is for a Euphonium Quintet, consisting of 5 Euphoniums, reading in Bass Clef, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles, including a version for 5 Euphoniums reading in Treble Clef, if you prefer.
