Baritone Horn TC,Bass Trombone,Cornet,Euphonium,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1132852 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. Chamber,Classical,Film/TV,March,Patriotic. 33 pages. RBMusic #733052. Published by RBMusic (A0.1132852). The third movement of the Piano Sonata No. 12 in A-flat Major, Op.26, Beethoven’s “Funeral March No. 2†is played at state funerals in the UK, including the funerals of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The subtitle of this movement (“Marcia Funebre, sulla morte d'un Eroeâ€) translates to “Funeral March, relating to the death of a heroâ€, and was orchestrated by Beethoven for the incidental music to Johann Duncker's play “Leonore Prohaska†(WoO 96). This was one of the pieces played during the procession at Beethoven’s funeral in 1827. This arrangement includes alternative parts for tenor horn, treble-clef euphonium and tuba. The key has also been changed from the original to suit the ensemble better. A recording by a military band can be found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYafNKfRKRY. Other searchable terms: Beethoven, Ludwig van Beethoven, Funeral March No.2, Funeral March No 2, Funeral March No2, Funeral March Number 2, Funeral March Number Two, Queen, Queen Elizabeth the Second

Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven for Clarinet Ensemble
Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.11…

Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1147369 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Christmas,Classical,Instructional,March,Romantic Period. 15 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #747573. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1147369). This arrangement adapted for clarinet ensemble was designed to make its listeners weep with emotion, because the adaptation preserves the original essence of the work, keeping its integrity faithful to what Beethoven wanted to transmit, with only a slight change in tone and addition of harmonic resources in the structure of the arrangement. Even though it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion, being intended for beginner students who want to immerse themselves in the universe of romantic music, and nothing better than starting with the transitional composer of this period, which also does not prevent professional teachers from using it for recitals, academic presentations or didactic material in their classes as an ensemble practice. Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor sharp, Op. 27, No. 2, is one of his most popular compositions and was an audience favorite even in his day. Written when Beethoven was 31, the Moonlight Sonata (Mondscheinsonate in German) was composed after he finished some commissioned works, but there is no evidence that he was hired to write this work. It did not receive its nickname until 1832, five years after Beethoven's death. It was the critic Ludwig Rellstab who compared the music to a moonlighting on Lake Lucerne. This comparison was adopted as a nickname for the work. Called Quasi una fantasia by the author - like its companion Op. 27, No. 1 - the piece was completed in 1801 and dedicated the following year to one of the composer's pupils. Beethoven chose to open the sonata with a slow, hypnotic arpeggio movement, the best known of the entire work. The dotted rhythm of its minimal melody evokes the tradition of 'Trauermusik' (funeral music).

String Quintet Viola - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167870 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Christmas,Classical,Instructional,March,Romantic Period. 16 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #768222. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1167870). This arrangement adapted for viola quintet was designed to make its listeners weep with emotion, because the adaptation preserves the original essence of the work, keeping its integrity faithful to what Beethoven wanted to transmit, with only a slight change in tone and addition of harmonic resources in the structure of the arrangement. Even though it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion, being intended for beginner students who want to immerse themselves in the universe of romantic music, and nothing better than starting with the transitional composer of this period, which also does not prevent professional teachers from using it for recitals, academic presentations or didactic material in their classes as an ensemble practice.Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.

2 flutes of the Same Kind - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.7.0663-E Composed by Stanley M. Hoffman. Score. 6 pages. Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital #7.0663-E. Published by Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital (MQ.7.0663-E). This work, first scored for piano solo, was composed for the 2008 Sejong Music Composition Competition. Although it did not win a prize, having entered the competition left me with a neat little piano piece to show for it, as well as the present transcription which I created for flutist Peter Sheridan in 2015. The set of variations opens with the traditional Korean theme accompanied by arpeggios. This is followed by Variation 1, a sad waltz in the style of a Chopin waltz. Next comes Variation 2, a funeral march in the manner of Chopin’s Funeral March from the Piano Sonata in B-flat Minor, Op. 35. Variation 3 is a Tango written in tribute to one of my favorite composers, Astor Piazzolla. Variation 4 combined the Korean tune with motifs from the slow movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, The Pastoral. The set of variations closes with a repeat of the opening passage. -Stanley M. Hoffman.
