Choral Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - SKU: A0.730418 Composed by James Nathaniel Holland. Children,Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday. Score. 150 pages. James Nathaniel Holland #3376293. Published by James Nathaniel Holland (A0.730418). The Piano Vocal Score (with SA Chorus) New Contemporary Classical Music from American Costa Rican composer James Nathaniel Holland in his masterful ballet adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, The Snow Queen. Ballet yet to be premiered. Be the first to produce it! Highlights are The Dance of the Evil Snow Sprite and the Distorted Mirror, Innocence and Kai and Gerde's Special Friendship, The Waltz of the Roses ('Think of my love as a Rose'), The Waltz of the Snowflakes (Snowbees), Gerde Morns Kai's Death, The Suite of the Lady of Spring (Tale of the Tiger Lillies, The Dream of the Morning Glories, The Tale of the Snowdrops, the Hyacinth's Tale), The Waltz of the Summer Palace, Dance of the Thieves and Kai's Joyous Dance Finale. Ballet Synopsis: Evil Snow Sprites make a mirror that reflects all that is mean and evil. When it shatters, its splinters drift to the far corners of the world. Gerde and Kai are two poor children who live in Copenhagen in the early 19th Century. They live innocently with their parents and Grandmother and tend a rooftop rose garden. One winter night Kai meets the Snow Queen and a splinter from the mirror enters his eye. The Snow Queen returns and abducts Kai. Although accepted as dead, Gerde deeply feels otherwise and begins her quest to find her friend, traveling through the four seasons, sometimes beautiful and sometimes frightening. The Lady of Spring takes her as an addition to her fantastical garden filled with tales and dreams of the flowers who dwell there. But when Gerde sees the rose on Spring's bonnet she wakes from her enchantment. Her tears spring back the roses who tell her Kai is not dead. She flees from the garden. Gerde grows up in the wilderness and a crow says that he has seen Kai at the Palace of the Queen of Summer. They hurry there to find a magnificent ball in progress. Gerde is introduced to the Kai lookalike but knows something is not right. The Queen of Summer helps Gerde on her way and lends her a coach and gives her a magic red rose that will never fade.As coach searches for Kai, it enters the season of Autumn and is accosted by robber girl and a band of theives. They dance in an rousing, energetic dance taunting her. When the morning comes Gerde tells her fellow captive animals of her quest to find Kai and that all hope is lost. The pigeons finally tell Gerde that Kai was abducted by the Snow Queen many years ago. The robber girl overhears them and has a change of heart letting her go with her reindeer to the far North of the Snow Queen.Gerde finds Kai in the palace of the Snow Queen piecing together the evil mirror. She gives Kai up for dead but leaves the rose of summer beside him. Kai spots the rose and he sheds a tear. The splinter falls out and he completes the mirror. They head back for home to their families were there is a big finale of a beautiful wedding on a late summer day and live happily ever after.YouTube Complete Ballet presentation: https://youtu.be/-zDAJ-Ttw70Composer website: http://lacoronadelossantos.net/jamesnathanielholland.htmlTwo part performance CDs sold separately. Choral Choir,Choral (3-Part Mixed) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1400023 By The Ray Charles Singers. By Carlos A. Martinoli, Carlos Rigual, and Sunny Skylar. Arranged by Stewart J Wallace. Country,Folk,Latin,Pop,Wedding. 22 pages. Stewart J Wallace #983251. Published by Stewart J Wallace (A0.1400023). In its Spanish title this song is (almost) guaranteed to make the sun shine - it means when the sun heats up! It's a popular Spanish song with music by Nicaraguan songwriter and bandleader Rafael Gaston Perez, with lyrics by Carlos and Mario Rigual and an English version (not a translation) by Sunny Skylar. Los Hermanos Rigaul recorded the song and it become a number 1 hit in Italy for 4 weeks. The 12/8 time signature gives the song a lilting quality and the repeated notes drive home the passion of the lyrics. In this arrangement, the Spanish words can be sung on the repeated or used throughout the song, and there are some extra harmony notes in the 3rd voice in the final verse to give the sound more weight.

Small Ensemble Guitar,Low Voice,Medium Voice - Level 3 - SKU: A0.576694 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. Classical,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 7 pages. David Warin Solomons #73693. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576694). Schubert's setting of words from Goethe's Wilhelm Meister (with my singing translation in English) arranged in the key of E minor for low voice and guitar In some places the guitar part is simplified in comparison to the original piano part in order to improve the flowing quality and to make it possible for one person to accompany herself/himself on the guitar. A version for voice and piano, also in E minor, is also available The sound sample is an electronic preview. The three individual songs (Wer sich der Einsamkeit ergibt, Wer nie sein Brot ass, An die Türen) and also all three together (under the title Gesänge des Harfners (songs of the harpist) ) are available on this site The pdf file contains the score and also the separate parts. Who gives himself to solitude Will soon find he's alone each of us lives each of us loves and leaves him to his pain. Yes leave this anguished soul and if I can just once find solitude Then I am not alone. A lover comes and listens soft to see if she is alone and so it is by day and night that pain creeps up on me that anguish comes to me Oh only in the grave will I find solitude Then she will leave me be (English translation (c) 2015 David Warin Solomons) If you would like a downloadable mp3 of the guitar accompaniment, you can use this reference in the search box on sheetmusicplus: S0.707281

Published by Linda Scholes Music (A0.800956). The well-known hymn tune, BEACH SPRING, is arranged by Linda Scholes for a 12-handbell ensemble. The Appalachian feel will delight your audience and adds a bright, pleasing touch to the arrangement. It is a 3-octave piece, is rated early intermediate in difficulty level, and is approximately 2 minutes long, making it a perfect choice to put together easily with a fewer number of ringers. The piece will be able to fill many different portions within a church service, as a prelude, offertory, or special music and will also make a nice concert selection for a smaller ensemble. This is a reproducible arrangement. The purchaser is given permission to make up to a total of 7 copies for one bell choir only and may use the piece for livestream purposes.

Large Ensemble B-Flat Trumpet,Drum Set,E-Flat Alto Saxophone,E-Flat Baritone Saxophone,Piano,Tenor Saxophone,Trombone,Tuba - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1112027 By Avicii. By Aloe Blacc, Avicii, and Michael Einziger. Arranged by Steve Davison. Contemporary,Pop. Score and parts. 22 pages. Troupe Publishing #714195. Published by Troupe Publishing (A0.1112027). Written for a 'mini brass band', this arrangement throws an oompah twist on the Avicii dance hit. Wake Me Up starts with the brass playing the rhythmic opening, before the trombone takes the melody lead. As the drums enter, the trumpets take the melody. The ensemble builds through the introduction of the famous synth line and into the first chorus. A second verse and double chorus give the band time to get the crowd dancing up a storm! This arrangement is suitable for a confident and well-rounded school or community ensemble with a lead trumpet player capable of a high D. It includes an optional keys part for stage performances, and where you feel adding rhythm section players could bolster your ensemble. Wake Me Up works equally well with an acoustic New Orleans-style brass band ensemble on the street, or with production support on the stage.

Stuart Brown Music #782621. Published by Stuart Brown Music (A0.1182872). The accompanying score and a choral bundle are also available from this website. The composer writes: 'On That Cross' is a powerful reflection on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I came up with the lyrics at around 3am in the morning of 3rd December 2014 sitting at a desk in room 703 of the De Syloia Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. Often I find that my periods of working abroad give me the space to think of things in new ways. This song is a good example of that. One look at the first page of the score of 'On That Cross' is all you need to realize that this is not a case of a choir singing with a piano accompaniment. I put the piano part above the choir in order to dispel that misconception. So if it's not that, what is it? I wanted to demonstrate that it is possible to approach a subject from two completely different points of view, without either point of view being compromised by the other, and yet the result can nevertheless be a beautiful synergy. That is what the pianist and the choir are doing here. Each is meditating upon the cross of Christ, but from two totally unrelated points of view and yet somehow combining in a way that is almost hypnotically beautifully. There is little obvious relationship between the choir's and the piano's music; and yet each is reconciled to the other ... and there's a very good reason why I wanted the music to speak of such reconciliation. In late 2014 people in Iraq were being beheaded, crucified and generally killed in the most brutal and sadistic manner possible. Their only ‘crime’ was to dare to call themselves Christians. You can say what you like but in my book nobody has the right to tell anybody else what they should believe, much less murder them on religious grounds. The thing that incensed me almost to the point of incandescence was that the perpetrators of this unspeakable evil dared to justify their actions by claiming that they were acting on behalf of their god. So in such frame of mind I started to write the lyrics to 'On That Cross'.The first words that came into my mind were “Oh men who dare to call on gods to justify your hatred – of this be sure …†and I wanted to follow that with threats of eternal damnation, torture in hellfire and so on. Except that the words that flowed out of my fingers onto my computer screen were not like that at all. “Of this be sure – I love you still, my cross your salvation from all the sin of man.â€It doesn’t get much more powerful than that. I may be incapable of loving the people of ISIS, ISIL, DAESH or whatever one calls them, but my God isn’t. He created them, he sent his Son to die for them … and he is even now ready to save them, as he is you and me. That’s grace.A small group of us sang this at a Good Friday united service in 2016. We sang it unannounced, at the end of the service, when one would have expected people to start getting up from their seats and leaving the church. Nobody did. Not one single person moved while we sang..

Choral Choir,Choral - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1182870 By Stuart Richard Brown. By Stuart Richard Brown. Arranged by Stuart Richard Brown. Christian,Easter,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. 14 pages. Stuart Brown Music #782619. Published by Stuart Brown Music (A0.1182870). Instructional. Score and parts. 129 pages. Dots and Beams #5313613. Published by Dots and Beams (A0.931837). This book provides its user with a series of notes on a treble staff with no rhythm values and no meter. Chapters are organized by the placement of the notes relative to the staff; on the staff, above the staff, below the staff, on and above the staff, and on and below the staff. For each pitch range there is one chapter with no accidentals and one chapter with accidentals. All exercises have a space at the beginning of each staff to write in a key signature, allowing each exercise to be read in all keys and used in many ways. The aim with this book is to allow the user to focus specifically on exercises centred around pitch without the distraction of rhythmic values or time signatures. This can begin with the practice of sight-reading but can expand to include many other learning goals. The diatonic sets contain notes with no accidentals or key signature. These collections can be read as written, using only natural notes, or in any of the 15 key signatures from 7 flats to 7 sharps. Chromatic collections include sharp and flat notes as well as natural ones. The later exercises in these chapters increase the difficulty by including B#, Cb, E#, and Fb. Ledger line chapters start with the first ledger line and gradually expand away from the staff. Exercises above the staff reach up to the space above the fifth ledger line while exercises below reach down to the space below the third. The random nature of the notes in these exercises is intentional; it forces the user to pay attention to each note and makes the exercises very difficult to memorize, ensuring that they will still present a challenge even after multiple readings. It’s important when sight-reading to cycle through the exercises quickly rather than dwelling on a single exercise for a long time. This will ensure that you’re strengthening your ability to read the notes rather than just memorizing the exercises. Some suggestions for how to use this book include: Gain comfort reading the notes and finding them on your instrument in no particular rhythm or tempo. A greater challenge can be achieved by playing them at a steady tempo or by playing them in a simple rhythmic pattern. Beginner students can begin by writing in the note names. Play each exercise in all 15 key signatures. Advanced theory students and improvising musicians can also use these exercises to practice identifying scale degrees in various keys or playing chords built on every scale degree in the chosen key. Develop comfort with chords by playing a chord built on each note in the exercise. For example: for each note in the exercise, play the major chord with that root. Increase the difficulty with different chord qualities or different chord tones, for example: for every note, play the minor 7th chord in which the given note is the 3rd. Practice transposing into different keys. This is an especially useful challenge for people who play transposing instruments such as brass and woodwind instruments. Chapters with wide ranges can present a great exercise for musicians who play instruments where large leaps are a challenge. People who play strings, mallet percussion, piano, woodwinds, and brass would be among those who would benefit from practising these awkward leaps and falls. As with any of the Dots and Beams books, the uses for this particular collection are limited only by the imagination of the musician using it. I highly encourage anybody using this book to find as many uses for it as possible. My hope is that as you grow as a musician you will find ever more creative and challenging ways to use these materials so that you can return to these books for years.

Large Ensemble Choir - Level 3 - SKU: A0.747194 Composed by Christopher R. Brown. Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 92 pages. Christopher Brown #4601913. Published by Christopher Brown (A0.747194). About the song: This anthem begins by compelling the listener and the performer to consider the parable of the hidden treasure and the pearl. The second verse reflects on David's superlative description of God's Word in Ps. 19. In his letter to the Philippians, Paul speaks of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ when compared to everything else in this life. The lyrics of this song are intended to echo these Truths, encourage the believer, and testify to the incomparable gift of entering into the Kingdom of God, understanding His Word, and being strengthened and set free to do the good works that He prepared in advance for us to do.Can be performed with piano accompaniment only, OR with additional band members (rhythm chart included), OR with full orchestra. Please Note:You can purchase individual copies of the choral score separately on Sheet Music Plus. Small Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Saxophone,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - SKU: A0.938331 Composed by Dr Anthony Costandius. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 72 pages. Anthony Costandius Music #14899. Published by Anthony Costandius Music (A0.938331). A piece for solo Alto Saxophone and String Orchestra. The church was made a cathedral in 1564 when the city was granted its bishopric. The cathedral was built on the site of the Aljama Mosque in the first third of the 14th century. The name of this structure, El Salvador Cathedral, literally means the Cathedral of the Transfiguration. The cathedral has three portals: the Puerta de las Cardenas (Portal of the Chains, 14th century) is in Islamic style, the Puerta de Loreto (mid-15th century) is Gothic, and Puerta de la Anunciación (Portal of the Annunciation, built in 1588 by Juan Inglés), which has a Renaissance-style triumphal arch-shape. Part 1: Introitis. The saxophone mimics a chant based on the metre of the Introitis: Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant iustum: aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem (Bedew us, heavens, from above; ye clouds, rain down the Just One. Let the earth be opened up, and produce the Saviour. The intervals 1 (tonic), 5 (dominant), 6 (super-dominant) and 4 (subdominant), based on the year 1564 referred to in the section above, are used as the basis for the harmony progression for the string section. Part 2: Puerta de las Cardenas Acts 12:3–19 says that Peter was put into prison by King Herod, but the night before his trial an angel appeared to him, and told him to leave. Peter's chains fell off, and he followed the angel out of prison, thinking it was a vision (verse 9). The prison doors opened of their own accord, and the angel led Peter into the city. The visit from the angel, release from the chains and the prison, as well as the journey into the city is expressed against the background of the Islamic design of the portal, hence the referral to Arabian rhythms and scales in the music. Part 3: Puerta de Loreto The Puerta de Loreto is of gothic design. Loreto refers to the Italian city of Loreto in the province of Ancona. It is said that the holy house where the Mother Mary lived in Nazareth was translated miraculously to Loreto on December 19, 1294 - more than 700 years ago. The house did not go straight to Loreto, but in the year 1291 it was miraculously transported from Nazareth to the town of Tersatto in Dalmatia (Croatia). The local population, filled with astonishment, did not know how to explain its sudden appearance. Their Bishop, who was gravely ill, now appeared in their midst cured. He had prayed to the Virgin Mary that he might be strong enough to see the prodigy for himself, and the Mother of God appeared to him, surrounded by Angels, saying: My son, you have called for me, and here I am. I came to give you succor and to reveal to you the mystery [of the translation of the Holy House] you desire to know. The holy dwelling is the very house where I was born and raised. It was there that I received the good news brought by the Archangel Gabriel and I conceived the Divine Infant by the operation of the Holy Ghost. It was there that the Word was made flesh... For you to bear witness to all that I am telling you now, you will suddenly be cured and return to full health after the long illness you have borne, so that through you all will believe in this miracle. Part 4: Puerta de la Anunciación The Annunciation is the Christian celebration of the announcement by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, the Son of God, marking his Incarnation. Gabriel told Mary to name her son Jesus, meaning Saviour. Part 5: Exit The work ends with a re-interpretation of the first section, the Introitis. This is to bind the work together, but also to again reflect on the text, as stated: Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant iustum: a periatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem, and to comtemplate how that gives meaning to the being, essence and history of the Catedral de Orihuela.

Cello,Piano,Steel Pan,Violin - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1095566 Composed by Aaron Gage. 20th Century,Chamber,Contemporary. 38 pages. Aaron Gage #699558. Published by Aaron Gage (A0.1095566). At the time this piece was conceived, the world had fallen into chaos. We were in the midst of a vast economic crisis leaving millions in poverty, racism had once again found its foothold in the foreground of US culture, climate change had decimated the west coast in flames while southern coastal cities were being bombarded with floods from storms. We have also been forced to see the ugliness of domestic terrorists establishing themselves in the hopes of hurting their fellow citizens. However, these issues pale in comparison to the utter devastation we have faced from COVID-19. As I write this note, we are just shy of nearly a quarter of a million people having senselessly died from COVID-19. The utter failure we’ve had in leadership and lack of empathy from our fellow citizens have caused countless families to now have empty seats at their table. There was no need for this. Hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children have died from means that could have been completely preventable. When I was asked to write this piece, I wanted to come up with a simple concept as an elegy to those lost to the virus. A simple question arose; What will we say? 50 years from now, how will we answer to those younger generations while we collectively sat by and did nothing to help each other? How are we going to excuse letting the rot that has sunk in go unpunished? How do we defend the indefensible? This question haunts me. The music you will hear channels my answer to that question. There is no true resolution. There is no happy ending. When we have finally moved on past this pandemic, we are still left in the wake of hundreds of thousands of dead citizens. One day it will hit us all how many lives we really lost. So I ask this; while you listen, reflect on every individual who suffered at the hands that did not act. Allow yourself to absorb the true gravity of what we have experienced. Give those victims a few minutes of your time. When the time comes for you to be asked, what will you say?

A text piece for one or more speakers with optional rhythmic percussion accompaniment performed ad libitum.Where the text is presented in bold the speakers should speak loudly, giving particular emphasis to text in capital letters. Where the text is presented in non-bold smaller text styles the speakers should speak less loudly or softer. The speakers should vary the pitch of their voice throughout to give emphasis to the structure and to avoid a monotonous tonal delivery. The repeated ‘words’ instinctively suggest a repetitive rhythmic style of delivery - this is fine. The spaces in the text can be interpreted as rests. If there is more than one speaker the performers may either speak in unison throughout or stagger their entries and echo or overlap freely, but without losing the sense of the overall structure of the text. Multiple speakers may also devise co-ordination points within the piece to co-ordinate collective unisons - then drift apart and overlap again. A single speaker could also perform with an echoing sound effect that gives the impression of multiple voices. If performing with percussion, then a pulsed rhythmic style should be used. The percussion may be freely chosen - drum kit, ‘found’ instruments, body percussion, pre-recorded backing track etc. - performing in any rhythmic style, but not detracting from or obscuring the vocal delivery. Programme note: ‘Wha-Do-Ya-Mean?’ was composed in 2008. It was tested as a warm-up exercise for the CoMA London Ensemble, and then developed into a piece, first performed by Paul Burnell at Battersea Arts Centre, London in October 2008 and then included on the 2010 album ‘Sticking with Childish Things’. It has subsequently been performed by CoMA Singers. The inspiration for the piece was derived from an increasingly fractious and reductive argument between two people, where one person was overheard saying What do you mean ‘what do you mean’? This statement illustrated the pointlessness of the argument, and how comically ridiculous and meaningless it had become, and effectively ended it.

Published by Amphibia Cultural Legacy (A0.1165825). The Day After Your Birthday is a fun and catchy tune that has been remixed with additional instruments by Amphibia Cultural Legacy. Originally written by Parry Gripp, this new version of the song gives it a fresh and exciting feel. The added instruments create a more dynamic sound, with listeners tapping their feet and singing.Parry Gripp's original song version was already enjoyable, but the remix takes it to a whole new level. Different instruments, such as drums, guitars, and keyboards, add depth to the melody and give it more energy. The lyrics remain as fun as before, describing waking up after one's birthday party and feeling like they're still celebrating.Overall, Amphibia Cultural Legacy has done an excellent job remixing this track. They have maintained their original charm while adding their unique touch.
