Poor Max! (for mezzo-soprano/alto voice and piano) (Folk/Rock)

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Medium Voice,Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.841273 Composed by Chris Gordon. Arranged by Chris Gordon. Folk,Rock. Score and parts. 10 pages. Cool Wind Music Digital #3220995. Published by Cool Wind Music Digital (A0.841273). This is a folk/rock ballad with a twist as the 'story' it tells comes straight out of a novel by German author Günter Grass', Local Anaesthetic (1969). Phillipp (Flip) Scherbaum, a 17-year old Berlin high school student, wants to do something, anything to protest what he has been reading in newspapers has been happening to the people of Vietnam. (Remember this is 1967!) He comes up with an idea: he has a little Dachshund puppy called Max. Flip decides to burn Max right outside the most famous café in Berlin, Kempinski's (it is still there), to shock complacent Berliners into paying attention to what is happening in Vietnam. His history teacher, Eberhard (Hardy) Starusch, agrees to Flip's protest idea but draws the line firmly against killing an innocent animal. Hardy sets out to dissuade his student from carrying out this doggiecide. Instead, he resolves to steer Flip to less harmful ways of protesting. The effort drives Hardy to a lot of hard thinking and hard drinking and a lot of trips to the dentist!Poor Max is a realisation of one of Hardy's suggestions to Flip: to write and perform a protest song outside Kempinski's - and elsewhere in Berlin, too. You will not be surprised to hear that head-strong Flip rejects this suggestion but I have taken up Hardy's idea and written my own protest song for Flip. The words and the music are my own: I have not borrowed either from anyone else (except for one little phrase which I discovered I had unconsciously borrowed from Robert Schumann)!

Folk Songs for 13-note Bells and Boomwhackers® (with Color Coded Notes), VOL. 2
Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,…

Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,Voice,Xylophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565435 By Sharon Wilson. By Traditional. Arranged by Sharon Wilson Music. Children,Folk,Instructional,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Score and parts. 177 pages. Sharon Wilson #4357191. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565435). This sheet music collection of 20 folk songs is notated for 13-note (one octave, C to C chromatic scale) instruments with Handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). For each song, there is a combined score with both parts on a grand staff plus a separate 1-staff score for each individual part. A note and chord chart is also provided for most songs. The songs in this digital book are ordered by difficulty with the easiest songs presented first. The songs progressively incorporate more challenging rhythms, some requiring rapid chord changes. Each song in this collection is presented in one of three ways as detailed below:1. Handbells play the melody while the Boomwhackers® keep a steady beat with three-note chords for 1 verse and chorus. 2. Two verses are included: The first verse is easy with fewer notes. The second verse is intermediate and expands the melody by adding more notes. If you want to learn (practice) only the easy verse, an optional ending is provided or it can be skipped to perform the two verses together. 3. Both parts play the melody for one verse beginning with part one (handbells) on the melody and part two (Boomwhackers®) on harmony. After a short interlude, part two plays the melody for the second verse while part one plays harmony. If you want to play only the first verse, an optional ending is provided or it can be skipped to perform the two verses together. This set of scores uses colored noteheads corresponding to the Boomwhackers® color scheme. This set of scores is also available (separate purchase) in black and white which will print clearer if you do not have access to a color printer. Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter and eighth rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Lyrics and chord names are provided as well to aid in the learning and teaching of these songs. Instrument assignment suggestions are provided for each song. Each of the 20 arrangements in this collection is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. Brass Ensemble Trombone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792327 Composed by Traditional Christmas. Arranged by Albrecht, Lisa. Christmas,Folk. Score and parts. 15 pages. Gordon Cherry #4804621. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792327). Do You Hear What I Hear and The Little Drummer Boy, two of the most iconic Christmas songs have been delightfully arranged for Trombone Quartet with optional drummer by Lisa Albrecht of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. The arrangement, which is almost 6 minutes in length is of moderate difficulty (up to high B-flats) and is a real charmer, especially with the drummer added. This work will be a great addition to your concert. The beautiful sound sample is from a live performance by the Rochester Philharmonic Trombone section. Also thank you to Alfred Music and Jewel music for arranging the licensing.

Folk Songs For Classical Guitar - Volume 10 (Songs 244-270)

(+)
Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1152799 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 48 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #753038. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1152799). This is the tenth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 10 (Songs 244-270)Dilly Song 1 (the)Dilly Song 2 (the)Dives and LazarusDo you remember that nightDonkey RidingDorrington Lads (My Dearie She Sits Ower Late up)Doun the Burn DavieDowie Dens of Yarrow (the)Down By Sally’s GardenDown in the Meadows (O Waly Waly-variant)Down in Yon Forest 1Down in Yon Forest 2Dragoon and the Lady 1 (the)Dragoon and the Lady 2 (the)Dragoon and the Lady 3 (the)Dragoon and the Lady 4 (the)Drill Drill ye TarriersDrink To Me OnlyDrover’s Dream (the)Drowned Lover (the)Drowsy Sleeper (Arise, Arise-new setting)Drummer and the Cook (the)Drummer Boy of Waterloo (the)Duke of Marlborough (the)Dunster Carol 1 (I Hear Along Our Street)Dunster Carol 2 (I Hear Along Our Street)Dying Cowboy (the).

Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,Voice,Xylophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565438 By Sharon Wilson. By Traditional. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Folk,Instructional,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Score and parts. 11 pages. Sharon Wilson #4357203. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565438). This sheet music is notated for 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instruments with Handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). This arrangement includes two verses. The first verse is easy with fewer notes. The second verse is intermediate and expands the melody by adding more notes. If you want to learn (practice) only the easy verse, an optional ending is provided or it can be skipped to perform the two verses together. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instrument parts on a grand staff plus a separate score for each instrument. A note and chord chart is also provided to aid in the learning and teaching of this song. Lyrics are provided as well for sing along enjoyment.  Though this sheet music is notated for Handbells and Boomwhackers®, this song is playable by any 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel (though the color coding may not match). This set of scores uses colored noteheads corresponding to the Boomwhackers® color scheme. If you have a set of bells or tubes with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the instruments match the Boomwhackers® color scheme. This set of scores is also available (separate purchase) in black and white which will print clearer if you do not have access to a color printer.Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter and eighth rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. The number of ringers and whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one or two notes to each person. Note assignment suggestions are included.Other suggestions and uses: * have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers® * form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® (this would amplify the sound and allow more people to participate)* use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, children’s ministriesThis song is one of the 20 arrangements in the collection Folk Songs for 13-note Bells and Boomwhackers® (with Color Coded Notes), VOL. 2. Large Ensemble Bassoon,Cello,Clarinet,Flute,Guitar,Oboe,Trombone,Trumpet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1004749 Composed by Rocco Di Pietro. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 38 pages. Rocco Di Pietro #4355205. Published by Rocco Di Pietro (A0.1004749). These musical 'Odalisques' are simple melodies that came to me one after the other in dreams, and upon waking I simply wrote them down. They have a folk like character but no folk music was consuIted.I do not know how they happened or why. I do know that I wanted to express the smile in music and this idea was much on my mind when I dreamed them. They may be played with the drone of an electronic tambura known as a 'Ragini' as accompaniment.Or they may be played alone as solos. They may also be played in groups playing some tutti or some alternating and taking turns one after the other. The work is for a variety of melodic instruments, and I have included parts for High, Middle and Low instruments. The preface gives a complete description of how to form a version for any musical needs.

Published by David Kai (A0.1105255). A fun song for the younger crowd with an environmental message as well! A different spin on WWJD with a touch of Zydeco and a Newfoundland ugly stick thrown in for good measure! WHAT WOULD JESUS DRIVE? (WWJD) By David Kai ©2016 CHORUS: Oh what would Jesus drive, Oh what would Jesus drive? I ponder every day as I go through it, Though many folks are asking, “Well, what would Jesus do?†I’m wondering just what drove him to do it. I thought at first that Jesus would have to drive a car, Like a Chevrolet, a Chrysler or a Ford, But I looked it up in Acts and it’s mentioned there in John, Jesus and the disciples were all in one Accord. CHORUS: God gave this great green earth, but we’ve really messed it up, It pains God’s heart and spirit just to see us, Since God so loves the birds and the lilies of the field, I think that Jesus just might drive a Prius. CHORUS:.

Mixed Percussion Accordion,Acoustic Guitar,Electric Bass Guitar,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1105258 By David Kai. By David Kai. Arranged by David Kai. Celtic,Country,Folk,Irish. Full Performance. Duration 233. David Kai #708518. Published by David Kai (A0.1105258). A song celebrating the people of Gander, Newfoundland & Labrador in Canada who helped close to 7,000 stranded airline passengers after September 11, 2001. The story of Gander and the surrounding towns has been immortalized in the Broadway show, Come From Away. The song is written in a Celtic/Newfoundland style. This song features the use of an Ugly Stick, a traditional Newfoundland percussion instrument. WHEN THE WORLD DROPS IN TO TOWN Words and music by David Kai ©2020 On the 11th of September, in a quiet little town In a place that they call Newfoundland, all the planes were coming down Just how many were arriving, it was hard to know or tell In a quiet town in Newfoundland on the day the towers fell. With ten thousand waiting on the ground, seven thousand on their way The schools and halls and churches were preparing for their stay And not only in Gander, but in places all around ‘Cause you’ve got to pull together when the world drops into town. Chorus: So raise a glass to them, let’s sing a song to cheer For all the workers, cooks and clerks, for all the volunteers Who showed such kindness, who stepped up when chips were down ‘Cause you’ve got to pull together when the world drops into town All the stores they opened up their doors, the supplies, how fast they flew! “Take it all to help the plane people, it’s the least that we can do!†Aunt Winnie baked two dozen of her partridgeberry pies She said, “I think those plane people will be in for some surprise!†So the people were all settled, and much to their delight There were home-cooked meals and showers in homes, even trips to see the sights Though they came from countries ‘round the world, they did seem to all fit in And in kitchen parties here and there, new found friends were being screeched in. Chorus: Soon the skies, they were reopened, just a week and they were gone Though the planes took off into the skies all the memories lingered on For what they all remember, and what’s talked of to this day Is how townsfolk cared for people who had come from far away. So let’s sing and let’s be thankful, for each and every one Who showed us how to live together in the year two-thousand one, Let’s celebrate their kindness, for we never will forget, That in Newfoundland a stranger’s just a friend you haven’t met. Chorus:.

Drum Set,Trumpet,Tuba,Viola - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1349551 Composed by serbian folk song. Arranged by Zoran Radanovic. Contest,Festival,Film/TV,Folk,Patriotic,Wedding. 9 pages. Zoran Radanovic #934310. Published by Zoran Radanovic (A0.1349551). This famous serbian folk song is for quartet (Bb trumpet, tuba, viola and drumset) with set of parts. The March on (or to) the Drina (Serbian Cyrillic: Марш на Дрину, romanized: MarÅ¡ na Drinu, pronounced [mârʃ na drÇËnu]) is a Serbian patriotic march which was composed to commemorate the Serbian victory in Battle of Cer during World War I and came to be seen as a symbol of Serbian resistance and victory in the World War I. Along with the other World War I song, Tamo daleko, it became a powerful symbol of Serbian culture and national identity and remains popular amongst Serbs in the Balkans and the diaspora.[1][2]Der Marsch auf die Drina (serbisch Марш на Дрину MarÅ¡ na Drinu) ist ein Lied aus Serbien, das im Ersten Weltkrieg entstand. Der Komponist war Stanislav BiniÄki (1872–1942). Geschichte Vom 16.
