Small Ensemble Drums,Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - SKU: A0.802642 By Wings. By Linda McCartney and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Film/TV. Score and parts. 36 pages. Peet du Toit #6115473. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802642). Silly Love Songs is a song written by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney and performed by Wings. The song appears on the 1976 album Wings at the Speed of Sound. It was also released as a single in 1976, backed with Cook of the House. The song, written in response to John Lennon and music critics accusing McCartney of predominantly writing silly love songs and sentimental slush, also features disco overtones. The song was McCartney's 27th number one as a songwriter; the all-time record for the most number one hits achieved by a songwriter. With this song, McCartney became the first person to have a year-end No. 1 song as a member of two distinct acts. McCartney previously hit No. 1 in the year-end Billboard chart as a member of the Beatles with I Want to Hold Your Hand in 1964 and Hey Jude in 1968.Silly Love Songs has since appeared on multiple McCartney greatest hits compilations, including Wings Greatest and All the Best!. The song has also appeared on the Hits section of the compilation album Wingspan: Hits and History. Despite its popularity, McCartney has not performed the song live since the dissolution of Wings.Silly Love Songs was written as a rebuttal to music critics (as well as John Lennon) who had criticized McCartney for writing lightweight love songs. Author Tim Riley suggests that in the song, McCartney is inviting his audience to have a laugh on him, as Elvis Presley had sometimes done. But over the years people have said, Aw, he sings love songs, he writes love songs, he's so soppy at times. I thought, Well, I know what they mean, but, people have been doing love songs forever. I like 'em, other people like 'em, and there's a lot of people I love -- I'm lucky enough to have that in my life. So the idea was that you may call them silly, but what's wrong with that? The song was, in a way, to answer people who just accuse me of being soppy. The nice payoff now is that a lot of the people I meet who are at the age where they've just got a couple of kids and have grown up a bit, settling down, they'll say to me, I thought you were really soppy for years, but I get it now! I see what you were doing! - Paul McCartney, Billboard Enjoy my brassy version of Silly Love Songs

Large Ensemble Choir,Flute,Orff Instrument,Voice - Level 3 - SKU: A0.874274 By Billie Eilish. By Billie Eilish, Billie Eilish O'Connell, Finneas O'Connell, and Khalid Robinson. Arranged by a do Ray me flute studio production, Ray-Michael Kauffman. Pop. Score and parts. 41 pages. As do Ray meflute studio production #6865945. Published by as do Ray meflute studio production (A0.874274). LOVELYLovely by Billie Eilish, Khalid and Finneas O'Connell , from the tv show series 13 reasons Why arranged for flute choir by me, Ray-Michael Kauffman. This arrangement was written and dedicated to Professor Morgann E. Davis Parrish , Flute Professor at Millersville University, PA , and also dedicated to the Millersville University First Flute Day. This arrangement is also a special one in the fact that this is a Composition that Cares, meaning all money made from this goes to charity, for treatment of mental illness and trauma victims. To purchase and support this cause , please go to https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publis... and check my website out at www.doRaymeflute.com ******* About the instrumental part scoring, this arrangement was created and intended for flutists of all ages and abilities, and levels , backgrounds and experience to be able to play this.Because of this musical arrangement being created and premiered for and at Millersville University’s First Flute Day on 4/2/2022 ( hosted and created by the incredible Flute Professor at Millersville U. Morgann E. Davis Parrish ), I knew I could enable and create parts for the instrumental scoring that could add more depth and texture, and interest to both the players and audience ( no matter what the flutist’s ability is – because every one should and can play in a flute ensemble and make great music with others and HAVE FUN!! =0)) The two added / extra special parts are Flute E-M and Flute H-C. Flute E-M or C flute part 6 stands for elementary or more beginner player. I have easy rhythms/ notes, key signature and note values and wanted them to experience some melody as reflected in the part. If there is something still tricky for the player, please modify their part so they can enjoy in performing. Flute H-C stands for high school and more advanced playing . High schoolers want more of a challenge, so I wanted to create something both with more complexity and interest, but with in their means of ability as hopefully I reflected here. https://youtu.be/dEz-6bZtzKk

Level 3 - SKU: A0.1422251 By Alan Wagstaff. By Alan Wagstaff. Arranged by Alan Wagstaff. Celtic,Country,Folk,Irish,New Age,Singer/Songwriter. 18 pages. Alan Wagstaff #1003599. Published by Alan Wagstaff (A0.1422251). 'Where Are We Going?' is an Irish style waltz written for soprano voice, fiddle, harp, accordion, flute, and bass. Here is the lyric:'Where are we going?' you asked me today.Truth is - I have no idea.Wherever we're heading - we're heading that way;today - let's enjoy being here. I don't buy into this mad human race.Everyone's rushing to some distant place.Everyone’s hoping some day they'll arrive.I'm busy being alive. What happens next, now that we two have met,Leave in the lap of the gods.'Now' is a moment I cannot regret -right now, we have beaten the odds. I don't buy into this mad human race.Everyone's rushing to some distant place.Everyone’s hoping some day they'll arrive.I'm busy being alive. I love uncertainty - I love the road,I love the time spent with you.I love not knowing the last episode,I love what we're going through. Don’t even know what's around the next bend.Don't want to know, or to see.One thing's for certain - I'll still be your friend,Right now, that feels solid to me. I don't buy into this mad human race.Everyone's rushing to some distant place.Everyone’s hoping some day they'll arrive.I'm busy being alive.

Cello,Cembalo,Violin - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1224544 Composed by Jose Bravo. Baroque,Chamber,Classical,Early Music. 107 pages. Jose Bravo #820650. Published by Jose Bravo (A0.1224544). From the Composer:I committed last year (2022) to review my musical works that have been in digital storage, complete them as necessary, and release them for the world to hear. I finally finished my first work on this list, one that's been on my hard drive in one version or another since 1999 (that's 24 whole years!).Las Follias de España (which despite its name, originally came from Portugal) is a chord progression usually in either D minor or G minor in the form of i-V-i-VII-III-VII-i-V. Composers for the last 500 years have used this chord progression to come up with some fantastic theme and variations, ranging from unaccompanied works, trio sonatas, to even full orchestral implementations. You can spend a looooong time listening to all the beautiful compositions that composers have made over the centuries highlighting this very captivating set of chords.I humbly submit my own version of La Folia in D minor for String Trio and Cembalo (harpsichord). I wrote my first version of this in my senior year of High School as a challenge to myself to write music in a genre I loved. I made updates here and there over the years, but its sat on a hard drive the entire time. It's taken me months to essentially rework it to my satisfaction and has been submitted for copyright. I have uploaded it to YouTube to share with others.BIG SHOUT OUTS to the three composers that inspired me in this work:Corelli: - His version of La Folia is probably the most popular for violinists, especially those that play out of the Suzuki books. I included a modified version of his Folia (Variation 9) in my work (with all other parts being vastly different from his interpretation) as an homage to his work.J.S. Bach - He showed me that music can be as intelligent as it is beautiful. I have two variations inspired by his work. Variation 8 is one that I wrote this year (2023) which I wanted to write for a long time is a variation that showcases the Harpsichord. Bach's keyboard works and unaccompanied violin works inspired me here. Second, Variation 14 I feel has Bach's inspiration all over it. The violin parts are each playing separate distinct melodies in double counterpoint which trade parts on the repeat. The bass line follows a pattern that Bach has employed for the bass on a number of Violin concertos and lastly, the Harpsichord treble part is a mensuration canon based on one of the violin parts, with the keyboard part playing the melody 4x as fast with variations. Lastly on a play of numbers, number 14 was a very special number for Bach, and as a tribute, I've made this the 14th variation in my work. This was also a new variation I added this year (2023) as well.Vivaldi - My first musical love. I feel that I captured a little bit of his musical DNA in all my works and this piece showcases this. Vivaldi's works is what made me fall in love with Baroque music and I am indebted to him for the profound impact his works have had on my life.So here you go. 413 measures. My longest individual work to date. And because I love playing with numbers, I decided to release this to the world on my 41st Year, 3rd month. Enjoy!- Jose Bravo.

My JuneIV. Hello, I’m Johnny CashPiano Trio No. 1 (Poets and Prophets) was composed by Mark O’Connor during the Fall of 2003. The piece was commissioned for the Eroica Trio by a noted patron for music, Kathryn Gould of Palo Alto, California. The world premiere took place at the Montalvo Chamber Music Series in California, March 5th, 2004. In a letter to the members of the trio dated 9/20/03, Mr. O’Connor lays out his plan for the new music. My initial ideas have sort of exploded in to the entire concept of the music with a real impact actually. Now I am piecing together the parts of it and then will eventually work on detail as I get the overall form under wrap. Here is what my inspiration for the music is; Johnny Cash.Johnny was a boyhood hero of mine, I used to sing his songs when I was 8, 9 and 10 years old, and played the guitar like him (sometimes up the fretboard strumming away). My mom used to help me transcribe all the lyrics off the albums, she also thought he hung the moon. As you can imagine, the passing of Cash for me this last week has been emotional. I am at my very best when I compose with my emotions at my sleeve, and guess what, it is time to do the Eroica piece. And I believe I will be able to craft a very unique tribute in to the form of a Piano Trio. There is something that is very fitting in all of this though. Cash was one of the few country music and rockabilly musicians to appeal to all ages, all types of people all the way into the MTV generation which is something that is hard to fathom. That one person can move musical mountains with his charisma and his voice. He sung about the prisons, riding the trains, about killing, and living, about lost love, about the gospel, about the downtrodden and the Native American, and about being stoned. His musical sound was the thing that got everybody though. He developed along with his guitar player Luther Perkins, a new and vibrant way to bring the music out.I also knew Johnny and worked with him, visited him privately at his home. Johnny also appeared on my album called Heroes, where he brought back the great story of the Devil coming down to Georgia to challenge young Johnny for the golden fiddle. My job now is to bridge what I am feeling about my inspiration for Cash, and bring it in to the instruments that I love writing for.I might not have imagined that this Johnny Cash concept would have worked out of hand, if it hadn’t been for your musicianship, insight fullness and graceful approaches in to the details of musical concepts and style. If the piece is good, then I will have no doubt that you will bring it to the forefront so others can grasp the intentions of the work, and in addition for others to enjoy playing it after you have brought it all out in to the open, and gave it a life. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1402629). This song is based on parts of the poem by Paul Valéry Fragments du Narcisse which explains and ponders the idea of the origin of narcissism (self-love)The words are as followsMais moi, Narcisse aimé, je ne suis curieuxQue de ma seule essence ;Tout autre n’a pour moi qu’un cœur mystérieux,Tout autre n’est qu’absence.Ô mon bien souverain, cher corps, je n’ai que toi !Le plus beau des mortels ne peut chérir que soi... Baise-toi. Tremble de tout ton être !L’insaisissable amour que tu me vins promettrePasse, et dans un frisson, brise Narcisse, et fuit..English translation by D W SolomonsBut I, beloved Narcissus, am curious onlyabout my very beingeverything else has nothing more than a heart of mysteryeverything else is nothing but absenceOnly what I own, my dear sovereign body, is what I haveThe most beautiful of mortals cannot cherish anything more than itselfSweet and golden, is there a more holy idolwithin an entire forest, self-consumed and heldand set in the living azure by so many birds? Is there a more divine gift than the favour of the watersand a more adorable use of the dying daythan to return to me the honour of my face? Please don't be silent, please dare to replyBeautiful and cruel Narcissus, unreachable child owning what I hold dear but guarded by the nymphLet the two of us, you on my lips and I in my silencemake a prayer to the gods that they should be moved by so much lovethat they would keep the day held in its purple sunsetGods! only the pale and tender parts remain of the august day,It joins the fate of other days that were consumedIt goes down into the hell of deep memoryAlas, miserable body, it is time to become as oneBend down - kiss yourself - tremble with all your beingThe intangible love that you promisedhas gone by, and in a shiver, shatters Narcissus and flees.

Stuart Brown Music #782621. Published by Stuart Brown Music (A0.1182872). The accompanying score and a choral bundle are also available from this website. The composer writes: 'On That Cross' is a powerful reflection on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I came up with the lyrics at around 3am in the morning of 3rd December 2014 sitting at a desk in room 703 of the De Syloia Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. Often I find that my periods of working abroad give me the space to think of things in new ways. This song is a good example of that. One look at the first page of the score of 'On That Cross' is all you need to realize that this is not a case of a choir singing with a piano accompaniment. I put the piano part above the choir in order to dispel that misconception. So if it's not that, what is it? I wanted to demonstrate that it is possible to approach a subject from two completely different points of view, without either point of view being compromised by the other, and yet the result can nevertheless be a beautiful synergy. That is what the pianist and the choir are doing here. Each is meditating upon the cross of Christ, but from two totally unrelated points of view and yet somehow combining in a way that is almost hypnotically beautifully. There is little obvious relationship between the choir's and the piano's music; and yet each is reconciled to the other ... and there's a very good reason why I wanted the music to speak of such reconciliation. In late 2014 people in Iraq were being beheaded, crucified and generally killed in the most brutal and sadistic manner possible. Their only ‘crime’ was to dare to call themselves Christians. You can say what you like but in my book nobody has the right to tell anybody else what they should believe, much less murder them on religious grounds. The thing that incensed me almost to the point of incandescence was that the perpetrators of this unspeakable evil dared to justify their actions by claiming that they were acting on behalf of their god. So in such frame of mind I started to write the lyrics to 'On That Cross'.The first words that came into my mind were “Oh men who dare to call on gods to justify your hatred – of this be sure …†and I wanted to follow that with threats of eternal damnation, torture in hellfire and so on. Except that the words that flowed out of my fingers onto my computer screen were not like that at all. “Of this be sure – I love you still, my cross your salvation from all the sin of man.â€It doesn’t get much more powerful than that. I may be incapable of loving the people of ISIS, ISIL, DAESH or whatever one calls them, but my God isn’t. He created them, he sent his Son to die for them … and he is even now ready to save them, as he is you and me. That’s grace.A small group of us sang this at a Good Friday united service in 2016. We sang it unannounced, at the end of the service, when one would have expected people to start getting up from their seats and leaving the church. Nobody did. Bass Guitar,Drum Set,Keyboard - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1404285 By Deborah Johnson. By Deborah Johnson. Broadway,Comedy,Contemporary,Jazz,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter. Accompaniment. Duration 128. Deborah Johnson #987388. Published by Deborah Johnson (A0.1404285). Deborah Johnson's Superwoman is a vibrant tribute to the incredible strength of women worldwide. This is the MP3 accompaniment track without the lead vocal--it includes the backgrounds. This upbeat and energetic song celebrates the everyday feats of ordinary yet extraordinary women. Drawing from her own experiences, Deborah navigates the complexities of managing a household, navigating career changes, raising three children, maintaining a marriage, and all the challenges life throws her way. Through Superwoman, Deborah captures the resilience and determination required to juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, resonating with listeners who understand the struggle of holding everything together. Purchase the single MP3 here: https://amzn.to/3PvNCHK The piano/vocal sheet music with vocal lead sheet is also available for download Note from Deborah: Are you embracing your inner superheroine? I get it—navigating life's hurdles while donning our invisible capes can feel like a whirlwind circus act. To claim the title of Superwoman, you've got to juggle the whole shebang: home life, career acrobatics, kid wrangling, spouse wrangling (or partner wrangling, let's keep it inclusive), and just the general chaos of existence. It's the kind of balancing act that'd make a Cirque du Soleil performer jealous! Speaking from the trenches myself, I've done my fair share of plate-spinning: managing a household, enduring the rollercoaster ride of a career (complete with loop-de-loops), wrangling three sons who seem to have synchronized their mischief, keeping a marriage afloat through the stormy seas and dealing with the curveballs life tosses our way. And let's not forget society's laundry list of expectations: staying fit, maintaining a Pinterest-worthy home, being the rock for our loved ones... and that's not even touching on the culinary escapades! And let's raise a toast to the single moms out there, pulling off the ultimate juggling act—balancing multiple jobs, raising the next generation of superheroes, and keeping the household shipshape. They're the Superwomen on turbocharged overdrive! It's no wonder that the song Superwoman resonates with us—it's our anthem, our battle cry, and our reminder that we're all superheroes in our own right!
