Instrumental Duet,Ondes Martenot - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1497639 Composed by Germaine Tailleferre. 20th Century,Chamber,Classical,Film/TV. 5 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #1074054. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.1497639). Born on February 23, 1924, in La Flèche, Jacques Bouillault was 21 years old when, in 1945, he met the Marquise Hélène Rola de Rosycki, who settled him in a forest lodge located southeast of the town, on the Tertre-Rouge hill. Initially, he established himself there as a naturalist-taxidermist. His preserved animals were joined by live ones: birds, foxes, reptiles, rodents... In 1955, the filmmaker Marco de Gastyne made a short film about Bouillault and his zoological park entitled Homme, Notre Ami (Man, Our Friend), with music by Germaine Tailleferre, who was particularly drawn to animals. The « Singes » (Monkeys) sequence is intended to illustrate the capers and other playful activities of these primates in a rather humorous manner.

Bass Trombone,Horn,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1074291 Composed by Josquin des Prez. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Contest,Festival,Instructional,Renaissance,Traditional,Wedding. 50 pages. Jmsgu3 #678587. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1074291). Josquin des Prez (c.1450-1521) was a composer of the Renaissance period, widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. His compositions set the standard for polyphonic music and are considered a high point in the history of music. He wrote a wide range of works, including masses, motets, and chansons, and was the first composer to set popular secular tunes as mass movements. His influence can be seen in the works of many later composers, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, and George Frideric Handel.Josquin des Prez was a prolific composer of chamber music and duets during the Renaissance period. He wrote several types of chamber music and duets, including madrigals, chansons, and motets. His compositions are characterized by their intricate counterpoint, as well as their harmonic richness and emotional expressiveness. His works often featured two voices in harmony, and he was known to use imitation and complex canonic techniques to create interesting musical textures. Josquin's chamber music and duets are renowned for their complexity and beauty, and they remain some of the most influential and admired works from the Renaissance period.Josquin Desprez is widely regarded as one of the most influential composers of the Renaissance period. His innovative use of counterpoint and canon helped to revolutionize the musical landscape of the time. Counterpoint is a technique of combining two or more independent melodies in a way that creates harmony and a cohesive musical texture. Josquin was a master of this technique, often combining multiple voices in complex contrapuntal textures. His use of canon, or round, was also highly influential. Canon involves two or more voices repeating the same melody in different registers and often with different rhythms. Josquin wrote canons in various styles and forms, including the popular “circular canon†and the more complex “strict canon.†He was also an early adopter of the “inverted canon†form, in which the same melody is repeated but in an inverted form. Josquin’s use of counterpoint and canon had a lasting impact on the development of Western music and helped to establish the foundation for many of the musical forms and techniques still used today.Contents: I. Jmsgu3 #678267. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1073999). Published by Striking Media Music (A0.922355). Schubert's trio no. 2 in E-flat major was one of the last compositions he completed, and was among the few of his late compositions he heard performed before his death in 1828. The main theme of the Andante has been used in numerous films including Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon (for which it was the central theme), The Hunger, Crimson Tide, The Piano Teacher, L'Homme de sa vie, and Land of the Blind. This version of the Andante has been arranged for five cellos. Cellos 1 and 2 are close to identical to the original cello and violin parts, while cellos 3, 4 and 5 are an arrangement of the piano part.

Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.532769). This quartet for flute and string trio was commissioned by and dedicated to the Hélios Ensemble of Paris. Freely inspired by the poem of the same name by Charles Baudelaire, this quartet in three movements is derived essentially from the slow motif which begins the works, which generates most of the musical material which follows. The style is more linear than harmonic. The four-part invention which opens the work is followed by the second section (played without interruption) which is a kind of long suspended melody. The third movement is a quick scherzo with a final evocation of the opening motif before a brief coda.

The song is based on a poem by Paul Verlaine in which he imagines himself and his boyfriend Rimbaud as two innocent little girls. Paul Verlaine[literal translation into English]You see, you`ll have to forgive us a few thingsThen we`ll be two happy little girlsAnd if our life is a bit sad at timesat least there will be two of us sobbing together, won`t there?Oh sister souls that we are, wouldn`t we just mingleChildish sweetness with our embarassed vowsTo wander far from the world of adultsAnd forget our banishment in all our fresh innocenceLet`s be two children, two little girlsIn love with nought and astonished by allGoing pale-faced down innocent tree-lined pathsNot even aware that they`ve been forgiven.

Instrumental Duet,Piano Cello,Clarinet,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 4 - SKU: A0.534728 Composed by Clémence de Grandval. Arranged by Jean-Thierry Boisseau. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 30 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #6362071. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534728). Maria-Félicie-Clémence de Grandval (1828–1907) was born on January 28, 1828 at Saint-Rémy-des-Monts, France and died on January 15, 1907 in Paris. After the death of her mother, Louise Adèle du Temple de Mésières, her father the Baron de Reiset, a military officer remarried with an Englishwoman and moved his family to London. After beginning her musical studies privately, she studied the piano with the German composer Friedrich von Flotow, who was a family friend. Returning to France, she studied the piano briefly with Chopin and composition with Camille Saint-Saëns. At first writing mostly sacred music, most of her public success was due to her comic operas: la Comtesse Eva, la Pénitente, Piccolino and Mazeppa. She also wrote orchestral music, chamber music, and over 60 songs (to poets such as Sully Prudhomme, Michel Carré, Henri Meilhac, Georges Hartmann, Charles Grandmougin and Louis Gallet.) She is chiefly known today for her music for wind instruments, especially for the oboe.
