Scored for two Trumpets, Trombone/Euphonium and Tuba. There are alternative parts for F and Eb Horn (Trombone), Bb Trombone/Euphonium in Bass and Treble clefs (Trombone) and Eb and Bb Bass in Treble and Bass clefs. Moritz Moszkowski (1854- 1925), a cosmopolitan European, proud of his Jewish heritage, was born in Breslau, Prussia (now Poland). His set of Spanish Dances have been arranged for different Chamber combinations, including The Spanish Dance No 5 (Bolero) which was used in David Lean's film, Brief Encounter (1945). This piece, Spanish Dance, Op.12, No 1, has also, for good reason, retained its popularity in a number of different musical settings.

School Sisters of St. Francis #856051. Published by School Sisters of St. Francis (A0.1263056). First published in 1958, this organ suite has four movements based on Gregorian Chants. The first three movements are derived from the introit, offertory and communion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception— December 8th. The final movement is based on the Kyrie and the Dismissal from the Mass for Feasts of the Blessed Virgin (Beata Virgine) Missa Cum Jubilo. All are found in the Liber Usualis. An image of each chant precedes its corresponding movement in this score. The compositional style is tonal. It is representative of Sr. Theophane's earlier work though the Communion may have been written later than the other movements. Performance by Dr. Sheri Masiakowski at Marquette University's Church of the Gesu in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The organ is Schantz IV/115R.

Psalms 47:1-3, 5-6.Commissioned by Mississauga (Ontario) Children’s Choir, O Clap Your Hands is a setting of words from Psalm 47 as translated and adapted by the composer. Influenced by jazz and gospel music, this fast, energetic work surges forward with constant syncopation, rich pan-diatonic and chromatic harmony, and repeated melodic lines and text. The exciting initial melody in G minor, repeating the first line, balances the following melodic variation in D minor, repeating the second line with increasing intensity. The same melodic motive is then presented in E minor and developed with soprano solo or soli floating above the choir. The bright and challenging piano part, with its added-tone arpeggios and extended registers, highlights and punctuates the vocal lines. Through alternating keys, various homophonic and contrapuntal episodes, and the addition of “tutti†clapping, the work reaches a climactic, resounding ending. Duration: c. 3:00.
