Digital Download SKU: A0.1069428 Composed by Gregorio Allegri. Arranged by Matt Smith. Baroque,Renaissance. Full Performance. Duration 259. Matt Smith #6209673. Published by Matt Smith (A0.1069428). Miserere mei, Deus, Latin for Have mercy on me, O God, is a setting of Psalm 51 (50) by Italian composer Gregorio Allegri. It was composed during the reign of Pope Urban VIII, probably during the 1630s, for use in the Sistine Chapel during matins, as part of the exclusive Tenebrae service on Holy Wednesday and Good Friday of Holy Week. The Tenebrae service where the Miserere would be sung normally began at dusk, hence the name. During the ritual, candles would be extinguished one by one, save for the last candle which remained alight and was then hidden. Allegri envisioned the setting of the Miserere to be the final act within the first lesson of the Tenebrae service.Duration: About 4 1/2 minutesYouTube demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za5OPYGBj9QVisit www.mattsmithmusic.co.uk for more!

Published by Connie Boss (A0.1323837). God sent his son in the form of a baby. He was born to save all of us. This is a pretty song I composed about a little baby (Jesus). It is for Strings quintet and piano. I have the mp3 playing the melody and cello in the first verse. Then, adding the other parts in the second verse one by one. The cello has a pretty moving part that sometimes differes than the other parts. I have this in other versions as well on here. Parts are included in this purchase. This can be played without the piano accompaniment if desired.Questions or requests - email cdboss@cvalley.netLyrics:A Little BabyChristmas SongComposed by Connie Boss Verse 1:A little baby in a stallA little baby oh so smallA little baby born for allA little babyA little babyRefrain:He was the one God sent usHe was born to save usHe was our light  He gave His life  For usVerse 2:News of His birth spread all aroundAcross the desert and the townThey all were searching up and down….forA little babyA little babyRefrain:Verse 3:His mother stays close by His sideHis father with a watchful eyeA baby gives a humble cryA little babyA little babyRefrain:Verse 4 (Final Ending)In a stall oh so smallBorn to save us one and allHe fulfilled His father’s callA little babyA little baby.

Small Ensemble Bassoon,Cello,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.869619 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 41 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #4969819. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869619). Nancy Braithwaite has been a champion of my music since 1996 when I wrote a solo clarinet piece (Trinca de Chôros) for her to play at her sister Ann's wedding that year in Vermont. After the wedding Nancy asked me if I would write a new piece for her group the Arto Ensemble. I said yes, and I gave them Yo Picasso (1997) for clarinet, viola, cello and piano. Subsequently Nancy asked for more works from me over the years. Octet in D (2012)Clarinet Quintet (2013) La Serenissima (2013) Alice (2015)B.A.C.H. (2018) This year she asked me to write a Nonet so that she could feature it with her group the Rietveld Ensemble in a program with nonets by Bohuslav Martinu and Louis Farrenc. I said yes. This work is scored for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, violin, viola, cello and double bass. It is in five movements. 1. Introduction, Moderato 2. Largo, Vivace, TRIO 3. Prestissimo 4. Largo, Adagio 5. Vivace, TRIO Enjoy!!! Audio link: https://thomasoboelee.bandcamp.com/album/nonet-2019 YouTube link: https://youtu.be/xpn2Ov-37tk

Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111407 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713694. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1111407). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Woodwind Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Woodwind Sextet, consisting of 1 Flute, 1 Oboe, 2 Bb Clarinets, 1 French Horn and 1 Bassoon, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Woodwind Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Included are a score and a complete set of parts (41 pages). So, in addition to this arrangement for a String Septet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition.

Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 5 French Horns and 1 Tuba, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition.
