Key: F major.The instrumental song Khayaal, a lil Fantasy merges Khayaal, a style of Hindustani Classical Music, with synonymity of the word to Fantasy , a Western classical music style. It has a solo Electric Piano version & a band/trio combining Electric piano, Drums, and Contrabass. Though the fusion is not limited to Hindustani or Western Classical, as Carnatic Raagas for filler & BluesJazz/ Rock-n-Roll Bassline is also heard in the piece. This Book is the sheet music for same. Apart from spelled out notes of what is been played, It explains the musical decisions & directions that have gone in the Solo/ Band( Trio) version. The piece explains things like the use of the C half-diminished (2nd Octatonic diminished) scale, allowing exotic movements and exploring various genres. The piece draws inspiration from Indian ragas like Nasikabhushani Ramapriya and others. You will find notes of Crossrhythms, Polyrhythms, the change of time-Sginature, as well as Instrument specific techniques like the Glissando , or Holding a centre note of chord in an arpeggio and a Half-open HiHat, cross stick Snare drumming.
