Piano Accompaniment - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1477616 By Stacey Plays Hymns. By Stacey Plays Hymns. Arranged by Anastace. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Accompaniment. Duration 235. Anastace #1054996. Published by Anastace (A0.1477616). As of this publishing, over 140,000 people have found my one video collection of funeral hymns on YouTube, not including separate postings of each individual song. Because of this it's been on my mind for a long time to write a funeral song, but it was somehow just never the right time until just a few weeks ago when this one came pouring out in 5 minutes flat [which does not happen often, I can assure you!]. The culmination of years of playing for funerals, a bachelor degree in theology and sacred music, and many more years of writing and playing music through good times and also times full of grief, Lord of All Our Days is my very best and heartfelt attempt to serve those who are also dealing with the absolute heartache of loss, be it the acute, fresh grieving of just losing someone or the flashbacks that come time and time again, years and even decades later. This song carefully and tenderly handles the true earth-shaking grief that it is to lose someone you love, while holding out a strong hope of the life to come for those who trust God. I had a very difficult time recording it without being moved to tears over and over, and I pray it will reach many in need of comfort, being of service to anyone who is looking for a Christian, Biblical funeral hymn for a memorial service or a celebration of life service. Also available, by searching Stacey Plays Hymns and the song title on this site, is an accompaniment track with only piano (instead of this one with the full choral backup vocals) as well as the following sheet music options:Piano Vocal in Bb Minor to match the original recording [vocal range: Bb3-Bb4]Piano Vocal in C Major for easier playing and a better congregational vocal rangeLead Sheet for piano or guitar in C Major - best key for singing without a capoLead Sheet in G minor for piano or guitar [play capo 3 or more to match the original key] For other formats including large print, a different key to match a soloist's preferred range, or piano solo for a matching prelude or postlude, please write me at staceyplayshymns@gmail.com and I'll be glad to make them especially for you. Purchase includes a free license for one funeral or memorial service with under 1000 people, with proper attribution and credit in all printed or online materials. For a license to use this work on a larger scale, please contact me for permission and other usage details including lyrics formatted for printing in church bulletins or for powerpoint. Please let me know if there is any other way I can serve you as a congregation or fellow music/choir director as I endeavour to write several new choral anthems per year, along with my other recording work.Thank you for supporting modern hymnwriters and musicians!

Alto saxophone (in Eb) and piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q40783 Composed by Scott Joplin. Arranged by Wolfgang Birtel. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q40783. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q40783). Who would have thought that ragtime would enjoy another renaissance! But more than 50 years after the death of its main representative, Scott Joplin, the film 'The Sting' has made this once popular style well-known and fashionable again. This small selection of Joplin rags is of course not complete without 'The Entertainer'. In comparison, 'Easy Winners' and 'Rag-Time Dance' are no less fun to play, particularly since in the latter the performer not only has to play but also stomp his foot. Excellent music providing entertainment for many occasions!

Woodwind choir - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMS181 Composed by Judith Katz. Score and Parts. 48 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMS181. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMS181). 9 x 12 in inches. With tremors that started in May of 1883, the volcano on the Indonesian island of Krakatoa fully erupted on August 26th of that same year. The eruption continued until the late morning of August 27th, destroying over 70% of the island, the surrounding archipelago, and collapsed into a caldera. This event is counted as one of the deadliest and most destructive events in recorded history. Over 36,000 deaths were the result of both the eruption and the tsunamis that were created. Weeks later, the eruptions on Krakatoa intensified, causing explosions on neighboring islands. Globally, these explosions had effects on Australia and as far away as South Africa. The 1883 Krakatoa eruption also darkened the sky worldwide for years afterwards, caused by volcanic ash. Spectacular sunsets were created and they inspired artists to capture the effects. British artist William Ashcroft made numerous color sketches, attempting to capture the look of the red-tinged skies, and there is a theory that Edvard Munch's blood-red sky depicted in the painting, The Scream, was inspired from his observing the color of the sky over Norway at the time.Of all the original compositions and arrangements that I have written, this is my first foray into program music. Program music can be a difficult genre; has the story really been conveyed? Does the orchestration fit the composition? Is it too short, or rather, way too long.I decided to write this for woodwind choir, rather than woodwind quintet. The sound of a woodwind choir offers enough variety of sound to convey both the frenetic quality of panic, fear, and desperation of a volcanic eruption, and yet the calm, sadness of how people felt, not knowing when things were going to erupt again.

A Pukwudgie Christmas: A Tale of Mischief, Mayhem and Redemption

Guitar Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1453659 By Joseph Davila. By Joseph Davila. Christmas,Classical,Contemporary,Holiday,Multicultural,World. Score and Parts. 17 pages. JaGlo Music #1032873. Published by JaGlo Music (A0.1453659). This is a guitar quartet Christmas piece that I wrote earlier this year. It is for advanced players and is perfect for Holiday Concerts, Christmas parties or recitals. The theme is based on the legend of the Pukwudgie and is the soundtrack to the story below. © Copyright 2024 JaGlo Music. In the quaint village of Hollybrook, Christmas was a time of joy and togetherness. But this year, a malicious pukwudgie named Bramble planned to spread fear and chaos. On Christmas Eve, as villagers gathered around the grand tree for the annual lighting ceremony, Bramble struck. He made the lights flicker and go out and twisted the ornaments into grotesque shapes. He snuck into homes, swapping sugar for ashes and hiding stockings in unreachable places, casting a dark spell over the village. By morning, Hollybrook was in disarray. Children found their stockings missing, cookies ruined, and the tree ominous in the square. Fear gripped the town. Amidst the chaos, a brave girl named Lucy refused to let fear win. She gathered her friends and ventured into the forest, following eerie footprints. They found Bramble muttering dark incantations under a gnarled tree. Caught in a trap made from holly and mistletoe, Bramble hissed his intentions to spread fear. Lucy, with steely resolve, offered him a chance at redemption. Reluctantly, Bramble agreed. They returned to the village, and with Bramble’s help, dispelled the dark enchantments. The ornaments returned to their beautiful forms, sugar replaced the ashes, and the stockings were found. That night, the tree lit up, and Bramble felt warmth in his heart for the first time. The villagers, initially wary, accepted him as he helped create beautiful ice sculptures, adding magic to the festivities. From that year on, Bramble became part of Hollybrook. His dark nature slowly transformed under the light of friendship and acceptance. Large Ensemble,Strings Soprano voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1014310 Composed by Matthew Atherton. Contemporary. Score and parts. 7 pages. Mr Matthew P Atherton #6019431. Published by Mr Matthew P Atherton (A0.1014310). Composed for the 2018 Leavers of Pembroke School, Adelaide. I had the privilege of teaching the two fine singers for whom the vocal parts were written, and both of whom became a significant part of the Year 12 dynamic that year. There was also a tinge of sadness following the death of a Leaver from the previous year. This piece was performed at the 2018 Valedictory ceremony.

Euphonium,Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.918891 By Jubal's Lyre Music Productions. By George Elvey. Arranged by Martin Dicke. Christian,Easter,Lent,Religious,Sacred. 14 pages. Jubal's Lyre Music Publishers #6347563. Published by Jubal's Lyre Music Publishers (A0.918891). Here is a flexible arrangement of the hymn God Loved the World So That He Gave (ST CRISPIN) that is based on John 3:16 and can be used in worship during Lent, Easter, or any time of the Church Year. Designed to involve all ages and levels, this arrangement includes parts accessible to beginning musicians, but is also interesting and challenging for intermediate and advanced players. First the melody is provided so that instruments can at any time play the melody alone or together. A standard four-part harmonization (Setting A) and two variations (Settings B and C) follow. Based on the standard harmonization, the variations provide alternate voicings, descants, and counter-melodies that will lift congregational singing. The arrangement can also be played alone. It is part of the series Festive Hymn Arrangements for the Divine Service. The audio sample features Settings A, B, and C. For more music and information, visit www.jubalslyre.com/music.

Though appropriate for Pentecost there is no direct connection to the scripture readings or sacramentary prayers for that Feast. The composition was written in the early years succeeding Vatican II (October 11, 1962 – December 8, 1965), a time of creative freedom. Small Ensemble Alto Saxophone,B-Flat Clarinet,B-Flat Trumpet,Flute,Horn,Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1047346 By Blaze Scheuerman. By Blaze Scheuerman. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Jazz,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 43 pages. Blaze Scheuerman #651904. Published by Blaze Scheuerman (A0.1047346). Through The Years is meant to be a reflection back onto one’s childhood. Inspired by my own upbringing, it is a recollection of past events that came and mindsets experienced. It opens up with a loud and active sound to show the start of the journey. The character begins happy and energetic, going head first with no fear. The dotted quarter note theme at measure 11 then shows the young child’s state of mind. While beginning to understand concepts of anxiety and fear, he is still full of vigor and confidence. Then at measure 26, the main character begins his adolescence. Still fresh and happy, he sees the world in a simple way and that it is actively watching out for him. He is enjoying this passive time of leisure until measure 40, where he decides to actively try to seek out something. He gets carried away however, and tries to return back to his roots, seen in measure 59. Unfortunately he finds himself tainted and unable to return to his go-getting former self. He then does something peculiar in measure 77. Instead of being angered or saddened by this fact, he accepts it and takes a step back to rebuild himself, seen in the fugato section. After a long and detailed remapping, he finds himself back at his desired happy self. However at measure 127, he feels himself changing once again. So through active awareness and will, he prevents himself from changing into something he doesn’t want to be and instead stays as his desired self.

String Ensemble Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813724 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 9 pages. Regis Bookshar #6474727. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813724). Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets) (Violin Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts and recitals but if you are considering using this selection for church services in which a congregation may sing along, I would suggest that you look for the arrangements of either I Vow to Thee, My Country, O God, Beyond All Praising, O Spirit All Embracing or Thaxted, also by Regis Bookshar. They are all based on the same excerpt from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets. These arrangements are suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing these selections as well. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (9 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. We have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The Planets, written between 1914 and 1917 by the English composer Gustav Holst, premiered at the Queen's Hall in London, on September 29, 1918 for an invited audience of about 250 people. In the fourth movement, Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity, Holst portrays Jupiter's supposedly characteristic abundance of life and vitality. Nobility and generosity are allegedly characteristics of those born under Jupiter, and in the slower, middle section marked Andante Maestoso, perhaps the most well-known theme from The Planets (and the theme on which this arrangement is based), Holst provides a broad tune embodying these traits. In 1921, Holst adapted the theme to fit the patriotic poem I Vow to Thee, My Country by Cecil Spring Rice, and was written as a unison song with orchestra. It did not appear as the hymn tune until 1926, when Holst harmonized this melody, named Thaxted, named after the English village where he had lived for many years. Holst's friend Ralph Vaughan Williams included it in Songs of Praise. It has since been performed at numerous occasions, most notably for the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales in 1981, and also at the funerals of Princess Diana in 1997, Margaret Thatcher in 2013 and Senator John McCain where it was performed at the Washington National Cathedral on September 1, 2018. In addition to being used as the melody for the solemn, patriotic hymn I Vow to Thee, My Country, other settings of this hymn tune also include O God, Beyond All Praising, by Michael Perry in 1982, O Spirit All Embracing by Delores Dufner in 1995 and We Praise You and Acknowledge You, O God, a paraphrase of the Te Deum Laudemus by Stephen P. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version, and this version for a Violin Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. There are Quintets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a Trombone Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Jupiter based on the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gusta.

String Ensemble Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813725 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 9 pages. Regis Bookshar #6474729. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813725). Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets) (Violoncello Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download.
