Rome's Pantheon, based on Greek mythical legends was first constructed over 2,000 years ago as a temple of all the gods. In the year 609, it became a Catholic church.Pantheon for Violin, Horn, and Piano by the great Canadian composer Elizabeth Raum is a seven-movement suite of chamber music depicting various of the Greek gods:1. Eos: Goddess of the Dawn2. Moirae: Gods of Fate3. Aphrodite: Goddess of Love and Beauty4. Zeus and Hera5. Artemis (Diana) Goddess of the Moon and the Hunt6. Hermes (Mercury) of the Winged Sandals7. Apollo: God of Sun and LightHere are the comments about Pantheon from composer Elizabeth Raum:Pantheon alludes to a temple, a musical temple in this case, devoted to the gods of ancient Greek mythology, several of whom are represented in this work. The first movement opens with a horn call as Eos, Goddess of the Dawn begins her rosy-fingered awakening, and rising from her couch, ascends the heavens in her horse-drawn chariot. She heralds the approach of her brother, Helius, the sun god, whose superior brightness causes her color to fade. In the second movement, The Fates (Moirae) spin their thread of life and death. The minimalist quality of the music, representing the steady turn of the spindle, becomes more and more agitated as Atropos, the Fate who holds the shears, prepares to cut the thread. The hand stopped horn and the Bartok pizzicato signify the final snip. A moment of contemplation, and they begin again. Some try to persuade Atropos to delay a moment, but she cannot be deterred. Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, is the third movement. She arose from the foam of the sea and all were charmed by her grace, but she could also be coy and flirtatious as she is in this version. Zeus and Hera, the king and queen of the gods, make up the fourth movement. The opening theme suggests the regal stride of Zeus while Hera, furious at his many infidelities, quarrels with him and schemes to thwart his affairs. In the fifth movement, Artemis (Dawn Goddess of the Moon and the Hunt), holds high her silver bow that gleams in the night sky like the new moon. The clouds drift silently past while she runs with her hounds and dances with her nymphs. Hermes (Mercury) of the Winged Sandals, sixth movement, is scored for violin and horn alone. He is a very mischievous and cunning god, and his exceptional swiftness is aided by his winged sandals as he flies to carry out his divine duties. And finally in the seventh movement, Apollo the horn again summons the gods. A hymn to Apollo celebrates the god of eternal youth, beauty, and music. This is a major chamber work for Violin, Horn, and Piano of about 26 minutes in length written for Erika Raum, Phil Myers, and Peter Allen and is appropriate for very advanced artists.

The Marines’ Hymn is the official hymn of the United States Marine Corps and the oldest official song in the US Armed Forces, authorised for use by the Commandant of the Marine Corps in 1929. The lyrics for the hymn were written by an anonymous author prior to this and includes lines referencing famous battles such as “To the shores of Tripoli†referring to the First Barbary War and “The Halls of Montezuma†referencing the Battle of Chapultepec. The music, however, originates from the “Gendarmes’ Duet†from Offenbach's 1859 opera Genevieve de Brabant. Sammy Nestico, whilst best known as a composer, arranger, and conductor for the Count Basie Orchestra and as a prolific composer of television themes including shows such as M*A*S*H*, and Charlie’s Angels, was also the director of the U.S. Marine Band under both John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. Der Leiermann (The Organ Grinder)This is the final song in Schubert’s Winterreise song cycle, and tells the story of a poet encountering a hurdy-gurdy player busking in the snow. An atmosphere of absolute bleakness and despair should be conjured up by any performance of this song, as the song’s main character completes his lonely ‘winter’s journey’ and deterioration of his mental state. The chromatic grace notes in the introduction are supposed to represent the sound of a hurdy-gurdy being warmed up, and the open A string played thereafter is meant to evoke the hurdy-gurdy’s drone strings; so ensure it is allowed to ring clearly whilst playing the main figure on the higher strings. The guitar part is relatively simple, but it needs to be played with absolute precision and dynamic control; the extensive use of the open position allows the guitar’s natural resonance to come through. This classic Schubert song has been arranged for voice and acoustic guitar in order to provide an alternative accompaniment option for singers who want to perform Schubert’s lieder with guitar instead of piano.

And not just in the USA, but around the world LGBTQ+ persons , are being attacked , imprisoned, and even murdered everyday . IIn the USA, Even where as victims like myself are seriously harmed , and in the hospital , requiring surgery, permanently maimed , broken bones, etc. most criminal perpetrators get minimal sentencing , even probation . And as in my case, these criminals had have multiple other serious convictions of physical harm to others and even serious gun charges. Please make your voice heard, help protect yourself, or your family, friends, and loved ones by contacting law makers local and federal to let them know this is not ok, and laws need to be changed to protect every person . A prayer for God to stay with the speaker throughout life and in death, it was written by Lyte in 1847 as he was dying from tuberculosis. It is most often sung to the tune Eventide by the English organist William Henry Monk.The Last Post is either an A or a B♭ bugle call, primarily within British infantry and Australian infantry regiments, or a D or an E♭ cavalry trumpet call in British cavalry and Royal Regiment of Artillery (Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Artillery), and is used at Commonwealth military funerals, and ceremonies commemorating those who have died in war.

The accompaniment track was created in a DAW with many real sampled sounds varying from prepared piano, dozens of gongs, cymbals, (bowed and un-bowed) and other small percussive instruments. Fine Thread represents at least one suggestion on how one might visualize this piece while listening. (And performing) I tried to convey the endangerment that our planet and humanity is (and will be) going through. Screaming Forest for Clarinet, Violin and Piano was inspired by a striking painting I saw at the MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art in Bangkok. The painting depicts a strikingly red canvas with shocking figures  of trees scattered through it. Created by the Thai artist Tawee Ratchaneekorn, he had this to say about his painting: “If a forest is gone, people have gone.†is the concept of this work’s creation. Natural resources and the environment— which have nurtured people throughout periods of time from prehistory to many civilizations— are being harmed. The forest then screams, with faces on the trees. It means whenever the forest screams because of being harmed, doers are people who live relying on the forest.â€Â The painting is easily available for viewing online. The following piece is approximately 12-13 minutes in duration.This PDF includes Score and Parts.
