Bassoon and Guitar Sonata
Instrumental Duet Acoustic Guitar,Bassoon,Instrumental Duet - Level 5 - Digital Download

Instrumental Duet Acoustic Guitar,Bassoon,Instrumental Duet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1075750 Composed by David F Wainwright. 20th Century,Classical. Score and parts. 13 pages. D F Wainwright #679923. Published by D F Wainwright (A0.1075750). In 1965 I wrote this four movement sonata for myself on guitar and a bassoonist at the same College of Music. I completed it in January 1966. At the time I was in my 2nd year at College and very influenced by Bartok. In form, it follows traditional patterns but the harmonies were more mid-twentieth century. The first movement was played in a BBC competition in 1967 then not again until a former orchestral student of mine asked to play it for his RNCM finals a few tears ago. I've just typed it up into Sibelius and revised the second movement in places. Apologies to Andy - the second movement was sketched and not performed until he played it. I think it reflects where I was at musically at that stage and I still feel it is quite charming, if a little niche market! You can hear an electronic realisation of it here - https://soundcloud.com/user-288245202/bassoon-and-guitar-sonata-iiiiii-iv?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing.

Instrumental Duet Hand Drum,Handpan,Instrumental Duet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.569891 By Sharon Wilson. By Traditional. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Folk,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual,Traditional. Score and parts. 15 pages. Sharon Wilson #6639071. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.569891). Note: the audio sample follows the Grand Staff #2 score with the melody played on a 6-inch, 8-note Tongue drum and chords played on a 12-inch, 13-note Drum; the YouTube video follows the Grand Staff #1 score with both parts played on the 12-inch drum This sheet music is arranged for an 8-note, C major diatonic scale Tongue Drum (8, 11, or 13-note drums, but sounds the best on the larger instruments such as a 12-inch vs. 6-inch). Three separate types of scores are provided for maximum flexibility. Whether beginner or experienced musician, these scores can be used in numerous ways from solo playing to playing with a partner or as a group. A note and chord reference chart is included as well as a rhythm pattern chart. Descriptions, suggestions, and uses for each score and chart are detailed on the introduction page and summarized below: Melody ScoreThis score can be played as a solo with or without singing along. Those new to reading standard music notation as well as those already familiar with music notation will find the numbers above the staff helpful. These numbers correspond to the numbers on the Tongue Drum. Lyrics appear below the staff for sing along enjoyment.Chords ScoresChords Score #1 consists of 2-note chords that harmonize with the melody. These simplified chords follow the beat (4/4 time: count 1, 2, 3, 4 in each measure) making it easy to accompany yourself or someone else singing the melody. Alternately, this score can be used in conjunction with the Melody Score to form a duet by providing the accompaniment while someone else plays the melody. Chords Score #2 is identical to Chords Score #1 except this score uses Rhythm #5 instead of Rhythm #1. Note and Chord ChartThis chart consists of two separate staff rows. The first staff shows the notes used for the melody. The second staff shows the notes in each chord used in this song. Any combination of the notes within a given chord can be played using one of the rhythm patterns. The chord names are shown above the staff. The corresponding Tongue Drum numbers are shown below the staff. Grand StaffThis score combines the Melody Score with Chords Score #1 providing a visual overview of how the two scores line up and is helpful for a director using this set of scores in a group setting. If playing with a partner (a duet), and both are familiar with standard music notation, this score may be easier to use since both players can see what the other person is playing. Rhythm ChartThis chart shows six rhythm patterns that can be used as an accompaniment for the melody. The first rhythm pattern is the easiest and the one used for the Chords Score #1 and the Grand Staff. Using the Grand Staff, follow the chord names above the melody staff to play notes from the given chord using one of the rhythm patterns. Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1478361 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Danny Crocome. 21st Century,Contemporary,Country,Instructional,Traditional. Guitar Tab. 1 pages. Danny Crocome Music #1055743. Published by Danny Crocome Music (A0.1478361). This info sheet shows guitarists 4 weird ways to play the notes of a 2-octave D Major Scale:1. Blending higher fretted notes with open strings2. 3-notes-per-string legato (sequences of hammer-ons and pull-offs)3. Repeating pattern across string sets4. Each scale note on a different string. These unusual ways of playing an ascending and descending major scale give that familiar sound a wholly unfamiliar feel. These patterns also function well as warmup exercises, as they require a different level of left and right hand synchronization than the standard major scale patterns.

Exegesis - Unaccompanied solo for Bass Trombone

Bass Trombone,Instrumental Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792059 Composed by Brink, Phil. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 4 pages. Gordon Cherry #3014037. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792059). Exegesis is an unaccompanied solo for Bass Trombone written by American composer and Bass Trombonist Philip Brink in 1973. The work of about 4 minutes in length is appropriate for very advanced performers and requires the use of multi-phonics and other technical challenges. Below is a brief instruction to the performer from the composer. The rhythmic notation of Exegesis is fairly free; sections in traditional notation should approximate those rhythmic patterns, while arbitrarily long notes, rests or patterns should be as long as possible. The score hints at but does not make explicit any particular dramatic action or effect, which it is left to the performer to create or not. Most of the instructions are on the score and fairly easy to follow. The Beams that crescendo and diminuendo relate to acceleration or deceleration as indicated. There are odd little notes, like secretive in the first line - in these instances do whatever comes to mind as giving an impression of secrecy - change in volume, tone, or whatever - even a hand gesture! The composer gives detailed instructions in the score for the listener and the performer, helping with the interpretation and appreciation of this work.
