Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576279 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 4 pages. David Warin Solomons #15653. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576279). This song was inspired by my initial reactions to the realization that I am infertile. In my case this was due to Kallmann's syndrome I am now perfectly happy with my infertility, after all, there is much else to do in the world and Dawkins' selfish gene can simply go spin its plot elsewhere: my children are my compositions, and they populate the world in their own way with joy, humour and thoughtfulness... wherever they will... ... However, I know there are many who are not happy with childlessness, so I dedicate this song to them ....and to my past self. The sound sample is my own performance. Here are the words: Learn this my child, who never hears my word Your luck is out, you are but but a poem deaf to change You are a romantic ramble on absurd round which the childless brain desires to range Hear this my daughter, blind to loveliness Your love is mine, untouchable, unknown to all Save to a song befitting her distress Whom Sappho loved but answered not her call See this my eunuch, watching others` joy Your luck was in, your luck was in You threw it far away, too far away for its return Save to another and another boy while I look on, unmoved as from a star Taste this my tears grown cold Resigned and pure Your love is his I know not whose nor do I care Yet love I would, and yet cannot be sure that another`s love could now be mine to share Warm this my heart These strings beget my child Their luck is in Their love is mine So close, my son! My daughter`s breath sings Through my fingers styled Sings to herself All other children shun © David W Solomons Video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOB34ds34Tk

Edwards (A0.919233). Our Home is in the Journey was written in honor of a pastor who was moving from a congregation after a long successful tenure. As offered here, the song is arranged as a vocal solo but it was very well received as a congregational hymn. The text tells of a Christian journey which is supported by the love and guidance of our heavenly father. Included are 4 verses always followed by a common refrain. .

By John Powell. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. 20th Century,Celtic,Film/TV,Folk,Irish. Brass Band. 79 pages. RBMusic #795900. Published by RBMusic (A0.1196739). Test Drive is from the soundtrack to the 2010 computer-animated action fantasy film How to Train Your Dragon, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. It follows the story of Hiccup and Toothless as they form an unlikely friendship, against the backdrop of the Viking village of Berk, where the other villagers attempt to kill dragons when they attack. The music is composed by John Powell. Whilst this was his sixth collaboration with DreamWorks Animation, it was the first where he was the sole composer (having worked with other composers such as Harry Gregson-Williams and Hans Zimmer prior to this). In an interview with The Wasp, Powell said that the directors wanted “size and depth and emotionâ€, wanting “a feeling of the Nordic musical past.†This led him to the music of Nielsen, Grieg and, in particular, Sibelius. “Sibelius was the key. I studied a lot of Sibelius as a kid, and I've always adored his music.†He continues, “we looked at all the folk music from the Nordic areas. And I'm part Scottish and grew up with a lot of Scottish folk music, so that came into it a lot. And Celtic music was something that Jeffrey [Katzenberg] felt had this very attractive quality to it, and a sweetness, that he thought would be wonderful for the film.Test Drive appears in the film when Hiccup first takes flight on Toothless. It perfectly brings together “Hiccup's Theme†and “Toothless' Themeâ€. The two themes take over from each other, representing the development of their onscreen relationship during this flight scene as Hiccup starts to trust Toothless, and vice versa. The soundtrack was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score and the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music. This arrangement is for the UK-style brass band, with alternative parts for horns in F and bass-clef lower brass. A recording of the original song can be found here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpPIK4T068s.Other searchable terms: Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Astrid Hofferson, Gerard Butler, Stoick the Vast, Craig Ferguson, Gobber the Belch, blacksmith, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Fishlegs Ingerman, Jonah Hill, Snotlout Jorgenson, T.J. Desert Sea - Accompaniment Mp3

Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1378539 Composed by Deborah Johnson. Christian,Jazz,Praise & Worship,Religious,Spiritual. Accompaniment. Duration 240. Deborah Johnson #963228. Published by Deborah Johnson (A0.1378539). Deborah Johnson's Desert Sea is an exceptional new spiritual composition inspired by Jeremiah 17:7-8. With its captivating blend of unison verses transitioning between 3/4 and 4/4 rhythms and powerful choral SATB choruses, this song is ideal for special occasions. Its profound messaging resonates strongly, making it suitable for both large and small choirs, as well as solo performances. Whether for church services or inspirational events, Desert Sea is a valuable addition to any repertoire. Download available on Spotify and Amazon (https://amzn.to/3SuQ2Hc) The sheet music is also available, which is 12 pages, including cover. Video at: http://youtu.be/3Yj-cBS2Ets Background: Originally written as a solo, Desert Sea was performed at many events, then arranged it for choir when Deborah attended graduate school at Long Beach State University, studying under Frank Pooler who worked with the legendary music group, The Carpenters. The University Choir and band performed Desert Sea, along with other arrangements by Deborah. She then included her choral arrangement in her Master’s Thesis, which traced the history of Spirituals and Gospel songs and their influence on modern jazz. Deborah’s original arrangement of Desert Sea was modeled after a popular Christian artist at the time, Keith Green, with driving eighth notes throughout. (you can find it in the LBSU Archives!) The current updated arrangement has been re-worked, as it alternates between 3-4 and 4-4 time, feeling like 7-4. Deborah and her son, David, perform all the vocals on this recording. Deborah Johnson is not only a headliner artist, but speaker, author, composer and educator with a Master of Arts degree in composition and arranging. In the past years, she has been up for multiple Grammy Awards for her original songs, arrangements and albums. With over two dozen albums, hundreds of songs, three full-length original musicals with National Distribution and multiple books under her belt, these all make Deborah a part of a unique group of women entertainers and composers in the world. She has also been one of the first-call pianists for Disney for a number of years.  For more information about Deborah, her albums, books and products, visit https://DJWorksMusic.com https://GoalsForYourLife.com or https://DeborahJohnsonSpeaker.com Music and Lyrics by Deborah Johnson. (ASCAP) Basic production and piano tracking by Deborah. All vocals by Deborah and David Johnson. Additional production, guitars and bass by Michael Ferenci. Recorded at Ferenci Studios, Silverlake, CA.

Small Ensemble Bouzouki,Guitar,Harpsichord,Mandolin,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017678 Composed by Anonymous. Arranged by Gordon Jackson. Baroque,Celtic,Classical,Folk,Irish,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 4 pages. Gordon Jackson #6436745. Published by Gordon Jackson (A0.1017678). Staines MorrisThe song, Staines Morris, is very well known by singers of traditional songs. It’s a 17th century song. It’s a 19th century song. Actually, it’s both! The lyrics were certainly published, and probably written, by Robert Cox for his play Actaeon and Diana, published in 1656. The tune was first published in John Playford’s The English Dancing Master in 1651. There is no evidence that, in the 17th century, the lyrics were sung to this melody. That didn’t happen for two hundred years, when William Chappell put the two together for his Popular Music of the Olden Time, vol. 1 (1859). I have added chords to the melody. Whilst humming the tune to myself, I found myself moving into 6/8 time, and that inspired me to compose a galliard based on it, complete with ‘divisions’ (runs of semiquavers or 32nd notes) and counterpoint. The song melody and the galliard can be played separately or as parts of one piece, perhaps with the galliard played between two of the verses. I put the galliard in A minor, to provide a contrast with the D minor song melody, but play them in whatever key takes your fancy. I have also added below the lyrics, as most often sung today.Come ye young men, come alongWith your music, dance and songBring your lasses in your handsFor ’tis that which love commands Then to the Maypole haste away For ’tis now our holidayIt is the choice time of the yearFor the violets now appearNow the rose receives its birthAnd the pretty primrose decks the earthAnd when you well reckoned haveWhat kisses you your sweetheart gaveTake them all again, and moreIt will never make them poorWhen you thus have spent your timeAnd the day be past its primeTo your beds repair at nightAnd dream there of your day’s delight

Brass Ensemble Euphonium - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813984 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 11 pages. Regis Bookshar #6636627. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813984). Euphonium Octet - Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of Silent Night, or in German, Stille Nacht, would be a wonderful addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts, recitals, and, especially, church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (11 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Silent Night is probably the most popular Christmas carol ever written. It was composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr and was first performed on Christmas Eve at St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a small village in present-day Austria. A young Catholic priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had written the poem, Stille Nacht, in 1816 and had gone to Oberndorf in 1817. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. On Christmas Eve, 1818, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for that night's mass, after river flooding had possibly damaged the church organ. The church was eventually destroyed by repeated flooding and has since been replaced with the Silent-Night-Chapel.According to Gruber, Karl Mauracher, an organ builder who serviced the instrument at the Oberndorf church, was enamored with the song, and took the composition home with him to the Ziller Valley in Tyrol, Austria. From there, two traveling families of folk singers, the Strassers and the Rainers, included the tune in their shows. The Rainers were already singing it around Christmas, 1819, and once performed it for an audience that included Franz I of Austria and Alexander I of Russia. They also gave the first performance of the song in the United States in New York City in 1839. By the 1840's, the song was well known and was reported to be a favorite of Frederick William IV of Prussia. During this period, the melody changed slightly to become the version that is commonly heard today. The version of the melody that is generally used today is a slow, meditative lullaby, or pastoral, differing slightly from Gruber's original which has a moderate tempo. The song has been translated into about 140 languages and has been recorded by many singers across many music genres. The version sung by Bing Crosby in 1935, has sold over 10 million copies as a single. In this arrangement of Silent Night, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic form of this familiar Christmas carol, but has also included a descant during the third verse. Also, in addition to this version for a Euphonium Octet, written in Bass Clef, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. There is also a version for a Euphonium Octet, written in Treble Clef, if you prefer. There are Quintets and Octets readily available for purchase. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Silent Night will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (7 pages). The version of the melody that is generally used today is a slow, meditative lullaby, or pastoral, differing slightly from Gruber' s original which has a moderate tempo. Also, in addition to this version for a Euphonium Quintet, written in Treble Clef, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. There is also a version for a Euphonium Quintet written in Bass Clef, if you prefer.

String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813992 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 12 pages. Regis Bookshar #6636649. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813992). String Octet - Intermediate - Digital Download. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (12 pages). Also, in addition to this version for a String Octet, consisting of 3 Violins, 1 Viola, 3 Violoncellos and 1 Double Bass, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles.

Included are a score and a complete set of parts (7 pages). Also, in addition to this version for a Violoncello Quintet, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles.
