It was published posthumously in 1615 and shows a great transition from the Renaissance to Baroque style.This advanced arrangement is for a choir of 22 trombones, with alternate trumpet and French horn parts forthe top voices.

Daniel gave a Pife - a bamboo flute typical from the northeast region from Brazil – as a present to me. I immediately improvised some phrases and sent them to Daniel, who harmonized it to complete and organize the song. After that I wrote this arrangement for 2 C Flutes and String Orchestra. The result is a very cheerful forró that we dedicated to the luthier of the pife, the virtuoso Alexandre Rodrigues. It was premiered in Manaus at the XX International Flute Festival by ABRAF - 2024, accompanied by the Amazonas Chamber Orchestra. The piece has an interactive improvisation section for the 2 soloists.Score and parts included (2 flutes, violin, viola, cello and double bass).
