The MP3 clip here, limited to 30 seconds, happens late in the arrangement, which is 3 minutes and 15 seconds long. You'll hear the characteristic Stevie Wonder modulation up a half step. I brought the whole song down a half step from the original key of B (yikes!) to Bb. After the modulation players will be challenged briefly by the key of Cb. I urge you to purchase this arrangement, as I'm confident you'll find that I've captured the essential elements, as well as the excitement, of Stevie's great song, and allowed the brass quintet to sound at its best. Professional quintets can really enjoy this arrangement, but it is also playable by good student quintets.

An ideal hymn selection for Easter Sunday, Eastertide, or at any celebration of the eucharist, At the Lamb's High Feast We Sing is one of many hymns translated from Latin by Robert Campbell (1814-1868), a Scottish advocate (lawyer) and Roman Catholic layperson. First published in 1850, At the Lamb's High Feast We Sing was one of four of Campbell's hymn texts to be included in Hymns Ancient & Modern (1861), the first standardized and popular hymnal of the Anglican Church.The tune accompanying the text, known as SALZBURG, is attributed to the German composer Jakob Hintze (1622-1702). Its harmonization has long been attributed to J.S. Bach and numbered among his works as BWV 262. Published by Bud Caputo (A0.1512009). Träumerei is a part of Schumann's Scene from Childhood, which was his first attempt at writing for piano solo. The Dreaming piece itself was the seventh in the set and was written as a tribute to his four-year-old daughter Marie. The composition was published on the 27th of December 1838 with Schumann's Kinderscenen, Op. 15 (Scenes from Childhood) as its title. The title was given by the composer himself and it echo's his longing for his childhood and for the innocence of his children. It should be performed with a great deal of (rubato (give and take) of the phrasing and tempo, which will challenge students to watch their conductor very carefully. A Trombone Sub for Horn in F part is included. The string orchestra version is identical to the brass version and may be heard on YouTube .Click this link.
