California Girls This is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American rock band, the Beach Boys featured on their 1965 album Summer Days. Wilson conceived the song during his first acid trip, later arranging and producing the song's recording. Upon its release as a single, "California Girls" reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is considered emblematic of the 1960s Californian Sound. It is arranged for brass quintet. I have transposed it into Bb, a less problematic key, for playing the bass riff, which is shared amongst tuba, trombone and horn. The melody is shared amongst the 4 upper instruments, and I have given interesting harmony parts to the others, rather than following the melodic line. Hope you enjoy it.

Swiss Folk Song - Simelib�rg A beautiful traditional melody, describing heartache and loss of a man who went to war as a mercenary sometime in the 16th century, after he erroneously believed that he had killed a rival for the favours of a village girl. Upon returning home he found his rival alive but his beloved girl had died from heartache. Carefully arranged with some more modern arranging techniques. Easy playability for youth orchestras and ensembles.?

"God Only Knows" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Tony Asher for American rock band the Beach Boys, released in May 1966 as the eighth track on the group's album Pet Sounds. Two months later, it was released as the B-side of "Wouldn't It Be Nice" in the United States. In other countries, "God Only Knows" was the single's A-side. It is arranged for horn quartet. The melody is given to 2nd horn for the first verse, and split amongst all 4 for the rest of the song. Transposed into F to aid the horn player.
