New apoyando/picado exercises that I hope it will be interesting to play. Sincerely speaking, I don't like exercises because they are mostly for technique and there is no music. I wanted to create exercises that would be interesting for me, the musical exercises. I am satisfied with this work - now I have more good exercises for myself and I share it with you. Each exercise is made like a cycle. You can practice some important technique elements - left hand transitions that are common in flamenco guitar music, with p/h/glissando. These patterns are also useful as guitar licks for flamenco fusion improvisation. Enjoy!

This arrangement of Menuet I & II from Cello Suite I, by Johann Sebastian Bach, for solo guitar, incorporates slurs (hammer-ons, pull-offs) to simulate aspects of the cello. An original composition in DADGAD tuning for solo acoustic fingerstyle guitar. Written as a reaction to the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020. As I woke one morning and thought about the current situation, I came to realize that, each day, I experienced the same set of thoughts and outlook as the day before, thoughts of unrest, fear, and wondering if this would ever pass. Would life ever be as it was before? I check the news for the latest updates on the virus, and try to move forward as best as I can. But, in the end, each day seems to be as the day before, as if I?m going round and round, not sure of what the future holds. The constant harmonic movement from Am - G - F- G makes the piece feel as if it?s a constant, never ending cycle.

This is a simple, short arrangement of the lovely Scottish song 'Annie Laurie' for solo guitar.

The technical and musical level is suitable for early-years guitarists. The ABRSM grade level is approximately Grade 2 and for other boards, where the technical requirements are more relaxed, Grade 3.

Exam boards across the world are now offering online video submissions to replace existing grades. Candidates are required to perform some set repertoire but also free choice music. This piece is ideal for Grade 2-3 standard players (2nd-3rd year). Annie Laurie also makes an excellent piece of repertoire and the addition of chords makes it a possible ensemble piece.
