Derek Hasted writes "This charming piece, by Ennio Morricone, has found fame in the films Maddalena and Le Professionnel, and on television in An Englishman's Castle and The Life and Times of David Lloyd George. In the UK it reached number 2 in the Singles Chart.

I have also made a simpler arrangement for 3 guitars (or large ensemble), listed elsewhere on SheetMusicPlus - this duet version stays closer to the original, but requires a little more dexterity.

My arrangement for 2 guitars comes with full score and two slightly different arrangements, all in this one edition. One arrangement is "tune and accompaniment", and is ideal for a school concert as well as for an adult duo of slightly different skills, or as a student/teacher duet. The other arrangement switches the parts between tune and accompaniment for a version which is slightly more interesting for players and audience in a concert situation. That said, both versions will work in front of an audience!

The accompaniment line uses a sixth string tuned to D, and many of the arpeggio shapes are instantly recognisable. Each is fingered on its first occurrence. The sixth string tuning removes the full barr�s on the chords of F and G, leaving half barr�s in their place.
