Published by Grant Horsley (A0.1400895). The most famous Nocturne of all Chopin's arranged here for flute duet and piano. This arrangement has been made simpler by turning it into 3/4 time instead of 12/8- Moving the key signature from E flat to F major. Both instrumental parts are reasonably equal in terms of range (2 octaves) and detail and bowing is left to the performer. I've tried to keep the piano part light and simple for support. The fast melisma type runs in the original have been taken out, and although I have included mordents and trills, these can be optional.I have set it to early intermediate, but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. The piano part is 5 pages, instrumental parts 2- and it is 4 mins 30 in length. It also has only quarter and eighth notes throughout with the occasional half-note so rhythmically quite simple!The range is 2 octaves in comfortable range and bowing is left to the performers. It is romantic in nature.It is placed at early intermediate level, about associated board grade 4 Written in D major- The youtube link has the full score for you to assess suitability. The Violins range is limited to two octaves D- top D and the most complicated rhythm is that of a pair of quavers so it is very suitable for students of most abilities. Bowing is not included but left to the performers. It is very suitable for all types of occasion, concerts, weddings, recitals, incidental music etc.. There are 3 instrumental pages per part and the piano part has 6 pages- 4 minutes in length. It is in Concert D minor and Ternary form, I have set it at early intermediate as the Violin range is around 2 octaves and a dotted crotchet quaver is the most complicated rhythm. Slavonic dances are inspired by the folk rhythms and styles of Slavic nations, This wonderful piece composed in 1886 is one of the finest and most well known.It has been arranged for early intermediate players, although the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess. I have written it in 3/4 time instead of the original 3/8 for ease of reading. The phrasing has been adapted to keep as close to the original as possible. Bowing has been left to the performers.There are also small variations in the final section to keep the arrangement cohesive. Â It has been covered in so many ways for such a variety of instrumental combinations as it's such a popular memorable piece. It is useful for concerts, recitals, weddings, incidental music etc.It is roughly 5 minutes in length.Price is for the full score and parts.

I wanted this piece to convey the feeling of the shared warmth of having family and friends meeting over the festive season when everything is done, and now it’s time to enjoy! Written in Concert C major the introduction begins with a bell- like Christmas chime settling into the main theme which is almost like a verse and chorus.The piece has two of these sections with a link between the two. The second section is a different treatment to the first as some of the bell like figurations of the opening are incorporated. There is also a mix of staccato and legato phrasing to give contrast. The Chorus part is repeated before a short quiet reflective ending. The range is two octaves at most and there is nothing more complicated than an eighth note- hence it has been set in early intermediate level.I wanted 2 equal instrumental parts so there is no number 1 and 2! The whole piece is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability.Ideal to be added to a Christmas concert list!It is 3 minutes 15 in length. Price is for score and parts.
