It’s Been a Long Long Time is arranged as a duet for two Violins.It’s Been a Long Long Time is best known to modern audiences as the song at the end Avengers: Endgame, where Steve Rogers, after seventy years, finally gets to dance with Peggy Carter. The song of course, is much older. Two versions of It’s Been a Long Long Time topped the charts in late 1945, and as US servicemen returned from Europe and the Pacific, it perfectly caught the mood of the times. One version was by Bing Crosby, and the other by the Harry James Orchestra featuring Kitty Kallen on vocals. It is the latter version that is heard in Endgame and the one that forms the basis of this arrangement.Musicians at an intermediate standard will find It’s Been a Long Long Time ideal for formal and informal concert performances. with both parts enjoying plenty of melodic interest. I have written it in 3/4 time instead of the original 3/8 for ease of reading. The phrasing has been adapted to keep as close to the original as possible. Bowing has been left to the performers.There are also small variations in the final section to keep the arrangement cohesive. Â It has been covered in so many ways for such a variety of instrumental combinations as it's such a popular memorable piece. The name Nocturne (meaning of the night) was originally an ensemble piece in the 18th century in several movements used for for evening parties. Later In the 19thc it's one movement form, it was adopted by John Field and later popularised by Chopin. It generally has a tranquil lyrical melody and is very romantic and expressive. I have tried to keep these elements in this Nocturne. Written here for Violin Duet and Piano, the parts are equally divided. Highest note top F sharp, violin 1 (once). Bowing has been left to the performer. It is written in the key of concert B minor it has a very gentle opening with harmonies evolving around a cycle of 5th's in places. The piece has three definite sections- the lyrical melody to begin with, a middle section building to a climax before a return to the 1st section. This is followed by a transitional contrasting section (poco piu mosso) wandering through a few keys to settle on an inner pedal tonic note chime. Gentle chords restore the opening once more- this opening theme climaxes towards the end and a gentle reflection of the opening bars concludes the piece.It is 4 mins 20 in length and price is for the full score and parts.I have set it to intermediate level, but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. This tree lines the streets of Buenos Aires which is considered by many to be the birthplace of the Argentinian Tango.This original Tango has two main sections- a passionate and animated section to begin with which clearly states the rhythms associated with the Tango, followed by a contrasting more wistful romantic middle section, which has the Cuban Habanera elements present, from which a Tango is derived. Then the piece returns to the first section taking it to a conclusionJacaranda is in the key of concert C minor with the middle section in C major. The range is around two octaves and I have tried to keep both parts interesting and equal with shared moments of melodic and rhythmic interest. A barcarolle is a traditional folk song sung by Venetian gondoliers, characterized by a rhythm reminiscent of the gondolier's stroke, almost invariably in 6/8 meter at a moderate tempo. or an instrumental piece composed in the same classical style. This modern Barcarolle, is a soft lilting Barcarolle in 6/8 time. It is in concert E flat major and in ternary form. After a gentle introduction the main theme begins with the instruments sharing the melodic line before eventually harmonising. These outer sections provide a lilting, rocking type mood to set the character of the piece. The middle section by contrast, has a lot more movement for variety but keeps within the style of the Barcarolle. On return of the main theme once more the piano takes the melody with small embellishments by the individual parts before a gentle conclusion. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change of key, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as for use in ensemble practice between musicians of different traditions.Ludwig van Beethoven began concentrated work on his Symphony No. 7 in A major Op. 92 in 1811, it was completed in 1812, and was dedicated to Count Moritz von Fries, and premiered in Vienna on December 8, 1813. It is considered a remarkable example of the more ebullient side of Beethoven's compositional personality and evidence that even after the onset of deafness, he still found cause for musical optimism. The second movement Allegretto is a funeral march in everything but name. Often several contrasting melodic ideas are made to coexist, as if Beethoven were imagining several processions converging on the cemetery at the same time. As he was working on this symphony during the years of the Napoleonic Wars, this experience was probably within his experience. It was also used as the soundtrack to the film Knowing, by director Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage, where it is used in the final scene of the film. Beethoven called Symphony No. 7 his most excellent symphony, and a music critic of the time reported, this symphony is the most melodically rich and the most pleasing and comprehensible of all Beethoven's symphonies..

The work was written to accompany the play of the same name by August von Kotzebue, for the dedication of a new theater in Pest. Perhaps the best known part of the composition is the Marcia alla turca, In Latin America, this movement became known in Jean-Jacques Perrey's version (who titled it The Elephant never Forgets) since it was used as the opening theme of the successful Mexican TV comedy El Chavo del Ocho. The opening and the turkish march are often performed separately, and the other pieces in this set are not often heard.
