Here is an easy string trio arrangement (for 2 VIOLINS and 1 CELLO) of the classic Thanksgiving tune NUN DANKET ALLE GOTT by Johann Crüger and Martin Rinkart. This song is fun for all three parts and is a welcome addition to recitals and worship services throughout the year, but especially during the Thanksgiving season.All three parts lead with the melody at times making this song equally challenging and interesting for all players. All notes for both VIOLIN parts and the CELLO are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. This arrangement is in the key of F major which will develop skill using low and/or high fingerings. Set in a minor key, the solemn, reflective melody matches the deeply thought-provoking lyrics (see below). Though the lyrics may seem archaic at first, by reading through the words and meditating on the meaning, the beauty of the message becomes clear.
