As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change in key, so that it is comfortable for all instruments in the formation, thus maintaining the essence of the striking melody, as well as using it for ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions.Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Op. 125 incorporates part of the poem An die Freude (To Joy), a hymn written by Friedrich Schiller, with the text sung by soloists and a choir in its last movement. It was the first example of a major composer using the human voice as prominently as the instruments in a symphony, thus creating a far-reaching work that set the tone for the symphonic form that was to be adopted by Romantic composers. This is the last complete symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. The choral symphony, better known as the Ninth Symphony or The Ninth, is one of the best known works in the Western repertoire, considered both an icon and predecessor of Romantic music, and one of Beethoven's great masterpieces, where it was first performed on May 7, 1824, the same year it was completed, at the Kärntnertortheater in Vienna, Austria. The conductor was Michael Umlauf, the theater's music director, and Beethoven - dissuaded from conducting by the advanced stage of his deafness - was given a special place on the stage next to the conductor. It was later rearranged by Herbert von Karajan to become the anthem of the European Union in 1972, the national anthem of Rhodesia from 1974 until 1979, Rise, O Voices of Rhodesia, used the tune Ode to Joy.

An experience that many conductors may feel they have experienced.The music is from the original 'War of the Worlds' film and was recorded by Justin Heyward and the band 'Moody Blues'.There are solo versions with piano accompaniment of this song available for a variety of instruments in suitable keys. The difficulty level ranges between grade 3 to 5 based on the ABRSM/Trinity scale requirements.A 10 piece version and various solo versions with piano accompaniment are available for this work together with a full brass band version. There are also vocal versions for a male and/or female voice with a standard 3 horn 'Cruise ship' format backing.

It is not known for whom this work was written, but the sole surviving source, a set of parts in Uppsala University Library in the hand of Fredrik Silverstolpe, Kraus's first biographer and assiduous collector of his music, dates it to Kraus's grand tour; he notes that it was written in Paris in 1785. This sonata is the most virtuosic and imposing work in this genre that the composer wrote. Of particular interest is the use of a slow introduction with lyrical violin solo, the long Adagio with its alternating solo passages, and the playful final Scherzo which bears a thematic similarity to the now-lost original third movement of Kraus's Violin Concerto (VB 151). This is evident in the use of deliberate devices, such as unison scalar passages and sustained notes in the violin part. Foreshadowing Hindemith's notion of Bildungsmusik from a century and a half later, it is clear that the intent is to create a substantive piece of music for future instrumentalists that not only allows for good compositional style, but both pedagogical function and a relatively easy degree of difficulty for the performers, as well. Invention and Nocturne were composed in Moscow in 1935, they are testimonies to the political pressure exerted on the composer to write in a more comprehensible, less avant-garde way. All three pieces are ideal for music lessons, yet also effective on the stage. Roslawez studied composition and violin in Moscow. He was one of the leading figures of the musical scene in the 1920s. Treated with increasing hostility for political reasons, up to being barred from pursuing his career, he spent the last years of his life in poverty.
