A famous cover version called Wooden Heart is a song best known for its use in the 1960 Elvis Presley film G.I. Blues. Here you have a richly contrapuntal and rewarding arrangement to play which features all players. Not technically difficult, confident players of grade 3 standard should be able to get much from this music. Your audience will love it, too! Play and Sing Un Poco Loco from Disney's Coco!  This Multi-Level Masterpiece arrangement is scored for mariachi and string orchestral ensembles in a festival arrangement with a variety of levels from first-year players and beyond! Watch and Listen on YouTube! --> https://youtu.be/V1wBfV9cxFYEach purchase of this score/parts allows for 40 musicians to use this sheet music for one calendar year from purchase date.Here is some information to help make this arrangement work best! 1.    All parts in this arrangement can be played simultaneously in a festival-style performance. 2.    The most basic way to play this piece and have it sound like the piece would be to have the violin or viola part (normal or advanced) and a bass instrument (guitarrón, bass, or cello) playing while one or more singers play. 3.    Instruments could play the vocal parts, if necessary. 4.    Adding the foundational, normal, or advanced armonia (guitar, vihuela, or other chordal instruments) would enhance quite a bit. 5.    Adding the normal or advanced trumpet parts would add another layer. Their part doubles the violin/viola parts in most places, but there’s a part near the middle where their part varies to add complexity to the counterpoint. 6.    The foundational violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, and trumpet parts (normal sheet music) are in unison. They are a mixture of melody/harmonic writing and the bass parts. These parts should be played alongside 2 and 3 listed above. (4 and 5 too if you can!) 7.    The Foundational Notes sheets are one note per measure. In this piece, they are the main tonic chord tones. In this piece (but not in all Multi-Level Masterpieces), they also happen to be the basic major chords. These parts should be played alongside 2 and 3 listed above. This new arrangement of the much-loved traditional fiddle tune is a little gem and would be a great addition to the repertoire of any school or youth string ensemble. As with all Pick n' Mix arrangements, there are multiple part options to suit all playing levels- whether advanced players, complete beginners and all those in-between. The first half of this piece is deliberately straight-forward and will sound pleasing if you have little rehearsal time, while the second half provides the opportunity for lots of folksy double stopping fun for those wanting more of a challenge.The concept of all Pick 'n' Mix Strings arrangements is that you just choose the parts which are most suited to your players. We are absolutely NOT suggesting that you try to cover every single possible part! If you don't have any players on the more advanced parts, this doesn't matter at all. Alternatively, experienced ensembles might want all players on advanced parts. You may well use a mixture of some advanced parts and other simpler parts- or you could even have a very early beginner ensemble just using the parts for open strings and first fingers, with a teacher playing the main tune on piano for instance. There are play-along videos available on YouTube @PicknMixStrings for all Open String Parts, which we hope will be helpful for beginner players to practice along with.In addition to the regular score and parts, there are also optional versions of each part with the: STRING FINGERING written in; LETTER NAMES written in; an EXTENSION SCORE; a REDUCED SCORE; an optional PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT and an optional PIANO REDUCTION. There are tried and tested suggested BOWINGS included in all string parts. While the Twelve Days of Christmas has long been a Christmas holiday favorite, you’ve never heard it played like this before. Here is an opportunity for the musical AND comedic talents of one of your most advanced players to be featured! The soloist plays the role of an accomplished, yet most pretentious and self-aggrandizing soloist. The accompanying orchestra parts are not difficult, although a more advanced orchestra will be able to make even more of the light-hearted and occasionally dramatic accompaniment. A two-page outline of suggestions are also provided to help enhance the comedy, but you are invited to put your own comedic stamp on the performance. Early in the work, the soloist has a few very simple solo passages which he or she deftly and smugly executes flawlessly. As the music proceeds, the soloist is highlighted with several showy, but brief, cadenzas. The mood then changes and becomes melodramatic and sorrowful, perhaps requiring a stagehand to produce a handkerchief and dry the tears of the soloist (and perhaps the conductor). The work ultimately concludes in a joyful and spirited manner. Your audience will long remember Fantasy on the Twelve Days of Christmas. Arranged for Solo Cello with string orchestra, optional solo parts for viola and for violin are also provided.

Some of the turn-around chords which were chromatic I have altered to be diatonic chords for ease of the players given that it is for an intermediate-level group.The Violin 1 part has the main melody, and pizzicato at the beginning and end. The Violin 2 part as normal supports Violin 1 with harmony which is most of the time in thirds just like the original.The Viola part is the easiest of all the parts mostly playing dotted half notes as well as playing a little pizzicato.The Cello part has a lot of the color for the chords and the B section has a little counter melody.The Bass part uses, pizzicato and arco, low F naturals and one Eb, as well as dotted quarter notes for the main theme to match the violins.It can also be played as a string quintet if desired. If you don't have any violas I will have another version with a “Violin 3†part that is the same as the viola. I hope you enjoy it!

As with all Pick n' Mix arrangements, there are multiple part options to suit all playing levels- whether advanced players, complete beginners and all those in-between. The melodic interest of the Verses is passed between instrument sections and develops musically throughout the arrangement, whilst the catchy, repeated Chorus section provides a great hook for everyone to join together throughout the piece. The concept of all Pick 'n' Mix Strings arrangements is that you just choose the parts which are most suited to your players. We are absolutely NOT suggesting that you try to cover every single possible part! If you don't have any players on the more advanced parts, this doesn't matter at all. Alternatively, experienced ensembles might want all players on advanced parts. You may well use a mixture of some advanced parts and other simpler parts- or you could even have a very early beginner ensemble just using the parts for open strings and first fingers, with a teacher playing the main tune on piano for instance. In addition to the regular score and parts, there are also optional versions of each part with the: STRING FINGERING written in; LETTER NAMES written in; an EXTENSION SCORE; a REDUCED SCORE; an optional PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT and an optional PIANO REDUCTION. There are tried and tested suggested BOWINGS included in all string parts. However, should any music directors wish to use alternative bowings to those printed, we can happily provide versions of the score and parts without bowing on request. There are also Play Along videos available on YouTube @PicknMixStrings for all the Open String parts, in case these are helpful for practising along with!
