STRING ORCHESTRA WARMUPS is something every orchestra conductor should definitely have included in student music folders. Since the focus is on warming up there is not a high degree of technique involved. They consist of eight warm-up exercises composed specifically for elementary or junior high students. There is also no reason why they could not be used with more advanced players. All exercises are in three part harmony and are very melodic and harmonic and enjoyable to perform. These short exercises are an excellent way for any string orchestra to start or finish a rehearsal concentrating on intonation and producing the best solid and full sound possible.
