String Orchestra - Level 3 - SKU: A0.734620 Composed by Eliot Daniel. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Contemporary. Score and parts. 10 pages. Chicory Music #6676835. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734620). On October 15, 1951, the very first episode of the I Love Lucy show aired on CBS and became the most watched TV show in the U.S. for four of its seven-year run. Fun trivia about the opening theme song is that during the first season the show opened with their sponsor Philip Morris’ animation of stick figure cartoons of Lucy and Desi climbing down a pack of Philip Morris cigarettes. It was scored with Ferde Grofé’s Jr. The Grand Canyon Suite theme (a composition from 1931).From the second season onwards, the I Love Lucy signature tune we all know so well became the main theme, and one of the most recognizable pieces of music on the planet. It was written by composer Eliot Daniel who cranked it out in an afternoon as a favor to his old Coast Guard buddy Jess Oppenheimer, the show’s producer. Since Daniel still had another year under his exclusive contract to Fox, he asked Oppenheimer to keep his name out of it. Consequently his name does not appear on first or the second season TV credits for what became one of the most popular TV themes. Later, Daniel did seek credit and received royalties from syndicated reruns for the rest of his life. The lyrics were written by Harold Adamson for an episode in the third season in which Lucy believes everyone has forgotten her birthday. So of course Ricky saves the day after a near disaster. This arrangement for String Orchestra plus optional Drum Set part remains faithful to the original.Performance Time Approx. 1 minute 25 seconds

Level: IntermediateTears from My Eyes: First Movement: Remember Your Feelings (for Full Orchestra with Cello and Oboe solos) Second Movement: Reflection and Contemplation (for Flute Choir with Flute solo) Third Movement: Love Lost: Finding Your Fire Again Fourth Movement: Mourning in the Rain (for Clarinet Choir with Clarinet solo) Fifth Movement: Onward and Upward (for String Orchestra with Cello and Violin solo)A few months ago, I received a call from my parents. My Mother had some sad news to give me. Dad was very ill. My whole life flashed before me. My parents were always 200% supportive of all my artistic endeavors. None of my success would have been possible but for my Dad and Mom. My memories of my Dad and my Mom flooded my mind like a deluge. When I heard the news about how gravely ill he was I thought to myself that so often we give thanks, honor, or show our love when it is too late. Who wants to be that person? I was finally in the unique position to show my gratitude and love to my parents in the most special way that I could - through music from my heart and soul. I got the courage to look deeply within and then I began to write what was to become the first and second songs, respectively Tears from My Eyes: Remember Your Feelings and Tears from My Eyes: Reflection and Contemplation on my Tears from My Eyes: Songs from my Soul album. You will now be able to do just the same for your loved ones with this new music. Your intermediate level to advanced students and even professional musicians should find this to be a welcomed piece to learn and master. It looks deceptively simple but the learning and challenge comes from two smaller sub-ensembles playing together in their own collective units legato con moto while playing together as a whole music ensemble Everyone will enjoy and bathe in the beautiful harmonies that will resonate when the entire music ensemble begins to listen to each while playing together as a group. Your musicians will hone their skills in playing together with just the right balance that this song requires. Your musicians will also hone their skills for subdividing and maintaining an inner beat that is in sync with your conducting because there is no percussion and the notes are freely flowing on and off the down beat yet not sounding heavily syncopated when performed. When will you know when you have achieved the right balance and flow of the music? You will know when, because you will hear it and feel it when it comes into place. But I can help you with all of this with what I have to offer you today. I share with you now the final and 5th movement to Tears from my Eyes - Onward and Upward (for String Orchestra). This particular was created and produced after the Songs from My Soul album was sent for distribution. So, this song has yet to be officially released. All five movements will be released as an album Mourning in the Rain. This 5th movement Onward and Upward has a decisive emotional resolution and conviction in its pathos. The dynamics reflect accordingly ranging from mf to fff indicative of overcoming adversity and grief. Imagine overcoming despair, rising out of grief and depression and finally seeing the light of day - to join the ranks of the living and re-embracing life once again.Contact info: Tito AbeledaVisionary Quest Recordshttps://www.visionaryquestrecordsEmail: tito@visionaryquestrecords.comFollow Tito on Social Media:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/titoabeledaTwitter:

Imagine overcoming despair, rising out of grief and depression and finally seeing the light of day - to join the ranks of the living and re-embracing life once again.Contact info: Tito AbeledaVisionary Quest Recordshttps://www.visionaryquestrecordsEmail: tito@visionaryquestrecords.comFollow Tito on Social Media:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/titoabeledaTwitter: https://twitter.com/titoabeleda

String Orchestra - Level 2 - SKU: A0.889428 Composed by Anonym. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Christmas,Classical,Concert,Holiday,Standards. Score and parts. 20 pages. Luis Anjos Teixeira #4726197. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889428). „Greensleeves is based on an Italian style of composition. Found in several late-16th-century and early 17th-century sources and preserved at the University of Cambridge. Christmas and New Year texts were associated with the tune from as early as 1686. The tune is contained in several of Dowland’s lute manuscripts; in William Ballet’s Lute Book; in Sir John Hawkins’ transcripts of virginal music; in The Dancing Master; The Beggar’s Opera; and in many other books. The earliest known source of the tune -Trinity College, Dublin ms. D. I.21, c. 1580 - known as William Ballet's lute book- gives the tune in the melodic minor scale. Greensleeves is also often played in a natural minor scale and in the Dorian Mode. This arrangement is inspired on the transcripts of virginal music from Sir John Hawkins’. The piece is appropriate for beginner students or amateurs and without any doubt very pleasant to listen when played by an experienced ensemble. It can be used in concerts and all sorts of spiritual or religious events. Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file. I hope you have a lot of fun and enjoy the music. Sheers! Thanks to Claudia Eppelt for the cover design, all the Love and inspiration. Special Thanks to Nina, Stray Queen Mimi, Carlinhos, Pontinha, Maria Joaninha, Schwarzenegger, Koboldinha. For all Living beings on Earth, for our Ancestors, Thank You for all of You All Your Love and Compassion. Love Forever. Luis Anjos Teixeira Disclaimer: The score was written on Finale and the sound file was produced with Garritan instruments.

String Orchestra - Level 4 - SKU: A0.869398 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 38 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #432015. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869398). Instrumentation: Violins 1a. Violins 1b. Violins 2a. Violins 2b. Viola. Cello. Double bass. Program note. I go to Rome every year during my winter break from teaching. My favorite statue in the Galleria Borghese is Bernini's Apollo and Daphne. It is amazingly alive and beautiful. When the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston asked me to write a work for string orchestra, I immediately thought of the fabulous Apollon Musagète by Stravinsky. Wouldn't it be fun to write a companion piece to the Stravinsky and call it Daphne? And since the Stravinsky Apollo is a ballet, my Daphne would be one as well, although an imaginary one. Daphne is in three sections. 1. Moderato ... Apollo struts around at a party, flirting with the nymphs and then suddenly he notices Daphne. He falls in love immediately. 2. Fuga ... Unnerved by Apollo's attention, Daphne flees. Apollo chases after her. 3. Largo ... Apollo catches up to Daphne and declares his love for her. She struggled to free herself from him and calls for help. To save Daphne from Apollo, her father Ladon, the river god, transforms Daphne into a laurel tree. Curtain.Audio link. One of the most well-known love songs of the Middle East is an Iraqi love song called Fog el Nakhl, which translates in English to “Above the Palm Trees.” The iconic melody, which begins at measure 32, is couched within an original melody that serves as an introduction and then reappears at the end to gently bring the song to a close. The entire piece is in a mode called Maqam Hijaz, which is built on the notes D, Eb, F#, G, A, Bb, C, and D.

I would like to present my first string orchestra, Walk Among The Gods. It includes a director's score, as well as individual parts for Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Violoncello, and Contrabass. This composition is centered around Greek Mythology by highlighting a different character in each movement; Aphrodite, Hades, Kronos and Zeus.Aphrodite: Dance With The Goddess of Love is written as a Polonaise (Polish dance) in a Rondo format. This movement is taken at an Andante.Hades: March to the Underworld is a haunting march written in G minor. I composed this in cut time at an Allegro Moderato. This is definitely my favorite of all four movements. Kronos: The God of Time is comprised of many different time signatures to go along with its meaning; 5/4, 6/8, 12/8, 4/4, 6/4, 3/8 and 3/4. Zeus: King of the Gods is meant to create a regal, but triumphant feel as the finale. I also had fun writing a good portion of this movement pizzicato. Enjoy!

Published by Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic (A0.1298603). ALL PURCHASES COME WITH SCORE AND PARTSSeptember 2011-Duration 4 minutes 30 seconds.  Written for Gary Woolf and the Banda Di Musica. This short waltz is named after an imaginary, childhood character of mine – a magic toy-maker. Its 2 melodies span 36 years. The first tune came to me when I was 8 years old and on holiday in the Co.Donegal town of Buncrana, west Ireland. Back then there was a small shop on Buncrana’s high street that sold everything from milk to DIY tools. And the name of the shop was “John Thinn And Sonâ€. I thought this was an awesome name and I remember the shop owner, the real Mr. Thinn, being a lovely kindly, rather shy and gentle man. And this inspired my childhood mind’s character of Mr.Thinn the magic-toy maker.  The 2nd theme arrived in September 2011 as soon as I had decided that Mr.Thinn’s first tune had waited long enough and now needed to find a permanent home. Once again writing for the wonderful Banda di musica has given me a unique chance to release an old and very special melody that has lain neglected and home-less for over 3 decades. The resulting piece is light hearted, fun and in a simple ABA form. There are 2 arrangements; No. 1 – School Arrangement ; Violins 1, 2 and 3, Cellos 1 and 2No. 2 – Standard Arrangement ; Violins 1 and 2, Viola, Cello and Double BassThere are a few violin and cello solos throughout which are to be played by the section leaders. These are of moderate difficulty.

Published by Aaron Meier (A0.922634). Original by Johann Strauss II Reduction to String Orchestra by Aaron Meier Part: Violin I True to the original work by Strauss, this reduction for string orchestra features the ornaments and mystical writing that defines Strauss' polkas. There are optional percussion parts to be added at the discretion of the ensemble, however even without percussion the ensemble will sound full (the percussion acts as an ornament). Difficulty: Intermediate-advanced - advanced (best-suited for advanced student ensembles) --- Performance Notes: • Approximate length: 3:30 minutes • 1st Violins: In m. 1, trill a half step from a D♠to a D♮ • 2nd Violins:  - At m. 42, divide players by 3, with 2 players playing line A and the remaining player playing line B  - At m. 72-75, emphasize the E♠in the div. • Snare Drum: The buzz roll needs to be quieter than how it is played in the midi recording (*see YouTube link ↓) History: The Olga-Polka itself owed its creation to a Russian royal wedding which took place in St. Petersburg on 28 August 1857. On that day, amid accompanying splendour, the music-loving Grand Duke Michail Nikolaievich (1832-1909), youngest brother of Tsar Alexander II, married Princess Caecilie of Baden (1839-91), daughter of Archduke Leopold of Baden. Johann Strauss, who at that time was giving a summer season of concerts in nearby Pavlovsk, used the opportunity occasioned by the event to enhance his already enviable popularity with the Russian royal family and composed the Caecilien-Polka in honour of the lovely young bride. Indeed, it is clear from a letter which Johann wrote in late July 1857 to Carl Haslinger, his publisher in Vienna, that the new polka had been prepared well in advance of the wedding (the fair copy of the full orchestral score made for the publisher's engraver is dated 9 August) and was enjoying success even before the royal couple's official engagement on 16August 1857. Sometime after performing the Caecilien-Polka in Pavlovsk, Johann despatched the work to the Austrian capital where his brother Josef conducted its Viennese première, together with that of Johann's waltz Telegraphische Depeschen (op. 195, Volume 28), at his own benefit concert in the Volksgartenon Sunday 18 October 1857. The Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (16.10.1857) remarked that both works have caused a sensation in St. Petersburg and are truly genial Viennese sounds full of verve and melody. Since tradition demanded that the German Princess Caecilie adopt a Russian name - Olga Feodorovna - before her marriage, so Johann's Caecilien-Polka also underwent a change of identity. On 8 December 1857 Carl Haslinger announced the publication of Strauss's Olga-Polka, on the title page of which is the inscription: Dedicated to her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Olga, née Princess of Baden. It was under this title, too, that Johann himself first conducted the work in Vienna at a concert in the Volksgarten on 1 November 1857, shortly after his return from Russia. Reporting on this event, the Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (3.11.1857) observed: The 'Olga-Polka' is a most delightful, fragrant musical bouquet, full of fine, gracious rhythms. String Orchestra - Level 4 - SKU: A0.922637 Composed by Johann Strauss Jr. Arranged by Aaron Meier. Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 1 pages. Aaron Meier #5792373. Published by Aaron Meier (A0.922637). Original by Johann Strauss II Reduction to String Orchestra by Aaron Meier Part: Cello True to the original work by Strauss, this reduction for string orchestra features the ornaments and mystical writing that defines Strauss' polkas.
