String Orchestra - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1207072 Composed by Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764). Arranged by A. Marbut 2022. Children,Classical,Holiday,Instructional,Traditional. 2 pages. Amy Marbut #805248. Published by Amy Marbut (A0.1207072). This is only the SCORE.  This piece is performed as a 2 part round. It begins in unison and then splits into the round when the song repeats. This way all students are playing together in unison before they experience the round.  All instrument parts can be bought separately and contain both lines of music. They can also all be combined for mixed groups/ larger ensembles. There is no string bass part (only violin, viola, cello). My beginner students needed a Halloween group ensemble piece appropriate for their level. So I made this arrangement of Frere Jacques in minor and named it Brother Skeleton. The arrangement was written in 2022.

Score and Parts. 1 pages. Amy Marbut #805256. Published by Amy Marbut (A0.1207077). This traditional piece was composed by Jean-Philippe Rameau. It has been arranged here for beginner orchestral string ensembles.  This piece has been changed to MINOR to give it a creepy and sad feeling. Perfect for Halloween performances. It is also a great instructional tool to educate kids about counterpoint/ harmony and musical structure. It starts with both lines in unison to help students adapt to each other in a group setting. Midway through the piece breaks into a round to teach about harmony and structure.  This composition is intended for beginner orchestral string ensembles. The score, viola 1+2, cello 1+2, can be purchased separately . All parts contain both lines of music and can stand on their own. (example: a group of violins will only need this file). Â

Olga-Polka, Op. 196 (arr. for string orchestra): Violin I

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.922634 Composed by Johann Str…
(+)
String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.922634 Composed by Johann Strauss Jr. Arranged by Aaron Meier. Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 1 pages. Aaron Meier #5792359. Published by Aaron Meier (A0.922634). Original by Johann Strauss II Reduction to String Orchestra by Aaron Meier Part: Violin I True to the original work by Strauss, this reduction for string orchestra features the ornaments and mystical writing that defines Strauss' polkas. There are optional percussion parts to be added at the discretion of the ensemble, however even without percussion the ensemble will sound full (the percussion acts as an ornament). Difficulty: Intermediate-advanced - advanced (best-suited for advanced student ensembles) --- Performance Notes: • Approximate length: 3:30 minutes • 1st Violins: In m. 1, trill a half step from a D♠to a D♮ • 2nd Violins:  - At m. 42, divide players by 3, with 2 players playing line A and the remaining player playing line B  - At m. 72-75, emphasize the E♠in the div. • Snare Drum: The buzz roll needs to be quieter than how it is played in the midi recording (*see YouTube link ↓) History: The Olga-Polka itself owed its creation to a Russian royal wedding which took place in St. Petersburg on 28 August 1857. On that day, amid accompanying splendour, the music-loving Grand Duke Michail Nikolaievich (1832-1909), youngest brother of Tsar Alexander II, married Princess Caecilie of Baden (1839-91), daughter of Archduke Leopold of Baden. Johann Strauss, who at that time was giving a summer season of concerts in nearby Pavlovsk, used the opportunity occasioned by the event to enhance his already enviable popularity with the Russian royal family and composed the Caecilien-Polka in honour of the lovely young bride. Indeed, it is clear from a letter which Johann wrote in late July 1857 to Carl Haslinger, his publisher in Vienna, that the new polka had been prepared well in advance of the wedding (the fair copy of the full orchestral score made for the publisher's engraver is dated 9 August) and was enjoying success even before the royal couple's official engagement on 16August 1857. Sometime after performing the Caecilien-Polka in Pavlovsk, Johann despatched the work to the Austrian capital where his brother Josef conducted its Viennese première, together with that of Johann's waltz Telegraphische Depeschen (op. 195, Volume 28), at his own benefit concert in the Volksgartenon Sunday 18 October 1857. The Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (16.10.1857) remarked that both works have caused a sensation in St. Petersburg and are truly genial Viennese sounds full of verve and melody. Since tradition demanded that the German Princess Caecilie adopt a Russian name - Olga Feodorovna - before her marriage, so Johann's Caecilien-Polka also underwent a change of identity. On 8 December 1857 Carl Haslinger announced the publication of Strauss's Olga-Polka, on the title page of which is the inscription: Dedicated to her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Olga, née Princess of Baden. It was under this title, too, that Johann himself first conducted the work in Vienna at a concert in the Volksgarten on 1 November 1857, shortly after his return from Russia. Reporting on this event, the Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (3.11.1857) observed: The 'Olga-Polka' is a most delightful, fragrant musical bouquet, full of fine, gracious rhythms. Original by Johann Strauss II Reduction to String Orchestra by Aaron Meier Part: Violin II True to the original work by Strauss, this reduction for string orchestra features the ornaments and mystical writing that defines Strauss' polkas. There are optional percussion parts to be added at the discretion of the ensemble, however even without percussion the ensemble will sound full (the percussion acts as an ornament). String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1324947 Composed by Jonathon Erickson. 21st Century,Contemporary. 61 pages. J. Erickson Compositions #913165. Published by J. Erickson Compositions (A0.1324947). Continuing the tradition of pieces based on characters in the Dungeons and Dragons game that I run, The Bedouin of Wyrms follows a young ranger who struggles to find a place in the world, trying to find out how to deal of moral quandaries with no correct answer. Despite this, Sylveon Jastire keeps a kind heart and solemn sense of purpose. The Passionate Sylveon Jastire is young and adventurous, with the naivete to match. With this outlook, she cares about only one thing; protecting her family by entering the wilds and taking care of any threats before they even have the chance to become problems. The Lamented and The Headstrong Sylveon, known colloquially as Silver, learns the difficulties of the world, and that nothing is as straight-forward as it was at her desert temple home. In the second movement, Silver learns the consequences actions have on the world, both good and bad. In the third, her resolve tightens as she doubles down on her ideals. This proves to be a good thing, as her tenacity eventually leads to her liberation. The Free Silvers work has paid off. Through a strong belief in her ideals and a little flexibility in her methods, Silver has Met countless friends, slain countless evils, and saved the brother she never knew she had from an evil that lurked beneath. Now nothing holds her back and Silver has grown to be one of the strongest people in Verdai.

String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742424 Composed by Allesandro Marcello. Arranged by Arte Nova Music Lab. Baroque,Concert,Standards,World. Score and parts. 31 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #3676467. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742424). The Oboe Concerto in D minor, S D935, is an early 18th-century concerto for oboe, strings and continuo attributed to the Venetian composer Alessandro Marcello. The earliest extant manuscript containingJohann Sebastian Bach's solo keyboard arrangement of the concerto, BWV 974, dates from around 1715. As a concerto for oboe, strings and continuo its oldest extant sources date from 1717: that year it was printed in Amsterdam, and a C minor variant of the concerto, S Z799, was written down.Bach's keyboard version was published as an arrangement of a concerto by Antonio Vivaldi in the 19th century. In 1923 the C minor version of the oboe concerto was published as a composition by Benedetto Marcello, Alessandro's brother. In the second half of the 20th century several publications indicated Alessandro again as the composer of the piece, as it had been in its early 18th-century print, and the oboe concerto was again published in its D minor version. As well oboe concerto versions and versions based on Bach's arrangement kept repertoire in the 20th and 21st century.Taken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oboe_Concerto_(Marcello)

Published by DGoggansGuitar (A0.1082996). This concerto for classical guitar was composed for Diana Richardson and the Cleveland School of the Arts Orchestra in September of 2021. Resilience is meant to be a musical reflection on Damian's last two years of High school, which was plagued with a pandemic. The title questions the reasoning of the world's resilience during these times. While mother nature worked to kill us, we continued to kill each other. Rather than work together, we stormed our nation's capital, and continued to promote violence against ourselves based upon our differences. Nothing changed and nothing was learned, so what was the point.... Author's Note: Measures 48-59 are dedicated to the memory of my baby brother D'king Goggans.

String orchestra - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q15947 Victoria Maesta. Composed by George Muffat. This edition: score. Concertino. Downloadable, Score. Duration 10 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q15947. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q15947). Muffat, pupil of Lully and Corelli, composed his concerto „Victoria Maesta“ („Sad Victory“) in 1689 as organist and chamber musician in the court of the archbishop of Salzburg. The title refers to the taking of Belgrad during which the archbishop’s brother was killed in 1688; therefore the piece begins with a solemn funeral march in C minor, in elaborate and artistic contrapuntal technique in the sense of Corelli’s adagio type.
