The Easy Concert Pieces series by the experienced piano teacher Monika Twelsiek presents easy piano pieces for beginners in progressive order. Three volumes have already been published. .

These pieces are intended to complement a piano tutorial method and are particularly suitable for performance at auditions, concerts, competitions and examinations. They offer varied repertoire in a broad selection of pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras. .

Volume 3 is aimed at advanced players who wish to refine their expression and personal interpretation. The pieces demand a great deal of dexterity, a high sense of rhythm, articulation and phrasing, polyphonic playing (polyphony even in one hand) and tonal differentiation of the piano setting. .

Volume 1 (ED 22547) is meant for beginners. The pieces span a single octave and stay within five-finger positions. Other criteria for the selection of the pieces are simple rhythms and very easy chord playing. Crossing the thumb under, polyphony and pedal are not required yet. .

Volume 2 (ED 22548) extends the range to two octaves. Hand turns (crossing the thumb under), pedal, simple polyphony and three- or four-part chords all feature in Volume 2, as do simple ornaments, playing cantabile and differentiating between melody and accompaniment.

This is not a conventional collection of harmless little piano pieces but rather a thought-provoking idiosyncratic curio in homage to David Tudor.

The three-volume collection Mini Maestro presents little piano pieces advancing progressively from very easy to intermediate level, presented in chronological order across five centuries from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras through to jazz, pop and minimal music. An irresistible elemental power emanates from the eleven pieces of the Musica Ricercata composed between 1951 and 1953. The early piano work by the famous Hungarian Gyorgy Ligeti arose from experiments with minimalist structures of rhythm and sound in order to build a New Music from nothing, so to speak, according to Ligeti himself. The effect that he achieves with just a few tones is inspiring. In the first piece, he uses one tone to which is added another tone at the end. In the second piece, the music consists of three tones, in the third of four, up to twelve tones in the eleventh piece. The second piece of the Music Ricercata served as soundtrack for the film Eyes Wide Shut by Stanley Kubrick.

Chopin is considered to have been the founder of what was a new style of sensitive virtuoso piano playing among the Romantics. Heinrich Heine made the telling comment about him that "He is not only a virtuoso, he is also a poet". This volume contains original piano compositions such as Preludes, Mazurkas , Waltzes and Polonaises, along with arrangements of the loveliest themes from his two Piano Concertos, three pieces of chamber music and a song.

The 1966 spaghetti Western "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo) is one of Sergio Leone's most famous films.
Starring Clint Eastwood ("the Good"), Lee Van Cleef ("the Bad") and Eli Wallach ("the Ugly"), the film is the final part of the "Dollars Trilogy" (also known as "Man with No Name Trilogy"), all of which were scored by Ennio Morricone.

The film's theme is the first track on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, where it appears as "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly - Main Title".

The iconic two-note melody (which might remind you of the howling of a coyote) is a guiding motif of the film, and is played by different instruments for each of the three main characters.

Ennio Morricone's theme for "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is considered one of the most iconic scores in film history, and is among the most recognizable pieces of music ever written.

Needless to say, it makes for a wonderful piano cover!

La Valse D'amelie is one composition of the soundtrack to the 2001 French film Am�lie.

Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet chanced upon the accordion- and piano-driven music of Yann Tiersen while driving with his production assistant who put on a CD he had not heard before. Greatly impressed, he immediately bought Tiersen's entire catalogue and eventually commissioned him to compose pieces for the film. The soundtrack features both compositions from Tiersen's first three albums, as well as new items, variants of which can be found on his fourth album, L'Absente, which he was writing at the same time.

Besides the accordion and piano, the music features parts played with harpsichord, banjo, bass guitar, vibraphone, and even a bicycle wheel at the end of "La Dispute" (which plays over the opening titles in the motion picture).
